Great Pic and Sound go hand in hand with a GREAT PRICE.
by dbharris9 on November 30, 2011
Pros: Excellent Picture and excellent sound. Simple yet useful controls. Very easy setup.
Cons: Could use more HDMI ports (only has 2) as well as more Composite and Component ports as well. Perhaps that is what keeps the cost down and if so, I am more than ok with that.
Summary: A great 50+ inch TV for less than $650. The picture quality is superb and the sound is great as well. Within 30 minutes of having the TV home, we ...
Summary: A great 50+ inch TV for less than $650. The picture quality is superb and the sound is great as well. Within 30 minutes of having the TV home, we had it hanging in place on the wall and were watching Tebow and the Broncos in HD. My only regret is that I didn't have it during the World Series as I can only imagine how great Baseball will be on it! The set could use more HDMI ports as it only has 2, but that is easily solved with a 4 x 1 HDMI switch. Which is exactly what I did. If this helps keep the cost of this TV down to the consumer, it is worth it. Overall, a great TV and a great price.

No better bang for your buck.

Pros: Excellent picture... The audio is surprisingly great (and I'm an audiophile)... The colors really pop. The features are simple yet useful...
Cons: The only real cons are just some of the reviews. Evidently, many people have had bad luck with this model. In my own personal opinion, burn in is somewhat of an issue but thats to be expected from the PDP type of display anyhow.

Summary: I was looking for a set in the $549 - $799 range... Hoped I would find an open box or floor model... I didn't expect to get anything larger than about a 42" for my price:quality criterion... Went to Frys, Walmart, looked on Newegg and Amazon and never quite found the right set. Somehow I ended up in Bestbuy and when I looked at this set, and saw the price tag to be $647.99, there was no way I could pass. To be real, anything less than 50" would have not fed my insatiable hunger for an excessively sized T.V. to watch the college and pro football, boxing, the S.F. Giants in the spring, and to play video games on. For some people it may turn out too good to be true. For me? I'm am soooooooo winning, and for a lot cheaper and a lot better quality then people I know who've had these sets a several years now.

Great TV for my first plasma
by ROLLTIDE85 on January 11, 2012
Pros: Awesome picture, and great price
Cons: Nothing really, the sound problem everyone complains of should be expected. It has 2 small speakers

Summary: Bought this TV as an open box the day after Christmas. Got home and hooked up, and learned that regular satellite TV is not good, so we ordered a new dish and HD DVR box. Can't comment on that, hasn't arrived yet. Watching Blu-Ray movies shows the real quality of how awesome the picture is.Sound is good and clear, just not very loud. This is coming from a 60" console that had built in sound system, so there is a huge difference. Got surround sound with powered sub, and watching movies and football games with it on is awesome. Not sure on features, and internet stuff, but I just use the TV for watching.
great quality tv for a price that can't be beat
by dakiwi13 on December 10, 2011
Pros: great resolution, colors are vibrant, motion blur handling is superb, incredibly thin for such a big tv
Cons: DOES NOT SWIVEL. not enough connections: no vga or dvi and no hdmi output, sound could be better, hard to see clear pictures at certain angles and/or lighting, not internet port
Summary: bought it on sale at best buy. wasn't looking for a tv THIS big, but the price got me. stepped up from a 42 inch samsung plasma with lotsa ...
Summary: bought it on sale at best buy. wasn't looking for a tv THIS big, but the price got me. stepped up from a 42 inch samsung plasma with lotsa connections, but it was much thicker than this one. i've got a ps3 hooked up, a mid-level sony a/v receiver hooked up, and occasionally an entertainment pc hooked up to it. it handles fast moving pictures very easily. colors are deep and rich while on some programs. but it can be very vibrant when watching sports. white balance could be better, but for this price i'm not too concerned. sound is sub-par, but that's why i have a $2500 sound system. best thing about tv is the remote; it's very light weight, and fits in smaller hands very well. but doesn't feel cheap at all. coming out of the box, it does take a good bit of tweaking in order to get it to my liking, but i'm very finicky when it comes to how my electronics should behave at all times. have only used the usb port 1 time to view pics, that was nice, but it should have had internet port. overall for the price i paid ($650) it was a spectacular buy. tv was bigger yet was thinner and lighter than my 5 yr old 42 inch samsung plasma. biggest gripe is that the stand does not swivel AT ALL, something my older plasma did
It really has stunning picture quality
