Summary: First Impressions:
When I planned to buy these headphones, I knew they were going to be massive; they even look massive in pictures, but I underestimated them. When they arrived, the first thing I did was stretch my arms out, holding them, and I still felt like they were right in front of my face. THESE ARE HUGE HEADPHONES. They also have great build quality, feeling really solid.

Audio Quality:
From the time I first tried them, the bass was very powerful, but not quite as "deep" as it is now, but that got much better over time through the burn-in process.
At first, the mid-tones were a bit bland, always sounding almost completely silenced when bass when very high, but after a couple of weeks, they improved greatly. Now they sound excellent and are easy to hear even with lots of bass.
Very high frequency sounds are much more audible than they were on my previous pair of headphones (Panasonic RP-HC150, which sounded very good, but all 3 pairs I had broke after about 3 months each). I have an extremely wide hearing range (~15-23500 Hz) and I listened to a test file, which I could hear all the way up and down to those points.
You may think that because most headphones only go from 20-20,000Hz, which is the same as the normal range of human hearing, that you would hear detail up to the same level, but if so, you would be wrong. There is much more detail which a lot of music (particularly electronic music) has in the very high range that is audible in these headphones more than headphones with narrower frequency response range, adding to the audio quality.
If you use an EQ setting on an iPod (or possibly on other devices), which I have tried, the audio WILL end up sounding worse, even more noticeably than on other headphones, even if you choose the Bass Boost option.

Conclusion:
Excellent sounding after a bit of use, solid, massive, extremely comfortable headphones. Definitely worth the money if you don't mind people look at you in awe all the time.
