The good: Dual-analog monitor and TV output; high-quality DVD movie output to TV; DOS dual-display support; dual-monitor Web browsing software.
The bad: Mediocre high-resolution 3D performance; no control over the brightness of the video overlay.
The bottom line: The G450's time-tested dual-monitor output and 2D performance are outstanding, but if you have a digital LCD display, this product won't support it.

Summary: Got my 1st G450 card with the RT2000, Runs great on both WinME and 2K, and have never had a crash using either due to the card. Right now I am price shopping to buy a second G450 for another computer of mine. I use my card mainly for video editing and graphics And works great. If you are looking for a dual display card that is easy to install and has good tech support. This is it.

Summary: I used my dualhead version in Win2k for almost a year and it worked flawlessly (barring the crappy driver stuff not supporting DVD on the secondary monitor), but as soon as I reformatted that machine back down to Win98 it just began to eat itself. Constant freezes and crashes (BSOD and kernel overwrites) at the hands of the G450 driver and software. If you have Win2k or XP go for it, if not, don't even think it.

Summary: The quality of the output is awesome. I absolutely love 2048X1536 resolution on a nice big monitor. I probably wouldn't recommend it to hardcore gamers, but to youy proffessionals out there, it can't be beat. I will give everyone this little recommendation about the drivers, though. Install the latest version of DirectX (8.0a), if you're using a VIA chipset Motherboard, install the VIA 4-in-1 driver pack, and then install the LATEST Matrox drivers. The card will work flawlessly.

Summary: This card is the best card i've ever seen. Compare to the ATI Radeon VE (32MB DDR, dual display, VGA, DVI), this card rules even with SDRAM. For others who require the use of Digital LCD/TFT monitors, get a GeForce or something which have support for DVI/LCD. (Recommend: Guillemot GeForce3, it's worth it). But, for the price of this matrox card, it's the best. I have never seen any other card around this price range which can do Dual Display with this quality. It's definitely worth it if you are not a gamer and does not require DVI/LCD support.
