Superb deal if you can buy it from online dealer

Pros: Excellent, non-peaky treble. Bass very clear and not "boomy." Efficient enough that it can be driven to pretty high volume when directly connected to iPod headphone jack.
Cons: Wished JVC offered a version with iPod-compatible in-line controller.

Summary: I just got this in-ear monitor (IEM) through Amazon at a very reasonable price. At that reasonable price, I consider them a major steal: the sound quality is flat-out excellent, with very clear treble, and clean, non-boomy bass. You'd need to spend way over US$100 to get an IEM that could match the sound the HA-FXC80 offers.
The only pity is that JVC doesn't offer a version of the HA-FXC80 with iPod-compatible in-line controller, because that would make this IEM a serious competitor to the Klipsch Image S4i and Etymotic mc3 headsets.

Good Bass.

Pros: -Good Bass
-Good sound blocking
Cons: -Really hurt to wear the first couple weeks
-Have to be postioned just right to hear bass good
-Not a low enough range for drops or deep lines
Summary: I got these as backups for my bose ie2's but they just don't compare, for almost the same price i would definitely go with bose

Pros: Sound quality is exceptional.
Cons: None. Some reviews talk about breakage but I don't use these to jog. Also have not had them for that long. Can't comment.

As a result, sound is delivered directly to the ear without diffused reflections for clarity and improved isolation from outside noise. Performance is further enhanced through the use of a carbon housing and carbon diaphragm. The gold-plated iPhone-compatible slim plug and 3.94 ft pure copper cord minimize loss in sound quality. The headphone's unique Tri-form design, with its triangular black housing, allows the option of wearing the headphone with the cord below the ear or turning the housing so that the cord can be easily wrapped over the top and behind the ear. Detachable soft ear loops are included to secure over-the-ear placement of the cord.
