Summary: I'm serious about my music, so, I want to hear it in the best possible quality I can. I purchased the Sennheiser HD 202's only knowing Sennheiser's reputation for making some of the best headphones known to man. I had been living for a while on my Sony CDR180's and Audigy for a while, the I was totally blown away with the Sennheisers. They have a more robust natural sound with good even performence across all bands. The bass hits hard and never distorts, and the treble is clear and sharp, depending on the source, and you can hear every detail (intended or not). The headphones are comfortable to wear, even after long periods thanks to the vinylette cups around the "phones", which are changeable if they should ever tear (must contact Sennheiser). They are also good in a DJ enviroment because the phones detatch completely from the band. Diffently worth the $19.99 I spent on them.

Dissapointment...Get higher model
by on December 27, 2004
Pros: Not too expensive, good bass levels, conformtable headset, closed design keeps outside noise out, big enough for my huge head, good look
Cons: TERRIBLE sound quality at high volume, cheap feel, high expectations killed. Bottom line, just spend $15 more and get the HD457's. CompUSA is a good place where they have both models

Summary: I listen to reggae a lot and good stereo headphones is a must have. Most headphones are designed and standardized around classical/jazz/opera sound quality and as such, all headphones are not created equal. I would not recommend this product if you listen to music other than reggae, R&B, rap and soft rock as the highs are mediocre (see specs for frequency response). Otherwise, the sound quality and design is superb and this is my second one. I previously owned a Genexxa headphones and this is the next best thing I have come across so far.
I had to give it a 10 for the quailty you get for the price. You just can't beat it.

This is an absolutely stunning set of headphones.
by captainmarveljt on April 13, 2012
Pros: 1) The bass is fantastic.
2) It's able to blend all kinds of sounds perfectly. Most headphones that I've tried have a solid bass but the sound collapses when listening to indie/folk music. Not this though.
Cons: 1) The pads can get snapped from the headband pretty easily if you sit on it, etc. There's no damage though. You just have to clip it back on.
2) The wire is a little too long and the cord take-up is bulky
Summary: The most value-for-money item you will find absolutely anywhere. Recommended for everyone.

Sennheiser Win! Can't go past these bad boys!
by Nick_812 on April 10, 2012
Pros: Solid Sound.
No Distortion.
Thick Bass.
Clear Treble.
Crisp sound.
Detachable Headphone from the band.
Cons: A little flimsy.
Really accentuates distortion in poor bitrate mp3 files.
Summary: I used to have a pair of HD 201's which I was very fond of. But then they broke and I bought these. A real step up.

I also have a pair of Bose Noise Cancelling QC 15's which cost a hell of a lot. They were much better but the price comparison made the Sennheisers the clear victor.
THESE ARE AWESOME!

A great pair of Sennheisers at an affordable price!
by lmcdnn on September 20, 2011
Pros: Good bass response & sound quality, decent noise insulation, handles higher volumes decently, huge cable, fantastic price for its quality.
Cons: Uncomfortable for larger ears during use. Cable connection can be flimsy, and can break easily if packaged in luggage or a carry bag.

Can't go wrong with the price!
by Rxst on September 5, 2011
Pros: Nice sound for the price. For $20 it's hard to find better headphone.
Cons: Bass can be tighter. Sound still leak although by design, this is a closed back headphone. Not really suitable for classical music.
