The good: The Radius Atomic Bass earphones feature a comfortable, compact, and stylish design. They're inexpensive and offer a ton of bass. Some songs sound great.
The bad: The Radius Atomic Bass earphones suffer from muffled, chaotic audio at times. The cable is thin, which means it's tangle-prone and may not be durable.
The bottom line: The Radius Atomic Bass earphones are a good choice for bass-addicts with an eye for style and a concern for budget.

Summary: If what you are looking for is a set of earphones with the ear bud style the Atomic Bass are fantastic. The level of bass produced by the small earbuds is more impressive than many much larger sets of headphones I have used.
The Atomic Bass are certainly one of the best sounding sets of earphones that I have tried and give my iPhone music some serious bass, which I like. I would like to see a set of these with a mic built-in for use with the iPhone for making and receiving calls.
I picked up mine from amazon:

If you like bass, these earbuds should be your choice.
by ddiercks on January 24, 2009
Pros: Great bass. Several sizes ear inserts included. Lifetime warranty with very good customer support. My first pair shorted out after 4 months; Radius sent me a new pair quickly.
Cons: My first pair of Atomic Bass earbuds shorted out after just a few months. I use them for running, so maybe CNet's comment about the thin cord being not very durable is right.

Summary: If you really like bass and reasonable mid and upper ranges, I don't think there is a better earbud for the money. The lifetime warranty is important because these like all earbuds will eventually fail, and it will probably be sooner rather than later. Radius was very nice about replacing them. They responded to my e-mails quickly and made returning them very easy (no need for original packaging). For the money, I don't think you can find a better earbud, and I've owned lots of pairs.

Excellent cheap headphones
by thatasianguy on June 20, 2008
Pros: Great sound and looks good
Cons: Didn't feel the "atomic bass". Not durable. Some sort of case would've been nice

Summary: I purchased mine on Amazon several weeks ago. Just yesterday the wired end that connects in to the left earbud broke, cutting a few of the wires in the process. I guess it was the way I was holding it to push it in my ear that did it. Luckily there's a lifetime warranty that (I hope!) covers that. If anyone has experience with warranties and such I'd like to hear from you. Beside that fact...
The Radius 'phones sound great for that price range. I like that they're made of the same metal used in iPods, which doesn't make them feel cheap whatsoever. I owned a pair of Creative EP-630s before these (which also broke down on me after a year and a half). Compared to those the EP's sounded a tad bit better and were more easy to manage. The Atomic Bass headphones tangled in my pocket very easily due to the different lengths of the cables. The included ear caps (med.) didn't fit my ears as well as I would've hoped. These 'phones also didn't have block sound as much as I hoped, which may have caused the sound to not sound as good.
Overall I like these headphones. If you're looking for cheap eadbuds, this is where to go. (If you're reaaaally cheap like me though, then I'd suggest the EP-630's.)1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Overall good sound, but not durable.
by millieann123 on October 10, 2010
Pros: Great bass, good sound quality, fits well
Cons: Vocals a bit muffled at times, cable always was tangled, and they weren't durable.
Summary: Overall good sound quality with great bass, but they fell apart after a couple months. The ear cups always were falling off and I had to replace them often.

Pros: Superb sound quality, extremely light and comfortable in ear, excellent noise cancellation.
*While listening to vladamir ashkenazy perform chopin on the piano i could hear him breathing as he played.. that's how good the sound quality is.Cons: Stick out a little too much for my taste
Summary: I like the product because they have TOP NOTCH sound quality (even better than my big headphones), are compact, the perfect length for ear-to-pants-pocket wiring, lightweight, different plug sizes..

Outstanding Sounds Quality!
by dodobrowns on July 27, 2009
Pros: I recommend these to anyone looking for a top quality in-ear headset. Radius sent 10 of my coworkers in Iraq a complimentary set to try out. We were extremely pleased with the sound quality.
Cons: Microphone headset doesn't work well with the IPOD touch/Skype. Not sure about compatability with Iphone but I was told that is what they were designed for.

Bass is less than average.
by MAFWIZ on July 16, 2009
Pros: Relatively comfortable, decent price, crisp highs and mid's...no "atomic bass". The bass is very thin. I compared them to some Ear Candy "Ink'd" ear buds; the Ear Candy buds (1/2 the price) had a TON more, boomier bass, Radius cleaner mids and highs.
Cons: See above; very thin bass.
Summary: I would not buy these again, I fail to see how Radius can market them as "Atomic Bass" when in my experience the bass production is the weakest aspect of ...

Great Bass and Affordable
by tabithahawk on February 3, 2009
Pros: The bass and I got my earphones with a mic for my iPhone. An awesome addition to the "plain" atomic bass.
Cons: To be honest, I can't think of any for the price, its a great earphone.
Summary: I purchased mine from the manufactures website http://www.radiusearphones.com/ , might get lucky and they might have a sale.

Great sound, cheap price, very sleek looking
by SATURNRINGS18S on December 29, 2008
Pros: Great bass sound, not too much bass, has some noise canceling ability. Stays put, doesn't fall out when I'm working out.
Cons: Wire is too long gets tangled in clothing and jewelery
Summary: Great headphones. Got them as a gift, fits in my ear perfectly. Very cheap for its capabilities.

- Description: If the tunes you spin go deeper than your earphones can handle, it's time for new earphones. The Atomic Bass earphones are tailor made to deliver the slamming bass of hip-hop and dance, but they are tonally balanced for any music style. Precision crafted from the same material as the iPod Nano, and sporting a gold plated stereo mini-plug, Atomic Bass goes to the final degree to make sure everything looks and sounds perfect. Bass sound waves are longer by nature, so it takes longer for bass energy to really get started. The unique shape of Atomic Bass features a lengthened sound chamber to let those waves develop properly. While the sound is generated in the stylish bud, the angled tube chamber which sits in your ear canal acts as a tuned port. Penetration is deeper, and so is the rumble. This means clear, deep bass you can feel. Don't miss the sensation. Finally, most earphones are rated at 16O of impedance. Atomic Bass earphones are rated at 32O, which makes them easier to drive. This added efficiency helps to produce enormous sound, and your iPod battery doesn't have to work so hard to do it. Your ears are unique and, for many people, the smallest available ear fitting is still too big for their ears. Factor in a variety of ear shapes, and getting the right fit becomes challenging. Atomic Bass earphones can be inserted from three possible angles, and the smallest of the three included fittings is among the smallest available. Three angles times three fitting sizes equals nine possible solutions to getting the most comfortable fit for your ears.
