The good: The Sony HX750 offers excellent color accuracy for an LCD and will give a decent picture without too much calibration. The feature count is one of the highest of any Sony TV this year. Styling is subdued but elegant, and it's not all about looks, because it's also easy to use.
The bad: The overall picture quality is hampered by light black levels. No 3D glasses are included, which is disappointing for a high-level TV. Compared with the stiff competition, this Sony is too expensive for what you get.
The bottom line: The Sony HX750 series isn't the headliner that you'd expect it to be with a performance that isn't up to the level of the asking price.

Simply Beautiful.

Pros: Beautiful PQ, Deep Blacks, Dynamic Edge LED, 3D Ready, Apps and widgets galore,Beautiful Design, Simply the best LED HDTV made by Sony yet.
Cons: None. The reports on some websites that this tv suffers from clouding or light bleeding dont apply at least not to my tv!

Summary: First for Cnet to be compareing this HDTV in their video to Panasonics Plasma's is just not fair because everyone knows that plasma tv's produce blacks that cant be beat...by ANY HDTV! But what the HX750 does do is give you excellent PQ and blacks that will satisfy any HT enthusiast. I am very nitpicky when it comes to PQ and blacks and I will say this HDTV out does my expectations. You want widgets and apps? It has it. You want excellent 3D? This tv delievers one of the best 3D experiences you could ever ask for. To sum it up this way: This is one of the best HDTV's yet made by Sony. And no matter what CNET may say it IS worth the money and then some. Buy it because you wont regret it...not by a long shot.

Unfair comparison of LED SONY with a Plasma Panasonic
by neilsurf on May 7, 2012
Pros: The ST50 is a PLASMA unit and usually are 30 percent cheaper and have better dark contrast. The ST50 is a hotter runner and 2 1/2 thicker.
I have an older SONYs (LED) & Panasonic's Plasma, both run well, I would not put the Plasma in the Sun roomCons: I would have liked to have learned how much of an improvement the 750 is over the older EX700 with regard to the picture and the 240HZ but no info there.
Summary: Will probably by a 750 in the Fall.

Elegant device, fantastic picture quality.
by MaxxMurxx on June 16, 2013
Pros: 1. Picture quality even for enthusiasts like myself is fantastic.
2. 4 HDMI, one SCART, one RGB and one PC input (VGA, all PCs can be connected by the HDMI inlets)
3. NO signal outputCons: 1. The multitude of possibilites to adjust, calibrate and tune
2. Electronic manual available only.
3. The so called "network ability" is a bad joke.
4. NO signal outputSummary: The SONY is a fantastic TV if being used as computer monitor or as simple monitor for other devices. As "stand alone TV" it is a typical "SONY" in which ...
Summary: The SONY is a fantastic TV if being used as computer monitor or as simple monitor for other devices. As "stand alone TV" it is a typical "SONY" in which all good ideas are destroyed or invalidated by "protection" mechanisms. I like my BRAVIA very much but only because it is my computer monitor and switching it on and off is everything I do with it.
Sorry for having listed "NO signal output" under PRO. That was a silly mistake during writing. For me it is the "CON of the CONs".
Some of the disadvantages:
1. The hiogh number of possibilites to adjust, calibrate and tune TV image settings, sound and input signals requires some technical explanations. It is probably a good thing to be able to choose between "Color matrix ITU 709" and "Color Matrix ITU 601" setup for every single input channel and to activate "MPEG noise filter", "Pixel noise filter" and "Dynamic noise filter" (always seperately for every input) but it cannot be found anywhere in the manual what ITU 709 or "ITU 601" means or if "MPEG noise" also occurs in AVI videos (AVI is a codec container like MKV . MPEG videos in AVI files still are played as MPEG). Other questions waiting for an answered by SONY: Does "MPEG noise" occur in MPEG2, MPEG4 and m2ts files and also in *.ts mpeg transport streams? What is the effect on picture quality by filtering it through the MPEG noie filter included in the settings? How about the "Pixel Noise Filter"? Answers after long searches maybe can be found in Internet forums (not in SONY forums by the way) Explaining uncommon technical terms however is one of the important functions of a manual, in partiucular when thosse terms are used in a device`s setup
2. Only an electronic manual in the TV itself is available. When my new device (after 30 minutes) stopped working, I would have liked to know how to find a solution for my problem. Perhaps SONY is not aware that "complete darkness" also includes darkness of the electronic manual. The good thing about "printed manuals" is that they run without electricity and the likelikhood of looking into such a manual increases in the event of system failure. I did not like having none
3. The device can be connected to the internet to be able to look silly video clips on preselected teeny internet sites like "Facebook". Thats it. There is no possibility to access the SONY by a computer connected to the same network. That means: The TV can play files from the computers, but the computer cannot play a signal received by the TV. Nor can a TV signal be displayed or recorded by an attached DVD or VHS recorder or any other device. The TV simply has no output. SONY justifies that flaw on its homepage with the intention of "preventing video piracy". That is an insult by SONY to its own customers, who seem to consist of criminals and thugs only. It is also beginning to annoy me. Where I live, all TV stations on the same day switched from "analog" to "DVB-T" digital terrestic TV signal. Instead of immediately discarding 10 not so old analog TV and video devices not having a DVB-T tuner I thought it to be a good idea to have one only in the first step and to stream the tuner signal, received by a "network capable TV device" to my home network computers which are attached to my older TV sets. Result: total failure. That the "networking capability" of my new SONY TV is a "one way capability" had escaped my attention. (I have DVB-T adapters on my computers now). Nevertheless I feel personally insulted by the claim to be a potential illegal content downloader and that SONY has to prevent that activity by disabling certain features in my own TV set. If so, they clearly must announce it. The "network" function of the BRAVIA is a bogus. THAT has upset me to the point that the BRAVIUSA definitely was my last SONY device I have purchased.

I have to say I do respect Ty Pendlebury's opinion However as an owner of one of these TV's I really cannot see nothing wrong with it, I love the colors and can't tell about the low on the black levels he talked about, and the price well I just paid 999.98 with free 2 day shipping so I really think it worth it!
Specifications
- Manufacturer: Sony
- Part number: KDL-46HX750
- Description: Vivid picture quality, a slim design and access to entertainment way beyond cable merge in the exquisite HX750 series HDTVs. Sony's exclusive X-Reality engine takes picture quality to the next level by bringing astonishing color and detail to life for a strikingly more realistic picture. Motionflow XR 480 greatly reduces blur for action so clear, you might think you're watching it live. Plus, harness the power of built-in Wi-Fi to access the best selection of online entertainment. Take a glimpse into reality with a picture so lifelike, you won't believe it's TV. Skin tones, landscape foliage and countless details come alive as Sony's exclusive X-Reality engine displays realistic images. The processor optimizes four key characteristics - texture, outline, contrast and color - so each scene looks wonderfully authentic. It's all about perfecting a natural look. Dynamic edge LED backlighting with frame dimming delivers pitch-black night scenes and illuminates bright scenes so they pop with vibrant color - all in a slimmer, more attractive design. Rather than illuminating the entire screen, lighting is boosted in just the right areas for greater contrast and a more realistic picture. Watch the dirt bike launch through the air with reduced blurring in sight, even as the camera pans to follow its movement across the track. Quick motion seen in action movies appears amazingly realistic as Motionflow XR 480 doubles the motion effect for lifelike clarity - so you see all the action from your games and movies more clearly.
