Pros: -Good sound quality for the money (punchy, clear midrange) -Very comfortable to wear -Simple, lightweight construction -Look pretty cool while listening or wearing around your neck -Stay on your head well
Cons: -Could do with more bass -Some might say they are overpriced (depends where purchased) -The Skullcandy brand image may be too "youthful" to some -These headphones don't fold up or come with a carrying case/bag

Summary: The Skullcandy Icons are my first pair from Skullcandy. My last four pairs were from Sennheiser. As much as I love Sennheiser sound quality, I can't get past the lackluster build quality of their products. On a whim, I picked these up from my campus bookstore because they looked nice, simple and were decently priced. I know most people these days prefer the in-ear style or regular ear buds, but in all honesty, those wear out/break more easily, and don't sound quite as good as "headband" or over-the-ear headphones. These Icons sound pretty good, especially with an iPod. The mids are clear and well defined (punchy sounding), the highs are adequate. However, the lack of that "booming" bass leaves something to be desired. Another problem I have with these is that they don't collapse or fold to make them easier to carry like so many other headband style headphones do. That being said, I think these will last me a long time if I treat them like I did with my Sennheisers. They're very comfortable to wear because of the foam padding over your ears and the very lightweight plastic band, which is "hollow". Overall, I'd recommend these to anyone looking for a decent, inexpensive "headband" style pair of headphones.

I forgot to specify in my review, the Sennheisers I previously owned were in-ear buds and earbud-style models. I'm aware that Sennheiser over-the-ear headphones and cans are top-notch all around.
