The good: Supercompact; includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; removable battery; headphone jack is now standard size; cradle can charge second cell.
The bad: Expensive; lacks a keyboard; small battery; e-mail setup should be easier.
The bottom line: If you liked the slim form factor of the H1940 but were waiting for a unit with built-in Wi-Fi, this is it.

Nice Features - Terrible Reliability
Pros: I really like the HP brand and have always been loyal. My local rep saw I had recieved a Dell Axim as a gift and stated he would give me a new H4150. I have now had it for a few weeks, and I must say it is a huge disappointment. Battery life is terribl
Cons: Slim Chassis

Incredibly capable and light-weight
Pros: Sleek design, thin and light, powerful processor, crystal clear screen, built in wifi and bluetooth.
Cons: HP does not offer an Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition upgrade for this unit (which means no landscape mode and other additional SE features.) The IrDA device is HORRIBLE; it literally has a range of less than 6 inches.

Unreliable, but so useful
by cboulden on February 23, 2008
Pros: tons of 3rd party apps available, powerful processor, wi-fi, windows mobile SE better than earlier editions, external speaker and voice recorder, touch screen, cheap
Cons: Screen cracks easily, Windows Mobile is severely limited, limited storage (I think 64 mb with up to 4 gb external card), HP is abysmal

Summary: I've had two of these, one which I've had for about a year, the other which I had for 2 months before the screen cracked. Why did the screen crack? It was in the pocket of my cargo pants (which are baggy) and somehow that cracked the screen. I haven't had any major problems with the new one, other that a broken speaker, 3 malfunctioning buttons and a file explorer that never works. It's good that there is so much 3rd party stuff available, or my rating would be much worse. Honestly, all the apps people have made makes up for all the junk I have to deal with. So yea, it's worth it, but if you don't baby it it will break, and somethings will break even if you do.

Summary: So I bought this product used off of Ebay almost two years ago. I liked the simplicity of the design, the wireless and the integration with Outlook. At the time I picked up a wireless keyboard and a 512 SD card. It took a little while to get used to operating system but the learning curve was pretty fast and the product quickly merged with my life. I used Word to keep notes in class, Excel to tracking my workout, Outlook to keep myself organized, Avantgo to read the NY times and a still had a bit of room for music.
Last spring my old 4GB ipod mini died. I decided to pick up a 4 GB SD card for the ipaq and download a decent music player. All I can say is WOW, it's taken the ipaq to a whole new level. Honestly, if this thing had regular cellphone service it would be the only device I'd EVER own. -

Pros: Beautiful Screen, Wi-fi, BlueTooth, 400MHz Processor
Cons: Low Battery life when Wi-fi or Bluetooth is on, Poor Speaker

My favorite use for it is one I didn't even plan on when I bought it. Video.
I watch movies and Tivo recordings on it while at work since I don't have time to watch them at home.
Other uses of course are Outlook planner and email, Microsoft Word, & Excel. I read the entire Potter series so far on this thing with Microsoft Reader. I use a map program called mapopolis to find my way around the city. I have programs to help me study on it as well.
The battery life so far when Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are off I find to be about 12 hours straight. When bluetooth and wi-fi are on, it can be as low as 2 hours. So don't plan to surf the internet for too long.
Speaking of internet, when i do have to go on the internet, it uses Internet Explorer and therefore has access to almost every webpage.
The speaker it has is kinda poor, but I never use it anyways, I always wear headphones and then it sounds great
