Great TV but absolutely false advertising.

Pros: Excellent picture, nice user interface. Very happy with the slim design and views from the sides.
Cons: The highly anticipated "apps" will only play sound through the internal TV speakers. There is no fix to get the sound to play to your external speakers.
Summary: I was very disappointed to pay big bucks for this TV, and an additional $80 for the wireless adaptor in order to get the apps, just to find that I ...

Summary: I was very disappointed to pay big bucks for this TV, and an additional $80 for the wireless adaptor in order to get the apps, just to find that I can not listen to any of the apps on my surround sound system. I originally bought this TV because of the apps and was thinking I might not need a Blu Ray player, because some apps stream Blu Ray quality movies to the TV. However when I contacted Samsung they told me on three different occasions that the apps will ONLY play sound through the tiny internal speakers on the TV and that there is no fix available. A company as established as Samsung owes it to it's customers to provide this information. When I talked to the specialist at Best Buy and HH Gregg they were also unaware of this issue. With bad customer service, and misleading advertising, I will be returning my TV and going with another brand.

Slow Internet Connectivity
by nsenrof
on
August 29, 2010
Pros: I love the ultra-thin design and great picture quality.
Cons: The Internet-ready is simply not ready. I bought this TV for the @Internet feature - primarily streaming NetFlix. Unfortunately, this TV can't seem to take advantage of my ~30mbs download speeds.
Summary: The TV only gets <1mbs, while all of my laptops get ~30mbs. It seems like a problem with the firmware, so I hope they fix it soon.

Pros: Easy Setup, Great Picture, Nice Sound and Mates Beautifully with the Samsung BDC6500 Wi-Fi Blu-ray Player.
Cons: This set recognizes a signal on HDMI and changes but not on component, very small con.
Summary: This is a fantastic upgrade from LCD. Circuit city has them on sale for 1199.00, that?s less than I paid for my Sanyo 46?. You will not be ...

Great picture - TV not able to access wireless
by CaldoDeGallina

Pros: Very slim, handsome design. Picture remarkable, especially baseball!
Cons: Have called Samsung tech support numerous times, friendly but inconsistent and ultimately (as of now) unable to provide solution. I purchased wireless dongle ($79/BestBuy) to access widgets and Internet@TV features.
Summary: Great looking set, but Samsung may have released model with widgets and Internet @TV access before it was ready. It would be more reassuring if Samsung Tech Support had consistent ...

Summary: Great looking set, but Samsung may have released model with widgets and Internet @TV access before it was ready. It would be more reassuring if Samsung Tech Support had consistent solution suggestions for solving access problems. First it was a Comcast problem, now they are pointing fingers at Netgear. In the meantime, I've spent hours with tech support, don't have access to a feature that helped make my purchase decision and I'm stuck with unnecessary and useless $79. option that provides no value.
Seeking advice through forums, but no progress yet. I'll update this posting if I ever find a solution.

Fantastic picture quality & slim modern design 1" width

Pros: Looked at Sony, Sharp, Panasonic and Hitachi LED TV's and Samsung hands down had nicer, clearer and sharper image!
Cons: Needed to contact Samsung support in order to download software for internet connectivity. Very easy to do, but this was an extra step in the process of getting your TV set up.
Summary: Disagree with CNET reviewer on the picture quality of this LED vs LCD. This LED has a 5,000,000 to 1 contrast ratio and produces a picture quality that ...

Summary: Disagree with CNET reviewer on the picture quality of this LED vs LCD. This LED has a 5,000,000 to 1 contrast ratio and produces a picture quality that surpases any LCD HDTV that I have seen. The Series 6 Samsung cosmetically is a very attractive looking frame and stand. You won't be disappointed!!

Summary: Bought this TV to replace a 46" Samsung DLP after the light engine began to fail for the scond time and it was out of warranty. I was hesitant to buy another Samsung, but after researching all my options I kept coming back to the vibrant picture quality that sold me on my first Samsung. I was not initially happy with the image quality when I first hooked up the TV because everything that I watched looked like it was filmed as if it was a soap opera. But after searching online for calibration settings, I was able to adjust it to my liking and I have to say I am still very pleased with the picture. My on gripe is when viewing programs where the screen should be black, the edge lighting can be seen slightly in the corners (especially in the lower right side). The only other negative is that the X shaped stand forces you to set the TV 5" back from the edge of a TV stand. This is a problem because the entertainment center that I have it in was purchased with the DLP in mind, which I was able to set right up to the edge of the stand. I am 95% happy with the performance of this TV, but wish that I had researched the edge lighting a bit more and bought a full backlit LED.

Summary: when watching movies or Cable I see these green lines that keep popping up when watching wide screen movies, it does it on both Direct TV and PS3 I even switched out my HDMI cables for new ones, same problem, so I took the TV back and got a brand new one again and same problem took it back to a different location and same problem again, had Samsung Send me out a Tech to fix it and he didn't even know what to do, he said he never seen anything like it, I think I may have found the problem out, on this model the AC power cord only has 2 prongs instead of 3 like most HDTV's do, I believe since it's not properly grounded it keeps getting a shock, so I bought a Monster Cable power strip to help supply "cleaner" power, same problem, Samsung said they would replace it themselves but I won't see the TV for 2 weeks, this is a joke, what can I do? if you have this model watch a wide screen movie when the black bars show on top and bottom and watch the bottom of the screen and tell me if you get the same issue. I mean I love the TV and everything but those green flashes bother the heck out of me when watching a movie. look at this youtube video I posted of it.

Summary: Got this TV in August to replace a similar one that was stolen. So far I am very satisfied with the purchase. The TV was a bit expensive for the size but the picture is great. Watching blu-rays on it is really cool. All of my friends tell me how impressed they are by the picture quality. The design is very sleek. This TV is very thin and surprisingly light yet sturdy. Comes with plenty of connections.
Only major problem with it is that it doesn't have built in wifi. In order to connect to the internet you have to either purchase a part for ~$50 or plug it in to a LAN line.
