Summary: I wanted to like this card. I installed it in my new XP Pro media machine because I wanted to use its TV output as a DVD player. However, no matter what I nor my retailed did to make the TV output work, we couldn't get it to properly output to my calibrated Sony 32XBR100 TV -neither via the S nor composite video cables. The documentation is abysmal and circular. The support that we got from the manufacturer is worse than what you'd get at Fry's -that's _really_ bad- and even after looking through the FAQs and trying the latest drivers we couldn't get it to work properly. I returned it. Until they can get their documentation and support correctly, don't get this card for its TV output!

if you're looking for a dual head graphics card, then this is the one!

Really good 2D, TV ????

Pros: I'm Matrox users since..... long time, always a very good quality or display. But I bought a G550 DualHead DVI Didn't succeed output on a TV.

Summary: I am building a video editing system, and finally got this in combination with the RT2500, and it works like a charm. having 2 monitors (+ a TV with the RT2500) is kinda strange to get use to.... the the application is wonderful. I havent yet tried any games, or the internet options because I'm running a dedicated system. but as far as editing applications it's a dream. you really cant beat the price for the ammount of power that you get with it (at least for the 2D), and it also has the passthrough for the RT2000 and RT2500 (that's the 2 rows of metal pegs taht just seem to be hanging out there and arent mentioned in the book that comes with it). my only complaints are that I cant use all of it's options because I dont do internet with that computer, and that things like video streams and heavily laden graphics material will NOT play on the 2nd monitor. but the 2nd monitor has it's use (especially in large programs like premere where there are a lot of things like the iffects, and timeline that really clutter your main screen). but the quality on both screens are wonderful (wish I had some larger monitors). everythign has that wonderful matrox feel of quality and reliability. I dont know about the 3D performance (though I'll update that later when I get a chance) but the 2D more than makes up for what it supposedly is missing. and 2 monitors (with availability to have different monitor types, refreshes, and sizes) is great. (but if your looking to be going with 2 flat pannel screens then go with the DVI version of this card.)

Summary: definately a good card to be in front of the monitor for long hours without eyestrain. i play need for speed porsche 2000 and games like that and belive me though it is marginally slow in frame rates the overall superb visuals this card creates in nfs porsche 2000 is the best i have seen as compared to the other card i have, winfast gerforce2 mx sh pro. i am very much satisfied with this purchase of mine and you won't regret it too.
