Loud, clear, and BASS
by carlito627 on February 13, 2007
Pros: Good bass quality, and clear sound
Cons: ear plugs are hard to stay in ear
Summary: The Zune head phones work very well. The sound is very full, and has clarity. The ear plugs have to be forced in your ear, thats the only down fall.

Vast Improvement over the stock versions.
by VeeLove22 on April 24, 2009
Pros: Clear mids and highs especially when compared to originals, decent noise canceling. Bass sounds good, but only when pushed into ear.
Cons: Right earbud died on me. Some sound returned after I took the earbud apart, but the right is still much weaker then the audio on the lleft. Dont't work as well as the stock versions as antennas for the radio.

Summary: Good budget buy if you need something you can stick in your pocket or have stock buds no matter the manufacturer of your player. Blocks out enough noise to make them very useful on a bus or in a waiting room. Overall a happy meduim between my Grado's and the stock Zune earbuds.

Ok - they create sound ... But its not great
by mdpmarch on December 6, 2007
Pros: Small and compact - Carry Case - 3 size buds - fits in ear - blocks out noise
Cons: Sound quality - has a "tinny" noise - little bass

Summary: These are ok headphones for an airplane where you need to block out noise, but for normal situations, its not that great. I believe the reason is the physical size of the speaker. When you take the cover off the speaker (the rubber earbud)you will find that the speaker itself is only about 4 mm wide compared to about 15 or 20 mm on normal headphones. I think that it just can't produce enough bass, and the sound isn't clear. This may be my own ears, but when I place them in my ear, no matter what size rubber earbuds I put on it, if I tilt the earphones down a bit in my ear, like towards my ear drom, the sound sounds a little better, but not much. The earbuds that come with the zune are uncomfortable and hurt a bit, but the sound is much better in my opinion.

Summary: Before i bought my Zune i used Sony in ear headphones and swore by them and really still do, but the Zune premium's are very nice from the cord to the nice magnet clips and to the sound that they radiate out. I don't like the fact they hurt my ears from only wearing them for 5-10 minutes. Maybe becasue i have small ears, but unfortunetly thats were these bad boys are number 2 for me.

by n-telligence.com on November 17, 2007
Pros: magnetic back, comes with Zune 80, Look good, sound above average
Cons: not as good as more expensive opononents
Summary: These are definitly the best headphones i've ever gotten with a product, they still don't beat my trusty Creative Zen Aurvana in-ear headphones though.

Summary: I got my zune, then I bought Bose ie. I took back the bose, they are not good, and tried the zune premium. These are ok but nothing great. Much better than the stock ones and if you get a good seal in your ear the sound is not bad. I am currently using sennheiser cx300 and so far the cx300's are the best much crisper sound than any of the others but kinda bass heavy.

Not as good as I thought.
by kjh1kmk on January 26, 2007
Pros: Comfortable fit. Nice carrying case. Better treble.
Cons: The quality does not measure.

Summary: After forking over $40 for 'quality headphones' I expected then to sound much better than the original Zune ones. The highs were definitely more crisp, but the bass was missing. The bass on the original ones sounded better, unless I pushed the premiums all the way up the ear, where they could not possible stay in place. Stick with the originals and if you are serious about getting quality invest the $60 more for the Bose in-ears. Compared to the Bose, calling these headphones premium is clearly a stretch.

Don't buy these unless you've actually tried them
by x1800yolk on January 8, 2007
Pros: It comes in a case
Cons: Uncomfortable, unusual, and no noticable difference from factory earbuds

Summary: These earbuds were really uncomfortable to me, and if you plan on moving AT ALL with these on, the wire will come in contact with your clothes, or whatever, and you will hear that rubbing sound in the earbuds. The sound quality is exactly the same as the ones that came with the Zune, as far as I could tell. If you are planning on buying them, make sure that you try them out from someone, because you're really risking wasting your $40.
