The good: The Monster Turbine Pro In-Ear Speakers are exceptionally stylish and well-made, and they offer a massive amount of bass without sacrificing on high-end clarity. Passive sound isolation is excellent.
The bad: The Turbine Pro In-Ear Speakers are pricey, and they don't include an integrated mic or controls for the iPod.
The bottom line: The Monster Turbine Pro earphones offer a sleek and stylish design and plenty of deep, thumping bass. If you have money to burn, these are a nice choice.

Sound quality and balance are unreal! Blown Away!
by Dan_E12 on February 12, 2011
Pros: Sound quality is amazing! The balance in the lows, mid-lows, mids, mid-highs, and high are spot on! Great inner ear seal, and SO comfortable! Package comes with Super Tips as well, a great plus!
Cons: Cable is somewhat short and feels a little flimsy. Couldn't find a set with integrated ControlTalk. You pay for the Monster name if you pay retail.

Summary: These are hands down the best in-ear headphones I've ever heard. The out of box balance to these things is just mind boggling. They have done such a great job at making sure the sound is full bodies and round. I love heavy lows, and these things pack a punch! It's important to get a proper ear seal however, but once you do, they will shake your skull. Tight and powerful bass, not sloppy. Sound tested with several types of music and was impressed song after song. I didn't want to sacrifice heavy lows for sound quality, and was so surprised at these head phones because they delivered beyond anything I was expecting.
I am a sound technician at a local mega church and get the privelage to test products from a vast array of high end audio companies. Our band uses Shure SE530's...The Turbine Golds give them a serious run for their money! I've convinced a couple members to switch already! I have tried everything from Shure, Dre Beats Tour to Ditty Beats, Klipsch, and many others - The Monster Turbine Pro Gold Edition have made me a believer!
They are expensive if you pay retail - so be prepared if you don't have any connections at Monster or an electronics store. They are worth every dime I spent though!
4.5/5 stars solely on the difficulty in finding a pair with ControlTalk and on the seemingly sub-par construction. The buds themselves I'm told are indestructible...but the buds wont work if the chords fray or wear. Sound quality is 5/5 no question.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Don't waste your money
by Vin226 on March 5, 2011
Pros: They look very nice.
Cons: Wasting time for hours on hold trying to speak with warranty service.
Summary: Not worth the price, cheaper headphones (Klipsch S-4) are much better sound and build quality.

If you have the money, get them. If you don't, save up.
by ERIC B. RIDER on January 2, 2012
Pros: Bass is jaw dropping. Construction is top notch. The lifetime warranty is the best I've ever seen. Beyond manufacture defects, Monster will replace your Turbines (once) if you do something really stupid. But only once. So don't crash your Monster.
Cons: On a cold day, the metal housing is......cold. The plugs are tempermental. You have to get them just right before you feel like an audiophile. Cord could be more burly. Prepare your wallet for The Big Empty.

Summary: I'm the one who keeps on buying low-cost in-ear headphones, only to go back and get another pair when they break. Why not do it right the first time? Since 1992, I have had the same pair of Sony MDR-V6 high-cost over-the-ear headphones.
Come on, it's made by MONSTER. Need I say more? With the exception of a more robust cord, they are probably going to last as long as the MDR-V6 have.....20 years as of this writing! -

Summary: Comfort These Pairs of Earphones Comes with 16 buds for you to experiment with, to find which fits you best. Most probably you should be able to find one that fits you best. The Moment you've found the right ear buds which suits you, comfort comes along.
i think either the pair you tried have got some technical faults , or your ear have got some technical faults , these pairs of headphones sounded amazing , wait , are you an audiophile ?
Portability These Earphones are really portable, due to the fact that the cables are rather thick and it tends not to tangle, even if tangled, it could be easily untied .Easy storage in the travel pouches they provide. The Set-up time wont take you more than 15 seconds.
Performance Sound
Quality- They are a pair of really capable Ear buds, you will never expect sound of that calibre to be coming out of a headphone of this size , they will shock you i can say .They have Bass that goes down low , deep and tight . Mid-range which sounds so warm that the vocals seemed like the artists are singing for you at your room. Treble are really clear as a bell, it doesn't hurt the ears, it isn't piercing, just plain precise. Overall Sound Quality is just simply astounding; it makes every instrument and vocals realistic .Every Sonic Details would be heard with clarity and precision. Focus in every instrument in the song played , every instrument would be heard with ultimate clarity , this makes filtering the instrument out simple , for example if you want to hear the guitar , try to listen out for the guitar and you will get it with stunning results. Simply to put it, I doubt many other In-Ear Monitors would be able to reach this point of performance calibre. These headphones make listening to music a step more interesting and would might as well change your perspective of In-Ear Monitors. Satisfies Craving For Even The Strictest Of All Audiophiles
Isolation- They isolate ambient noise well with every ear-bud sizes , an exception would be Monster's very own "Super Tips" they are jelly filled ear-buds , they isolate ambient noise exceptionally well compared to the rest of those given.
Design The Design of these Earphones looks like (yes, you've guessed it) a Turbine. The Gold Hard Chrome Finish gives it a really attractive look and it seemed to be scratch-proof. The Material used are really good , It uses high density metal as the housing, which gives it a good and balanced weight ( A light weight earphone would feel cheap and un-durable ) It really seemed like it'll last for a rather long time. Overall design is just Beautiful ~
Overall
If the heavy price tag is the thing that is bothering you from purchasing these Earphones, I must tell you, every single cent chipped into these pair of Earphones are worth it. You are actually paying for an ultimate Earphone which have stunning performance, many accessories, well-known branding and a lifetime warranty!
