The good: The Creative EP-630 earphones are compact, comfortable, and relatively stylish, coming in a choice of five shimmery colors. They offer a reasonable amount of passive noise isolation and solid sound quality for the money.
The bad: The Creative EP-630 earphones are slightly lacking in bass for some songs, and they feel cheaply constructed, which raises concern for durability.
The bottom line: The Creative EP-630 earphones offer a comfortable and stylish design, solid audio quality, and handy sound isolation. They're a good value overall.

Cheap Yet Excellent Earbud For Most Music
by ACERWP7 on May 11, 2013
Pros: -Slightly Enhanced Bass, Big Mids and Crisp Treble
Cons: -Rubber Wires cause tangling noise and may wear out 1.5 years later (from experience with other earphone)

Summary: I am by no means an audiophile, but i am very picky about music and listen to many types of music. I can discern between 128 and 320 kbps music, locate and compare sound very well, but can't discern any difference between 320 and uncompressed wav files.
I bought these as i wanted a cheap earbud to use around so if it breaks i won't be bothered by it
I will Comparing this ear bud which can be had for $45 in Singapore (with offer's you can get it at as low as $19-25, Check creative store) With my More Expensive Senheiser CX-215 ($69) and Audio Technica CKS-99 (about $179+)
I tested the following songs with my Dolby Home Theater Enhanced Laptop with the following songs:
-A Thousand Years (Christina Perri, 320kbps)
-Avril Lavigne Here's to never going up (youtube, 1080p)
-Kitaro Live in America, Matsuri (Uncompressed rip, WAV @1511 kbps)
-Kitaro Live in America, Reimei (Uncompressed rip, WAV @1511 kbps)
So how did it go in music?
Well, very Shocking.
All the 3 earphones have been 'burn-in'. In other words, i have those earphones playing various music (pop, new age, etc) for more than 48 hours already. In fact, the CX215 and CKS99 have been with my familiy for so long that they have played more than 100 hours of music at least. The EP630 is new to me, so i played my favorite music for 16 hours through them at mid to high levels. After that, i use the EP630 for 2 more weeks normally before writing this review
BASS
These EP630 ear buds produce very good bass compared to the cx215, and extremely close to the CKS99's. In Matsuri (Kitaro), it sounds lively and realistic. Not Muddied at all, compared to the CX215. The Audio Technica's which are bass enhanced has a very slight lead in bass.
MIDS
These Earbuds have very good mids that don't overpower or muddy up the music. The CX215 does not have the same open mids as the EP630. And i must say the EP630 sounds so good in mids that it seems to beat the CKS99 by a fair margin. The EP630 has a slightly warm feeling in all songs so it sounds very good compared to the other two earphones
TREBLE
THese Earbuds have crisp treble. They have clear treble that don't sound too crisp and piercing. The CX215 loses in terms of treble as it is not as clear. The CKS99 sounds like the EP630 for treble (maybe very slightly less).
CONSTRUCTION
This is the only thing i don't like about this earbuds. The rubber cord is a bit thin (compared to the CKS99) and are not as sturdy as the CKS99. and the rubber cord causes tangling noise that can be sometimes irritating. However, i can't really complain about this since i only paid $19 for this(it was on offer when i picked these up). In fact, it puts the sennheiser's to shame because their construction is just as bad as this one is!
JACK
This EP630 has a straight jack unlike the other two more expensive CX215 and CKS99. This means a lot more cable stress sometimes for the cord, especially is you plug these into your smartphone and put it in your pants, you might be straining the cord jack. So take care when using these. So far i have never spoilt it, but good to keep in mind for longer lasting of these earphones
Conclusion: For the $19 i paid this is a steal. It beats the CX215 hands down and comes so very close to beating the CKS99 (which cost $189). It has almost the same Construction Quality as the CX215 which are 2 to 3 times more expensive than this (i paid $70)
I will try save up and see if i can try the more expensive Aurvana series soon. I wonder how much more better music i can get with Creative's more expensive earphones now.
