Pros: Integrated keyboard, digital camera, digital video camera, expansion slots, color, good battery life, easy to use
Cons: getting music to play seems to be my biggest challenge

Summary: I gave up a Handspring Visor with a half dozen add-on accessories for my Clie, and only wished I had traded up sooner! As a freelance writer, one of my biggest challenges was how to capture my information once and use it multiple times. I started by using a well know Day Planner system and eventually migrated to an office desktop application. I finally found success with my first PDA, and as I got more familiar with it, I saw I needed more accesories to make my life easier. I had the Targus keyboard, Eye Modual, expande d8 Mb memory, and fax modem. At first it was kind of cool to have my office in my pocket, until I realized I was actually carrying the equivilant of a laptop in several pockets. Let me tell you, airport security was always a challenge. When I finally knuckled down and did my research, I settled in on my Sony Clie NX73V. With the exception of on-board WAN/LAN/Modem capability (which I didn't use), I figured I'd found my match. So far I've added 512Mb of memory and an IR Keyboard.
Now I've got my eye on the Sony Clie NZ90, and am wondering what it will take to get one in my pocket! If I get to test drive one soon, I'll let the world know.

Awesome PDA...get everything in one.
Pros: Beautiful screen, with sharp colorful images. Very fast machine. Have owned this machine for almost a year and have had no problems. 10x better than my 2 previous pdas
Cons: very little complaints.

For $229..can't be beat
Pros: Great build, great WiFi (no problems), excellent screen, many features like movie record...a terrific PDA and got it for a song.
Cons: Finding a good case has been tough. Stylus is only fair but I am getting use to it.

Too many problems with WiFi
Pros: The large screen is great but only if you can use it. Liked clam shell design.
Cons: I had problems with POP3 connection and internet. Screen would freeze. Even when I was connected lots of pages wouldn't display. Too heavy. Best thing I did was to return it and get an HP iPAQ 4150.

Needs a dedicated owner
Pros: Bought this at compusa this Christmas for myself at a pretty good deal, $300 after rebate. Used to rebate difference to get a 128mb memory stick and I was up and running. Palm OS 5 is pretty good, fairly fast and intuitive to work with. The Decuma inpu
Cons: Limited functionality with CF slot unless you get hacked drivers and software. Retractable stylus takes some adjusting to. no built in wifi/bluetooth. slot sticks out with CF card. Retail price is too expensive, shop around.

Torn between Palm T3 and Sony Clie?
Pros: I waffled over this purchase for weeks now, the T3 or the NX73V. Deciding factor: features. It is extremely easy to sync a Clie with Mac products; all you need is iSync and Palm Desktop, both free. "Missing Sync" software is crap. The Decuma input exce
Cons: SoundStage software will not let you transfer cd music to Memory Stick media. Plus it isn't near as easy to use as it looks. Use a MP3 burning software (Roxio) instead. Yes, it's pricey. But there's a rebate available. And it's money well spent if you wan
Specifications
- Manufacturer: Sony
- Part number: PEG-NX73V
- Description: The PEG-NX73V redefines the popular NX-Series CLIE handhelds with a new design, improved hardware features, and upgraded application software. Palm OS 5 and ARM-compliant 200 MHz CPU provide enhanced overall performance and an exceptional multimedia experience. The built-in 310, 000 pixel digital camera supports VGA (640 x 480) resolution, and can be used to save JPEG images or MPEG4 motion video onto Memory Stick media (sold separately). Designed for the CLIE Wireless LAN Card (PEGA-WL110, sold separately), the CompactFlash slot also provides limited support for CompactFlash Memory Cards as optional data storage. When the CompactFlash (Type-II) Slot is not needed, it can retract into the back of the unit, maintaining the slim profile. With the optional Wireless LAN Card equipped, you can check email, browse the web, and synchronize data wirelessly with your PC via wireless Local Area Network (LAN access point sold separately, and Internet Service Provider required). Three methods of text entry are provided to give you maximum flexibility. In addition to the built-in QWERTY layout keyboard and standard Graffiti method of entering text, the PEG-NX73V also features Decuma Input Handwriting Recognition Software, which converts your natural handwriting into text. Use the text entry method that's easiest for you. The PEG-NX73V also includes a built-in MP3 player and stereo headphones. You can listen to music on the handheld while using other applications or with the screen turned off to conserve battery life. The built-in Voice Recorder lets you take notes even if only one hand is free, and the adjustable microphone sensitivity helps keep voice recordings clear. Plus, most of the CLIE software that comes with the PEG-NX73V is pre-installed into ROM memory, leaving the RAM memory free for you to add your own software applications!
