The good: Affordable price; dual-display capability.
The bad: Sluggish speed; no bundled games.
The bottom line: Dual-display ability helps make the ATI's merely satisfactory performance much more palatable.
Great for old computers.
by BKA320 on February 2, 2011
Pros: More than you might expect in a card like this. Great for older computers that need a cheap solution.
Cons: None, really. It doesn't match up with today's standards, but for what you would get it for, it's really a nice card.
Summary: It's more than you would expect by today's standards, but I think today's integrated graphics could still beat it. It's a good card for older computers ...
Summary: It's more than you would expect by today's standards, but I think today's integrated graphics could still beat it. It's a good card for older computers that might not have good integrated graphics, though. That's what I got it for years ago, and as far as what could run in 256MB of RAM and a 600MHZ PIII, the graphics card kept up beautifully.
Don't expect to play WOW on this, though. LOL. Get something better if you're serious about gaming, LOL.
For hardware this old to be this good is amazing! :D
by rf2ooo on August 27, 2010
Pros: It's a very old chip from 10 years ago, and by todays standards, for the price you'd pay, you're getting a lot more then what you'd expect. :D
Cons: I'll tell you if I find any, haven't come across anything yet.

As the old saying goes, "They don't make 'em like they used to..." certainly applies here. :)
No problems and excellent for the price!
by mjp282 on January 25, 2009
Pros: Easy installation, Never had a problem with it in several years, S Video out was a nice feature. Highly recommended for anyone that will not be using it for new games.
Cons: The card is starting to become a bit slow for newer / high-end games. It can play UT2004 without any problems, but more intense games might be a little choppy. Other than that, it has been a perfect video card!
Problematic Card - Good Luck
Pros: Great television features.
Cons: Constant video bugs. Lock ups all the time. Ati is impossible to reach for telephone assistance.
Not too bad, if you're a cheapo like me
Pros: Ran every game I tried perfectly.
Cons: If you're a graphics *****, it probably has some downsides. I'm not, so WOOOHOO!
Video card OK, MMC problems with Audio
Pros: In MS Flight Sim it works well, up to 30 frames/sec on a IBM 300PL 6862 PII 350.
Cons: MMC software problems.... Tv audio is not captured, I may need to get a PCI sound card, onboard audio chip (crystal audio)is not detected in DVCR tab. Intervideo Win DVR3 (free trial) works well, captures audio no problem. So it seems like a glitch in the
Never Has Worked Correctly
Pros: This may be a good product but you would never prove it by me. Great features but they never work correctly or jam my system.
Cons: I have installed the device utilizing the CD that was supplied with the card but it never worked. There are so many new drivers available that it has become very confusing to be a to determine which to use. I have completely given up on the video capture
Basically a very good card
Pros: Best graphics I've ever seen on this computer (I still use W98SE...I HATE XP!!). I am absolutely happy with it!
Cons: Cons not known yet, as the card is still new to my system, but so far nothing bad to say about it.

Summary: I've installed this card successfully in my 2k and xp box, both top of the line. The problem is with the drivers. I've been installing vid cards long enough to know how to strip an OS of drivers. Nevertheless, it took me dozens of reboots and I even had to reinstall the OS on the XP. XP crashes, had to restart in safe mode a billion times.
Better than buying RAM for games

Summary: I was looking to improve the framerates and detail of BF1942 and Forgotten Battles on my 1.8MHz Gateway. I considered buying more RAM (to bring system up to 512) but picked up the 7500 instead for $60. Now gameplay is fluid with detail on full. Downloaded latest drivers to fix initial glitches. Dual display will let me game on bigscreen TV with
