The good: Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Tour In-Ear Headphones feature a unique and stylish design, and the cable seems more durable than that of most earbuds.
The bad: Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Tour In-Ear Headphones have extra long earpieces that may not be comfortable for all users, and they don't offer much in the way of sound isolation.
The bottom line: The Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Tour In-Ear Headphones offer much in the way of style and sound, but the extra-long earpieces my cause comfort and fit issues for some users.

B stands for Bull@#$%
by gps1027 on December 28, 2010
Pros: They look cool but are garbage.
Cons: Price - these headphones are garbage. Nothing special about them. I bought them and returned them the next day and got a set of BOSE. Don't waste your time or money on these!

Don't get blinded by the look.
by gokhanozcan on August 8, 2011
Pros: It has a durable cord with a stylish look and a small 2.5" jack which does work with the first iPhone. That's all about it.
Cons: First of all, it has a terrible sound. No bass, not enough treble, you can't even decide between. And the earbuds are extremely large and looks weird on the ear. And earbuds are not durable, right one is already broken itself here.
Summary: Does not worth the money. Totally waste.

Overpriced, Poor Quality
Pros: The snazzy, stylish Dre. Beats catch attention and the red really makes the headphones look cool. the various in-ear buds are nice since it give variety to users in their preference.
Cons: The headphones are not very durable, I highly recommend that if you really want to purchase this product that you seriously consider a warranty.

Summary: The quality of the product could be much higher considering the premium price they place on the brand. You are paying more for the name than quality and that really bothers me. Since the headphone jack is straight and not the L like sony's or bose, my right earphone no longer works due to wear and tear. also since I love my bass, the Dres did not perform on the level as its competitor: bose. I highly recommend that you compare the two before you make your purchase, since it is such a highly priced product.

Everything I was hoping for!
by Sam97035 on December 30, 2008
Pros: Amazing clarity, deep/punchy bass, great looks. Unique design. Street cred (JK)

Summary: I wanted these headphones as soon as I saw them.. I'm a fan of the Studio beats, and always wished they'd release an earbud of equal quality. These aren't as good as the $350 studio version, but come closer than I expected. The overall sound is amazing. Bass is big. It doesn't feel like a subwoofer in your ear, but they do go deep. I can't stop going through my library of old songs to re-hear them. It truly does make your music sound different like I've read people say. I listen to mostly hip-hop, these are geared perfectly for that sound. T.I.'s Top Back, Lil Wayne "A Milli" are both good demo songs for the ability of these. That type of bass is where these headphones go off.
I was really worried about the fit issues I've read from other reviews including the one here on Cnet. They fit fine for me, nothing to complain about WHATSOEVER... They are a bit long, but it's long on purpose. These are flashy, no doubt. The flat disc part with the b logo does sit futher out than other earbuds. I think that is intentional, people who buy these want them to be seen. That piece is extremely light, it feels hollow, so it doesn't feel like it's pulling out or anything. I've found them to be completely secure in my ears. It's a non-issue. I've played basketball, ran on a treadmill, not once have I felt the seal break, or have to re-adjust them.
On a side note I did experiment with the triple layer tips, those are garbage in my opinion. They don't work with my ears at all.
The cord is really cool, looks a bit different in person than in pictures. It's narrower than I pictured. It's flat of course, and has a solid feel. The cord has some weight too it, not too heavy, it simply feels like it's of quality. I haven't found the weight to be an issue at all, and it hasn't tangled up yet. I've tossed these in my gym bag, bunched them up in a ball, done various other things to see if the "tangle free" is true. Like I said, so far so good there.
Overall, these headphones are great. I was a little hesitant to spend $150 on this, but I'm happy I did. Let's just say, they are good enough for me to write this review, I have never done this.3 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.

Whooooaaaaaa. The best headphones I've used. Hands down
by FalatouN on June 8, 2009
Pros: Bass is PERFECT, sound is crisp. If you really have an ear for music these are definitely the best headphones I've ever used. Out plays Bose easily. All around fantastic it's hard understand without trying for yourself.
Cons: Buds are pretty big, but the smallest ones fit me so nothing really.
Summary: The cord doesn't get tangled, the bass is amazing. Bottom line: If you truly appreciate music and will honestly be able to enjoy these, they're worth every penny.

Summary: Originally, I wanted to buy a pair of Shure's and I'm glad I went to Best Buy and bought these instead. These headphones have better sound quality than Bose Triport, V-Moda Vibe, and most Koss earbuds. These cords do not fray whatsoever anywhere and they do not fall out of your ear; the only cons is that the earbud goes so deep that the bass will give you a minor headache after a few hours. They are also expensive.

Excellent sound quality

Pros: Deep bass, crisp clear details, wide variety of earbuds, cancels outside noise so you hear all the music, cord very easy to untangle. Very easy to wind/unwind making them the perfect accessory for traavel.
Cons: Just the price

Summary: Tried a wide variety of earbuds from Bose, Skullcandy, Sony, Sennheiser, and I think these are the best among them. Mainly because I listen to a lot of fast paced electro. I've noticed that I hear alot of details, or sounds from the background in each song that I did not hear before from the other earphones. The bass is good in my opinion, unless you're looking for that chest-pounding, skull crushing bass, then maybe these aren't what you're looking for. It's more of a deep, clear type bass that blends in with the music, so that it sounds almost like you're in a concert. If chest-pounding bass is what you're looking for, then don't get these. If you want something extremely well balanced for modern day music, the I would highly recommend these.

Summary: Per earlier reviews, registration does not request receipt, but when you request service, it is required to prove you bought from an authorized retailer. So, if you do buy, MAKE SURE YOU CHECK TO SEE IF RETAILER IS AUTHORIZED BY MONSTER.
Second, mic is so sensitive, it is useless with any background noise.
Third, when i spend this much on headphones and they break, i expect lighting fast repair. It was over 6 weeks.
Lastly, I should have known better. I worked for a major Big Box electronics retailer for 5 years and had experience with Monster that was less than stellar (price and quality). BUT, i decided to give them another chance, and I WAS WRONG.
FYI - I am a heavy user. Over 1000 mins on phone per month and over 50 hours per month listening to music.
I replaced these in less than 6 months. -
Terribly crafted product!

Summary: My friend got it as a gift, she used it for a week, noticed that the connection is bad, sound gets lost in one ear on and off, she thought it's a defected pair so she returned it and got a new exact same one, still loses sound becuz of poor connection, no sound in one ear on and off, so she returned again and got a new box again, gave it to me as my gift, and still loses sound in the right ear after using it for a week. But now it's too late to return becuz 1-year warrenty is over. Now i'm stuck with this crap. Good thing that neither of us paid for it. DO NOT BUY.

- Description: The Beats Tour flat cable design is so revolutionary it's patent-pending. The Duraflex cable jacket is tough yet remains flexible while the flat profile virtually eliminates annoying tangles and snarls. With Beats Tour, you'll spend less time untying knots, and more time enjoying your music. Now, Monster is proud to unveil Beats Tour featuring Monster's driver design. Because the ultra-fast response time, the Beats Tour driver can accurately reproduce the full sound and details of today's digital music with precise clarity, natural vocals, and big bass punch. Most in-ear headphones simply cut off the low end of your music because they simply can't reproduce low audio frequencies. It took well over three years to develop and fine-tune the technology that makes Beats Tour bass so big, you'll think Monster puts a subwoofer in your head. Dr. Dre would have it no other way. Beats Tour in-ear noise isolation cuts external noise for a better music experience than traditional earbuds. Beats Tour includes five pairs of earbud tips: three pairs of cone tips and two pairs of triple-layered tips for the most comfortable, secure fit that isolates you from unwanted external noise. With Beats Tour, you'll hear everything no matter how loud the rest of the world is. Most earphones don't have the power to play music at the volume some music lovers like Monster prefer. The large high-efficiency drivers and magnetic technology have been custom engineered to play loud without distortion so you can hear every note. Beats Tour delivers power and clarity that reveals the emotion in your music. The sound check feature on your iPod balances playback levels so all your music tracks play at a consistent volume. But if the volume difference between tracks is large enough, ordinary earbuds may not play tracks with sound check loud enough. Beats Tour drivers were engineered so you have all the power you need to rock out even with sound check on. At Monster, they know cable. The Beats Tour cable features Monster's patented magnetic flux tube and Micro-strand construction to provide clear no-loss audio and reduced interference.
