The good: Well priced; very comfortable; excellent high-frequency detail; taut, powerful bass; folds for compact storage; lifetime warranty.
The bad: Sound is a little bright at times.
The bottom line: This affordable model offers the detail and transparency of expensive high-end speakers.
Koss packs a lot of value into its Pro3AA Titanium (listed at $69). The Titanium part of the name refers to the headphones' titanium-coated, high-polymer diaphragms, which are said to produce accurate sound. Though the 3AA isn't a noise-cancellation model, its closed earcups provide maximum isolation, and their soft cushions coddle your ears. The 3AA's 8-foot cord is outfitted with a 1/8-inch stereo minijack; you screw on the included 1/4-inch adapter to listen to your home system. The headphones fold up for easy storage, and Koss backs the package with a lifetime warranty.
We started our auditions with Joel and Ethan Coen's Barton Fink DVD, which looks at the plight of a neurotic writer (yes, that's redundant). We heard all manner of subtleties--little gasps and hesitations in Fink's voice, mosquitoes buzzing around his dingy hotel room, his typewriter's keys hitting the paper, and birds chirping outside--and they all sounded extremely real. We also cranked up Saving Private Ryan to the max, and boy, did the artillery blasts make us jump. No, the 3AA's deep bass didn't have the visceral effect you'd get from a hulking subwoofer, but by headphone standards, the booming bass was pretty darn impressive.
We weren't quite as happy with the 3AA when we played music. Rosanne Cash's brilliant 10 Song Demo CD came out slightly hollow, and Keith Richards's Main Offender CD had a little too much detail and treble emphasis. It's a matter of personal taste, but we prefer the smoother sound of Sennheiser's HD497. Still, for the money, the 3AA is a solid choice, and we have no problem recommending it.

They are "JUNK"
Pros: Sounds ok.
Cons: I broke the "cheap plastic" arm that holds the speaker. It cost me $10 to ship it to the repair center to fix it. My son broke the very same replacement "plastic" arm... At that point I broke everything by throwing the "JUNK" against the wall!!!!! Stupid

Summary: I bought these headphones to have a great sounding pair of headphones to use while watching a movie at home without disturbing anyone. Before buying them I read the reviews to see if they were worth shelling out $69. The only other option would've been to buy the more expensive Bose TriPort headphones at $149. Once I started using the Pro3AA headphones I was impressed with the rich sound that these headphones were able to produce. However I took them off after watching a movie and while taking them off the left piece above the headphone speaker broke in two. I thought, great, now I have a 69 dollar pair of headphones that I can no longer use. Although Koss does offer free repair of any of their products if you register them on their website. All you pay for is the shipping. So I'm going to send them to get repaired, and hopefully have them back as good as new. In the long run I did purchase the more expensive Bose TriPort headphones.

Extremely Fragile
Pros: Great sound, comfortable.
Cons: Between the two pairs (one pair I sold to a friend) I've owned and the pair my roommate has. One ear cup is still attached in the original way. A slight bump the wrong way will crack the ear cup off.

Summary: I've had these for a few months, and the external right side slider cover broke after about a month. What has prompted me to write this review is now the other side is severely cracked, and the right side is beginning to break off where it attaches to the silver yoke holding the earpiece. While they sound really good, the hassle of now sending them off to get repaired isn't worth it.

Summary: This is the best pair of headphones 've ever owned... period as soon as i got them i turned on cochise by audioslave and these things are so clear i could actually hear the amplifiers being turned on! These headphones are great! I turned on some rap music after that because i'm into alot of types of music. I turned up the bass a woa! these things Will punch you with all the bass! The only complaints i have are they're a bit large..but i don't mind. These headphones have one delicate piece that has a very bad history of breaking. Its the small peice where the band connects to the ummm.....silver fork thingy....sorry don't know that to call it anywayz that small piece has a very bad history of breaking so be careful with them but if and when they break u just go online it takes two minutes to register and just send them to Koss and they'll fix em. These baby's come with a lifetime warranty...which is basiclly unheard of in any kind of electronics..... WEll yeah.... if you don't have 500 bucks to blow on some noise cancelling headphones with a tv built in(that'd be sweet) then get these!

Summary: Well, lets start this out by responding to some of the other "notable" reviews. As one said " unit broke easy when my son played with it". Well, you are not really into this stereophone thing are you? Let your kids play with anything and POOF it eventually breaks. Another i noticed was "after 8 hours of use, my ears hurt" Well, uhmm, 8 friggen hours?? do you have a life? I am not sure whether you are saying that your ears hurt from the pressure of the unit or the fact that music blared into your ears for 8 hours straight. Now, onto my honest as can be review..... I have always owned koss. They have always treated me very well. I branched off to the Bose QC set. I didnt like them. Before you judge my mentality, the Bose was definatly worth the money! The sound was incredible. The fine tune on the trble was great. The dislikes i had was after 10 minutes of wearing them, the pressure gave me a headache and the batteries were expensive when you have to replace them weekly. And, of ya, they dont work without the batteries in them. As for the noise cancelation thing, thats what a volume nob is for. I dont fly so thats out. Anyways, i found these Koss Pro3AA and i had to try them. I have had them for about a year and let me tell you, i love them!! Some issues with the highs being to defined on some songs, and the plug is starting to mess up where i have to spin it at times to get both sides to work. But i plan on sending them back for repair soon. All in all, price aside, these are great. I listen to these on the computer all the time with my iTunes and it is a step away from my normal hectic life. As for another review said "volume not high enough on PC" well bud, the Bose wasnt either. Thats why i bought a NewQ Platinum Equalizer. If the Bose is low volume on a pc, so isnt just about anything out there. So the bottom line is, i highly rec this unit as it is the best i have had so far.

Extremely fragile

Great Product For The Price
Pros: Precision @ $60, wow. These sound sound like a million bucks. That's what counts. I bought these on a whim, and am loving it every moment. These fit me perfectly with my medium head.
Cons: No volume adjust, a bit bulky, and the only thing that i don't like is the low signal to noise ratio. But these do not outway everything else. I give it an 8.
