Very good buds for the price.
by MrFlipper1991 on March 14, 2010
Pros: Price - $15 off of ebay (NIB). Sound - good bass, mids and highs. Good fit, can listen for 1-2hrs with no pain. Seals off all sound.
Cons: My wife stays mad at me because I can't hear her when I'm wearing them. These things really seal of what's going on around you. Not made for jogging in traffic. Some cord noise.

Summary: First thing I noticed when I put them on was that I could hear my heartbeat before I turned the music on. I'm not kidding, you'll not be able to hear anything around you when you listen to these buds. Unfortunately, you can hear the cord rubbing against your clothes when you move around. Really good bass, but not to the detriment of mids and highs. I bought some Ultimate Ears Super FI 4vi's as well and I like the Senns much better. They have better bass, they are lighter and the seal off external noise much better.

Excellent sound
by grejoh on March 10, 2010
Pros: I've had these now for about 2yrs and used them on various mp3 players and mobile phones, I consider Cx 300 a reference when buying new headphones.
Cons: The only slight rub here is non equal cable devision to the ears, leads that have a priority to the left need to be clipped to clothing to allow reasonable slack otherwise the left speaker falls out, just a bit of a nuisance really.
Summary: I have tried several in ear headphones over the last couple of years and none to which have past the test of better improvement in sound quality with foot taping ...
Summary: I have tried several in ear headphones over the last couple of years and none to which have past the test of better improvement in sound quality with foot taping base down to 17hz achievable with the Cx 300, but do experiment with the mp3's on board graphics, stereo image and sound balance from mid to upper is well placed to allow strong bass flow, The Cx 300 is the cheapest headphone set that i own and just can't put them down.

Great Sound but Flimsy and Breakable
by ESHAINES on February 11, 2010
Pros: I bought these Senn's as a replacement for my iPod earbuds, the ones that come standard from Apple; sleek look, little case is cute.
Cons: See my summary.

Summary: Within 3 months of ownership, the rubber casing for my right Senn in-ear h.phone dislocated along with the wires within it. No rough play, just a gentle tug out of ear, and i had a broken pair of Senn earbuds. So not worth $30; get the over-ear ones for $200+. I'm currently experimenting with another brand, twenty bucks from philips, behind-the-head built-for-rough-play headphones instead. Oh God. I just wish Senn's would work as hard on their less expensive phones as they would on their higher end products. I won't make the same mistake again.

Great sound! with a bit of noise through the cord
by xsnydx on December 9, 2009
Pros: Great sound, inexpensive, lightweight, comfortable, great at blocking outside noise
Cons: some noise through the cord, not as secure in the ear as i would like

Crisp sound and comfortable.
by Jsail4fun2 on September 5, 2009
Pros: Comfortable. Noise isolating. Crisp detailed sound.
Cons: Quieter and less bass than the iPod buds. Although much cleaner and I think better. Bass is lacking.

Summary: This is an essential upgrade for all iPod owners. Now that I have compared the sennheiser cans against the iPod buds I want to throw the buds away. My music sounds like it is inside my head and I can hardly feel them in my ears. I am dissappointed in the bass all of the reviews rave about the bass response but I suppose you need bigger speakers to get good bass. I like my Sony over-ear monitors for bass. Still these headphones are supprisingly isolating so I feel like I am wearing over-ear phones but with more comfort and portability.

Pros: the eirpieces fit great, and comes with 3 different sizes just in case
Cons: distorting sound quality at lower and mid frequencies

Just as good as the Sony's I used to have.
by walkerrp on February 13, 2009
Pros: Equal in bass response as the Sony's.
Cons: Wish they came with a carrying case.

Summary: If you are buying in a retail shop and you have limited choice then sure the cx300 is a decent earphone. If you are buying of the internet then you would be a mug to buy a pair of Cx300. There is so much competion in this price range that simply blow the cx300 out of the water. Also if you buy from the auction or marketplaces then you run a very high risk of low quality fakes. If you like this design look at the Soundwise t4
