JLab Hi-Fi JBuds (White) price range: $5.44 - $5.99
- Reviewed by: Jasmine France

The good: The JLab JBuds are comfortable and cheap and provide decent sound quality for the price.
The bad: The term noise canceling in the JBuds' name is misleading--the phones don't really keep out ambient noise; bass response could be tighter.
The bottom line: If you're looking for an ultra-low-cost replacement for the earbuds that came standard with your MP3 player, the JLab JBuds are a good alternative.

The JBuds are a great value at $19.95. They sound fantastic!

Summary: I would highly recommend the JBuds. I have had them for a few months and listen to them every day. They sound great. I have compared them against the Shure EC3's and the JBuds sound just as good for a fraction of the price. Try 'em, you'll love 'em! I got mine at www.jlabaudio.com. JLab also makes some other cool products, the MiniBLaster Portable Speaker for iPod nano and the B-Flex Laptop USB Speaker. Both are extremely compact and worth checking out as well! I used a coupon, blog20, to save 20% and I bought all 3 of their products. This is a cool new company.

Great customer service. Decent product for the price.
by kewinkie on June 1, 2010
Pros: Product works well for the price. Jbuds was happy to replace them within the warranty period.
Cons: It would be nice to have a basic sound control on the wire. Wires are a bit long. Had to have it replaced due to left ear bud lossing sound.
Summary: Basic ear buds work well for the price. 6 months of good use. I may have had a defective pair. We will see how these ones go. The customer service ...

Underwhelming, overpriced
by caponsacchi on March 10, 2010
Pros: Lightweight, decent sealing, relatively full-frequencied
Cons: No better than numerous earbuds/phones available for single-digit prices.

Summary: Curiosity got the better of me, and I ordered these JLab phones from Amazon, where they're currently the best-sellers (4 other JLab earphones are also in the list of 10 best-sellers on the site). They're likely to satisfy most young users in terms of fit and booming bass, but this is clearly a case where brand name and popularity have produced a self-feeding run on the product. Any number of entry-level phones--from JVC, Sony, Panasonic, even Colby--sound at least as good and some infinitely better in terms of a warm sound and clearly defined pitches while preserving overtones and harmonics. Now that I've moved up to phones like the Sony MDR-EX300 and 700 phones, I would use these only for rough and tumble wear, so that, if broken, I won't be broken up as well.

sound is just ok, kind of flat
by stevenalexr on August 30, 2008
Pros: Probably best quality for the price. Good fit.
Cons: Sound quality is a on the flat side. No pop
Summary: Can't beat the price, but it might be worth spending more for better sound.

Summary: Overall, these are pretty good headphones. For the price, these are amazing headphones. These are probably the best headphones $19.95 can buy. The volume is great they are really comfortable and the sound quality is good. Also, the cord is the traditional Y which I really like. The cord is about a foot too long though, but I make due. Also, the bass isn't the best but for the price, it doesn't matter.

Summary: The jbuds are the best bang for your buck out there. They are super comfortable and provide really high quality sound. I have had the same pair for a couple years and they feel and sound fantastic. I often fall asleep with them in my ears because they are so comfortable, I forget to take them out. I have used a bunch of other brands that hurt my ears after only listening to a few songs. I highly recommend the Jlab Jbuds. I bought them because they were the top selling headphone on amazon and I wasn't disapointed.

Summary: I have used these for many months now after trying Sony, and a few other brands. I don't see how you can get a better ear bud headphone for the price. They have very good bass and clarity and depth. I have had a difficult time keeping them in while jogging but that is only after the wire starts yanking on them while running. I highly recommend these.

Summary: WATCH OUT!! I purchased the headphones after reading some good reviews on the product from what I assumed were actual users I purchased the headphones for $27 dollars including shipping. After using the headphones for approximately 10 minutes at my local gym the earphone rubber became so slippery that they would only stay in my ears for 20-30 seconds before slipping out. Also the sound quality is not that great, I would campate them to that of the free headphones that came with me IBM laptop.
Overall very dissatisfied with my purchase. BUYER BE WARE!!!
PS The right side wire for the headphones came loose after only 3 weeks of use by my wife. luckily the headphones actually stayrd in her ears while she was using them, probably because she does not work out
