The good: Retro-styled, over-the-ear model; sounds swell with portables; big bass; lively sonics.
The bad: Not the slickest-looking or most comfortable 'phones you can buy.
The bottom line: Grado's cheapest headphones belt out big sound with pint-size portable audio devices.

The best deal in whole of audiophilodom !
by cerebral_mamba on January 31, 2006
Pros: Great sound, fabulous with Rock
Cons: Earcups could get twisted since it freely rotates on the metal pole

Its a great headphone and should be your entry point into high end headphone listening. I persuaded my roommate to get one and he now says its the best purchase he has ever made on anything... and needless to say, he is Rock and Metal fan.. something noone does better than the Grado. -
The Best headphone for under $75!!!

Pros: The finest sound you can buy for under $75!!!
Cons: Looks"ugly", cord too long for my i-Pod nano.

Summary: The finest sound you can buy for under $75!!! Makes all the Sony and Sennheiser I bought look very bad. I think I paid more for the two than the SR60. I almost, almost bought the Bose headphone, but was told to look into the SR60 after I heard the SR60 I bought it. The looks are ugly and the cord is too long for my i-pod but I bought this for the sound and the price, not the looks. Made to very high quality too.

Simply the BEST headphones under $100
by Whatsup on August 19, 2005
Pros: Incredible sound. Comfortable. Great Price
Cons: Not as portable as smaller headphones

Summary: These headphones are the best you can get under $100, probably even under $200. These will bring new life to your music collection. You will hear every detail in your music. They do need time to break-in, so don't judge them directly out of the box. I use them with an Ipod and they are fantastic. One thing to note: if your MP3's aren't of good quality you will hear it with these headphones. I recommend using nothing less then 192 bit rate with these. You will hear the flaws in the compression if you are using 128.

Summary: These are great phones for a good price. They blow away anything in this price range. They offer incredible detail, you'll hear things you'd miss with other phones. I use them with my pc when I play something from my media player or listen to xm radio online. With a set of grado's xm almost sounds like cd quality. The only real downside are the ear pads. They are made of foam of some type and get uncomfortable after a couple of hours.

Best value in headphones
Pros: Great sound from any source, and the best value in the current market. Easiest to drive in the grado line.
Cons: Can be uncomfortable. Very open. The rest of the grado line is better, and the SR80's are a better value if you want to use it with a dedicated headphone amp, or with good home equipment.

Forgetaboutit! Made in Brooklyn and none better.
Pros: Phenomenal sound. For the price you can't go wrong, for any price these would be great cans.
Cons: I'm thinking, I'm thinking...

Love 'em
Pros: Excellent sound and comfortable. Best value for the buck. I've owned three pair over time.
Cons: Kind of archaic looking if compared to more fashionable headphones. Grado's policy doesn't allow for it's distributers to sell to most countries outside the U.S.
