Summary: There are so many graphics cards coming out I cannot recommend one over the other because I do not have time to research them all. However I do not know of a better card for the money than the Radeon 9800 Pro.

Summary: Easy physical install, didn't take more than 10 minutes. The software is easy enough to install but the drivers are out of date. This caused a blue screen for me. A quick call to ATI's tech support and I was back in business. Didn't even need to replace anything. The graphics are smooth though and it doesnt run as hot as people might think. my case temp only went up about 5-7 degrees F. This could be a problem for some people however so you may want an extra fan or two. Overall this card rocks!

Summary: Had this card for about 8 months until the 6600GT's blew it out of the water. Now they go for about $110-$140, but I'd easily recommend a 6600GT over a 9800Pro. Still, this gets a 9 for serving me well.

for those who need great performance without spending too much
by on February 1, 2005
Pros: The price is pretty much unbeatable, although ours came pre installed in our pc, I found I could play Nba Live 2003 fluently on even the highest settings, Lucasarts' Secret Weapons flight simulator works great, Starwars Jedi Knight Academy has no probelms
Cons: Wimpy specs compared to the X800xt, or 6800 ultra from Nvidia

Good card, just not for that money
by on January 2, 2005
Pros: this is no dought a powerful card, once you fine tune it it runs great on most games, the problem is the fine tunning.
Cons: the p[roblem is the fine tuning, when u try to run it with agp 3.0 drivers on a elitegroup board it crashes, even if u have the latest drivers for both. if you run it with regular pci drivers you cant enable fast wirte or 8X speed, that puts a real damper
