The good: The Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones offer a stylish and comfortable design as well as an exceptionally crisp and balanced audio response with a tight low-end and warm mids. Included are a nice carrying case and a music-phone-compatible cable.
The bad: The Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones cannot be used without batteries, they're expensive, and the glossy black design is very smudge-prone.
The bottom line: The Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones deliver the trifecta of sleek, comfortable design, useful features, and top-notch sound quality. If you can afford them, they're a worthy investment toward an improved listening experience.

Cons: the black pair show fingerprints and smudges quite easily. Also the band is tight on the head, making the ear-cups squeeze very tightly. Could cause discomfort for some users, though I have only just recently purchased these, so they may loosen with time.

Summary: Overall I would definitely recommend these headphones. I am not an audiophile but the sound, design, and quality were worth the price. These are great for hip-hop or rap genres since that is all I used them for. For me the pros outweighed the cons, but also prevented the studios from receiving a higher rating. There is a reason many current hip-hop/rap artists are using the headphones, for their excellent low range and bass that doesn't overpower and muffle mids and highs.

Pros: Sound is good (not great) and the headphones make my friends grab them and say "No Way, you have these???" Wow factor is there. The kit is nice, they pack up well and come with all required accessories.
Cons: At this price they should be rechargeable. Build quality is a little suspect, but I do appreciate how light they are. The cord is a little short to use with a desktop computer.
Summary: I'd but them again, and I'm glad I don't have the Solos. These are true OVER EAR headphones which is much more comfortable.

They are about 1000% more sexy than the comparable BOSE phones, which make you feel like an old dude even no matter what you are listening to.
Last point: I guess I never thought how ridiculous it looks that my iPod Nano is the size of a postage stamp yet my headphones are the size of winter ear muffs. Sigh.

Summary: First off, the packaging of these headphones is amazing. The producers at monster really designed a package that catches your eye. When opening the package, I was extremely impressed with the care, and work that went in to ensuring a flawless produce. It comes with a hard zipper carrying case, for travel, and various cables. I was blown away when opening the box.
Sound Quality- One word; Amazing. On the box it says that Dr. Dre wants you to hear what they hear in the studio and believe me, you do. These headphones provide the best sound quality by far. Bass is good, and all genres of music sound good.
Weight- These headphones, to my surprise, are not very heavy. I feel that when wearing them for extended periods of time that they do not feel heavy, and they do not hurt my ears.
After all the good, i sadly must go on to the bad. With most DJ headphones, sound leakage can be a problem, but with these headphones, you can hear everything. So, if you need to use headphones in a place where complete silence is required, then these headphones are not for you.
Overall, these headphones blew me away. From the packaging, to the sturdiness of the design, to the style, I believe that these headphones are some of the best out there. I look forward to see what headphones that Dr. Dre and Monster can produce next. These will be hard to top. -
