Awesome TV. Cant go wrong with HX800
Pros: Nice PQ, all the apps when networked are cool too. Lots of HDMI ports.
Cons: The sound is not good unless hooking external speakers up. Also it would be nice if there was a few more RCA jack outlets. Picture clarity is a little hard to get just right.
Summary: I purchased my 46HX800 for $1,380. Cant beat that. Works great with 2 DirecTV HD DVR's, PS3, Wii and internet hooked to it. Netflix streams nice on it ...

Sony's XBR's are the best TV on the market
by tryingalways on December 17, 2011
Pros: Color is very good and bright, (XBR still better), very reliable. Someone that does not know much about TV's, this would be a gold mine with all it's settings in many of use (HD, game connections, PC connections, SONY's Internet APPS, and yes the 3D
Cons: Speakers are in rear facing down, with the TV too close to table top. Internet connection, Sony has not fixed the problem of the TV still tries to update even with all(2)the updates turned off
Summary: Sony is a very reliable on their products, someone may say "it's cost is too high", they will out last their competitors life and quality....

I love this TV. I own the 55 inch as well!
by snovelo on August 31, 2011
Pros: Everything, the picture. Sony is the best.
Cons: The 3D transmitter is not built in the TV.
Summary: I love this Tv so much. It is a waste to look at LG or other crappy brands. Stick with Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, or Sharp. Do not buy anything else. ...

Overall ok TV, BUT...
by ziki61 on May 14, 2011
Pros: - Picture contrast is great
- Colors are superb
- Easy to calibrate yourself
- Motionflow works great and the 240hx really help with fast action sceneCons: - NO local dimming, with a LED TV, if you don't have this feature you WILL have white clouds in the corner of the tv, every LED tv will have this problem if they don't provide some sort of local dimming feature.
- Sound is bad, really bad, you have to pluSummary: It's a good TV but not great, the white cloud on the corner are (for me) really annoying and the speaker simply suck. I've returned it and got ...

Great overall T.V.
by graysalomi on February 26, 2011
Pros: 3d. Internet access. Beautiful screen. Small frame around TV.
Cons: Because it is side-lit LED, there is considerable light that shines in the corners of the screen when it's supposed to be a black screen. This is normal for side-lit LEDs though, and can be reduced with calibration. Also, the sound isn't fantastic.
Summary: This T.V. is top notch. The 3d is awesome. The 2d picture on this T.V. is on-par if not better than any other T.V. on the market. ...
Summary: This T.V. is top notch. The 3d is awesome. The 2d picture on this T.V. is on-par if not better than any other T.V. on the market. I love the fact that you can connect it to the internet to access netflix and youtube directly from your T.V. The frame around this T.V. isn't much bigger than an inch, which I appreciate because I hate huge frames around the screen. The T.V. is built well and feels solid. Oh, and the 240hz refresh rate means you'll never see any streaking or "ghosts" in your picture.
Because it is side-lit LED, there is considerable light that shines in the corners of the screen when it's supposed to be a black screen. This is a minor annoyance, but is normal for side-lit LEDs, and can be reduced with calibration. Also, the sound isn't fantastic, I find myself turning the T.V. up pretty loud. This is nothing a new surround sound can't fix though. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and recommend this T.V. to all of my friends and customers. -
Beautiful picture, great price!
by ktilford27 on February 22, 2011
Pros: - Very high contrast and brilliant color on the display, none of the "hyper-real" edging like roommate's Samsung.
- 3D feature works well, even "converts" 2D with decent results
- Sony on-screen menus are easy to navigate
- Thinner, stylish designCons: - Separate 3D transmitter and pricey glasses, but the Sony combo pack is a good value (especially if the store bundles it for free!)
- Not as thin as some other LED modelsSummary: I went to the store to check a Panasonic plasma, and came out with this instead. The vibrant color, exceptional contrast and clarity, and very functional 3D mode won me ...
Summary: I went to the store to check a Panasonic plasma, and came out with this instead. The vibrant color, exceptional contrast and clarity, and very functional 3D mode won me over. In my opinion, it's the best-looking display with the most features at this price point ($1099 on sale at BB)--throw in the Transmitter / Glasses / DVD bundle and it was an easy choice!

Great tv for the price!
by Natewheezy on January 29, 2011
Pros: I currently work for BBY and after working with these tv's all day I realized that this was the tv that would do everything I need it to. The dimming on this tv is fantastic and the motion flow is truly wonderful. One of the best purchases I've made!
Cons: finding a good place for the 3D sensor is a bit of a pain, but I knew that when getting it. It's not the LX series after all.

Summary: I can't stop watching my TV it is a beautiful thing. WIth HD dish and a Sony Blue Ray running into my Sony 7.1 receiver then to the TV all via HDMI it's a sight to behold. If your going to buy a TV this nice you should be willing to spend the money to deliver HD video.

TV is great. Using for antenna is not acceptable
by WyoWiz on December 3, 2010
Pros: Good Picture and value
Cons: Can't easily switch channels with air antenna - see below
Slow to re-act and tune
Sound is not "loud"Summary: After setup - using over-the-air antennas - the TV defaults to analog channels even when no analog channel found or turned on. That means you have to enter "4.1" ...
Summary: After setup - using over-the-air antennas - the TV defaults to analog channels even when no analog channel found or turned on. That means you have to enter "4.1" to switch to digital channel 4. Entering "4" will always get analog channel 4 - and snow and noise.
Only good for cable/satellite where you do not have to enter digital channel numbers
