The good: The beautifully thin Samsung UNES8000 LED TV seems to have come from a year or two in the future. Its massive feature set includes a touch-pad remote, IR blaster, four pairs of 3D glasses, motion and voice command, and the industry's most capable Smart TV platform. Its picture quality boasts superb color accuracy along with industry-leading video processing and 3D performance.
The bad: Lighter black levels and imperfect screen uniformity hamper its picture significantly, especially for such an expensive TV. Samsung charges too much for extra features that are largely unnecessary and poorly implemented.
The bottom line: Although it hits plenty of high points, the Samsung UNES8000 LED TV cannot ultimately justify its high price.

Integrated cameraCons: 1) Voice and Motion control is a feature that is cool but not something you will use everyday if use at all. It needs some improvements, the good thing is that they can be done via a firmware update.

Before I bought the TV I spend a lot of time researching different reviews about Sony, Panasonic, Sharp and Samsung but specially I read a lot of expert forums and overall the best bank for the buck on this price range is Samsung without a doubt. So I decide to buy the UN65ES8000 about 3 weeks ago but end up having to exchange for another one because it had a dead pixel and a little of flash light effect on one of the corners, but after I got the replacement all I can say is WOW!. If you have a good video source for HD programming 1080p like a DirectTV or a good blueray player you will be amaze, is almost like looking through a window. 3D picture and conversion from 2D to 3D works perfect I did't notice any crosstalk.
I have no regret no doubt is the best LED TV on the market at the moment if you have the Money.
One advice if you are going to buy one is to get it from Amazon or a local store that sell a lot to ensure you get one from the second batch of inventory that came from Samsung. The first batch of TV did in fact have a manufacture issue where the screen shows a clouding, flash light effect and four corners. The new batch don't have any of this issues, again the picture is perfect.
The way to know if you got a TV from the second batch is if the TV tells you that there are no new firmware updates when you do the configuration the first time.3 out of 3 users found this user opinion helpful.

What works, works very well

Pros: Dual CPU is fast. OOTB, contrast amazing - blacks are deep as life & whites are as brilliant as the eye could take - easy to adjust to anything between. Great tones. $ for $ very good value. Primary use is visual, using a separate audio system.
Cons: Audio is typical of today's TVs - inadequate. Also, remote can't control volume on anything except the TV, even cable remote is better. Blurs on occasion. Not sure of recommended motion settings. Samsung still delivering wifi problems.

It's less than 30 days, so I could have moved to a different TV, but the pros outweigh the cons considerably, so I am happy with getting a replacement TV. The picture is better than my XBR.
I've noticed some blurring with motion, so I am playing with the motion control settings. It's quite a bit better now, but I'm not sure of recommended motion settings, so I am still experimenting, but there are lots of settings to choose from & I'm not sure why there are so many, after all, nobody chooses "blur!"
I can't imagine the picture being any better after calibration, but if it gets better than this, wow!
I was pleasantly surprised to see it shipped with the stand assembled & attached. Just plug it in and go! The set-up is very attractive and the long stand adds stability. -
