Great headphones without wires
by Deranged Cat on November 29, 2005
Pros: Wireless. Looks cool, volume control right on the headphone, pretty good sounding,
Cons: Bulky, heavy, big, relatively uncomfortable, receiver is pretty big, EXPENSIVE

Summary: These headphones are great if you wear backpacks or messenger bags and listen to your mp3 player. i always hated the annoying cords getting caught in my messenger bag strap etc, so these wireless headphones are awesome. They sound good too.
Now on to the cons: These headphones are pretty huge. the...uh "speaker" things are pretty big. they cover your whole ear. Also, the way the headphones stay on your head aren't by resting on your ears, but by "squeezing" against your ears. This can be uncomfortable. Also, the headphones (for my head) are too big, so it feels a little loose because of the extra space behind my head. It's not adjustable, which is really annoying.
The receiver is a bit big, so it doesnt fit into my Mp3 player bag as well as it could.
Since its really big, its hard to put it away in a bag without fear of it breaking (so far its fine though)
Overall, the cons are just minor annoyances compared to wireless headphones. I really love these because i can just wear them around without having to worry about getting tangled up. I wouldn't recommend this to everyone, but i would recommend it to people who don't mind minor uncomfortableness and can spare the money.

so i was putting on my messenger bag, when the bag snagged part of the band and the band snapped! since the headphones hold onto your head by pressure, since the band broke, there was no pressure holding them up.
super glue didnt work very well. duct tape and super glue worked a bit better though. still, be very careful!
although, logitech has extremely good customer service. they sent me a new pair, without even me having to send back the old one! i just got it in the mail today, and i broke my head phones only 2 weeks ago.
just be very careful!

Be very careful!!!
by aussie-boy on February 13, 2006
Pros: Excellent sound quality, good range, good aesthetics
Cons: Headband breaks very easily! MP3 transmitter is huge
Summary: I love these - they're cool, fun, have good sound quality and make life easier.
BUT... I am on my 2nd pair because the headband broke within 2 weeks. ...Summary: I love these - they're cool, fun, have good sound quality and make life easier.
BUT... I am on my 2nd pair because the headband broke within 2 weeks. Because I have a large head (I cannot think of any other reason), each day I wore them, the band widened a little more until a crack developed and the wires disconnected.
If you are going to buy these, don't take them ANYWHERE!!! Treat them like royalty and buy them at a store where you can take them back easily (You'll be doing this a couple of times)6 out of 6 users found this user opinion helpful.

Great Sound but very uncomfortable

Summary: Just got these today and I'm impressed with the sound and wireless reception. No complaints about that, exactly what I was hoping for. But these things are uncomfortable! I might have to take them back. Why can't you adjust them? What idiot thought one size and tension would fit all heads? A standard adjustable over-the-head strap would have been a better choice. There is too much tension in the behind-th-head band. If I can't do something to loosen it up I'm going to have to return it. Damn shame, because otherwise they're everything I was hoping for.

Summary: Like everyone else, I love the wireless clear and astonishing sound quality. But, the headband is very uncomfortable and it bothered me a lot since I wear eye-glasses. Even though I was very careful and aware of the headband problem, the band cracked after 4 days only of minimum use. I haven't got the chance to use it at the GYM yet!!!
Anyways, it is really good product and hopefully Logitech will design a better "adjustable" headband. I am crossing my fingers

Don't buy--headband breaks and phones stop working

Summary: When I got these, I was thrilled--great quality, good range, etc. A month after owning them, though, the headband cracked, and the phones stopped working. I super-glued it back together (after finding out I had no warranty), and it cracked again. Re-glued it, and now they're ok for a couple hours at a stretch, but no more than that.

Great concept, Crappy plastic
by Gtkid2002 on March 11, 2007

Summary: These are great headphones. The sound quality is fairly decent, very similar with what you would get with standard wired headphones. Extremely great concept of wireless, but since Logitech used crappy plastic, they will break unless you never wear them. I will mention how to fix them later. They do have built in volume controls, and it works quite well. I've had mine for almost 6 months, and they still work great, but they do tweak out a little on occasion. Decent bass, and decent
treble.
The Dongle:
Fairly heavy, but lasts longer than the headphones themselves. It withstands my daily abuse of about 10 hours of music a day on full blast. The dongle is kinda bulky, but i'd rather have a bit of off sized stuff with my mp3 player than wired headphones. The transmitting power behind this thing is awesome. I can go to the other side of my house with the mp3 player on the complete opposite side and it will transmit through about 5 very soild walls (not concrete). These do tweak out in the presence of a microwave, not sure if anyone else has said that but I just did. I've only had the base freeze up once, but it has a built in reset button.
The Fix:
Okay, so your headphones are cracking. Great now you have to make a call to logitech and get a new pair or your money back. WRONG. Go to your local hardware store and pick up some gorilla glue. Stop by a pharmacy and pick up some acne pads (cheap ones are better). Take out one acne pad and let it dry. Now apply a very large amount of gorilla glue to the acne pad and wrap it around the crack. I dont recall how I held it in place, but you could always try scotch tape. When it dries, grab some electrical tape and wrap it around it so you can no longer see the acne pad. That is for a visual thing, as I dont like being asked why you have an acne pad on your headphones. Viola! You are done! Now go enjoy some WIRELESS music!
Another Fix:
If you have the headphones and they have not cracked yet, try this to prevent it for some time. Get a pot of water boiling nice and hot. Now take the end of the headband and put it in the water. Slowly and gently pull each headphone peice apart untill it would fit nice and comfy. Hold it where you like it for a minute or two, and then pull it out. I would say dip it into cold water, but that would probably make it crack. I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS METHOD MYSELF.
Final Thought:
These are great headphones, but if you get them, and they crack, call logitech. You might be able to get 2 working pairs out of it (the ones you have and another pair of newer ones). Mind you, these will break no matter how good you treat them, but if you do the acne pad fix, You will be able to listen to them for a lot longer than a week or two.
If you paid how much I did for them (50 bucks with shipping), then you got a great deal. If you paid over 100 bucks, go get your money back and buy a pair of FreePulse headphones from logitech. -
Don't buy! Wait for later re-designs...

Summary: When I got this product I was really stoked. Great sound, good volume range controlled from headset, and so long as I wasn't standing between metal piping or girders the range was better than the specs suggested.
Although I was worried about the strap. Its hard plastic with a rubber inner. I thought that over time it would wear and snap. I reinforced the medial point but in less than two months it snapped. As soon as it snapped the headset was useless. They cut out after seconds and are now just expensive paper weights.
I suppose Logitech will have better designs in the future. I was happy with the headset but the neck strap will probably wear quickly. -
good functionality. build quality could be better
by prash20 on November 13, 2006

Cons: delicate, heavy, keeps dropping connection to base unit

Summary: it is a really great idea to have a set of wireless headphones for mp3 players/computers. works wonders for people who like to have all their music on their PCs/Laptops (no pesky ipods with their user-unfriendly itunes s/w). my first set broke but logitec sent me another one for free. however, the headset developed a crack in the part that connects the two speakers together due to which the connection to the transmitter won't stay on. This has rendered the set un-usable and I guess I'll have to buy a new one
overall a good product but i just hope logitec manages to make it more rugged, introduce a "keep-alive" feature (to keep the headset connected to the transmitter even when there is no music playing (no data being transferred)) and reduce the weight a bit if possible -
They were nice while they lasted but there short life did not make the convenience worth while.
