  Summary: This review is written on May 24, 2008. If you read this soon, go check this out. I just purchased this 26" LCD HDTV for under $400 including tax and shipping! I purchased the refurbished ViewSonic N2652w aka N2652w-S. ViewSonic refers to both model numbers in regard to the same item. The tv had not been reviewed very much and only cost $360 plus 60 cents shipping and sales tax (they have a store in my state). It has HDMI, composite, component, S-video, coax, VGA, optical SPDIF out, etc. The picture looks sharp and bright. It's better than I expected. I recently had a Sony Bravia (a low end, but new 32" Bravia) in the same space, and I must say that the picture on the ViewSonic appears as good as the Sony, at least to the casual eye. I tested neither of them for grey scale. The remote is also good with enough buttons, but not too many. It feels good in the hand. It does have a basic system for helping to organize the wires coming out of the back. Also, compared to some other screens (I've tried about half a dozen on my setup), this turns on rather quickly---Often LCDs can take a long time to turn on, particularly when using a digital input like HDMI or DVI, but this one is pretty quick. I haven't had this tv for long, so this is an initial review. My only complaint so far is that the indicator light on the front is bright and always on. It's red when the tv is off and green when it is on. I will cover this with electrical tape, but I wish it weren't there at all. The main point of this review is to give other buyers the confidence to take advantage of the inexpensive refurbished offering for sale on the ViewSonic online store outlet. It's an inexpensive tv that doesn't look or feel too cheap. I look forward to testing the VGA input to see how my computer looks on this screen. Also, this screen and bezel are less glossy than on the newer and more expensive N2635w, giving my screen less reflections compared to the more expensive and slightly sharper looking newer model. Less reflections mean an easier to see image.

  Great features, looks wonderful

  Summary: At $550 this is an excellent bargain, thin light at about 27 lbs and showing HD looks wonderful. Regular tv images look ok, but not as good as a tube TV. Overall no compaints after 1 month of use.
  1/2 the depth of last years 26 and 27 in models. Sound is also very good for two speakers and does have Dolby.
