Traded up from my ToshibaPPC to this IPAQ and no regrets
by Anysia on October 22, 2006

Summary: With a faster processor, and clearer screen, switching from my Toshiba was a definite trade up. Because of the faster speed, I am able to use my Palm apps, with the help of StyleTap.
I have yet to use, but like the option of 'finger print security' with this unit. My personal opinion is that this particular IPAQ model is more for the professional/business man than the average user. There is what appears to be a SIMM chip slot under the battery, but there is a VOID IF REMOVED sticker over the slot.
My unit came with the MOBePay Outpost credit card scanner, which makes for great banking. All you need is the MOBePay software and normal internet banking.
There doesn't seem to be an upgrade to WM5 for this IPAQ (yet, I hope) which is why you can use Internet Explorer in landscape which would make for easier surfing. -
One of the best PDA's on the market
by yonifra on September 7, 2006
Pros: SD card support, performance, sound quality, screen.
Cons: Battery life.
Summary: My dad got this PDA as a present from his work and he gave it to me since he has no clue in high-tech gadgets.

I bought a 2GB SD card and ever since this PDA works as an audio and video player.
Great software available for this on the net, nice screen resolution and great performance.

I own one and I love it, it's perfect for business and personal use.
by mhajec on May 11, 2005
Pros: Biometric security, screen size, and Portability.
Cons: The price is high, but you pay for what you get.

To beat Cell phone performance and etc..
Pros: Use as a IP phone within Wi-Fi Hot spot / Bluetooth LAN. Good attached programs
Cons: Not easy to run user command due to different icon names compare with PC OS.

If you want it all, this PDA has it!
Pros: Bluetooth sync is very convenient, Wifi is great for checking a quick movie time while out to dinner, and add a storage card, and you can carry all the maps you'll need.
Cons: Display is hard to read in bright direct sunlight, but then what PDA isn't? This would be a great item for HP to work on.

Peanut farming works great!
Pros: Unlike James, Peanut Farming worked great for me! I bought mine later than he did so maybe he wasn't using version 5.0.3.
Cons: Instant death was a little slow, but still got me out of that speeding ticket so I can't complain too much (infact, not having to pay that ticket alone paid for the unit.)
-
Most expansive and expensive.
Pros: An upgradable Pocket PC, whichs allows me to upgrade as technology grows. SDIO, WI-FI, Bluetooth, MP3/WMA audio, bright screen, fast processor, loads of RAM, and great operating system.
Cons: Slightly heavy, does seem oddly buggy at times, battery does not last anywheres near 10 hours. I get at automatic brightness two and half hours max.
