  "For the price, these are the worst"

  Summary: Those were actually the first Sony product to astonish me in such a nice way, their sound is just great for the about $20 they cost, in both signature and detail. The sound has a nice serious feel to it, and all of frequencies are neatly represented, the bass is quite roomy giving it a fitting overall sense of depth, the mids are exact and sharp enough, I'd only say the high freqs could be bit more natural, but you cannot say they're dull. Overall nice all-round sound for the price. The sound has just 2 drawbacks that may or may not matter to you. First, it's not very effective volume-wise, so dependent on your ears' sensitivity you might have a hard time listening to them from an unamplified portable device. Second is more related to their build, they don't suppress the environmental noise enough, at least for my liking, just enough to prevent you from having a conversation but not enough to barrier you from the surroundings properly.
  
  Then we have the design & build quality which are usually brought up first in reviews, but well, let's not be too meticulous. The design is actually not bad, they looked quite dull in the box but as soon as I put them on my head i started to even like that quasi-vintage feel they have.
  
  Build-wise it's decent if price is taken into account, why so? Well they appeared sturdy until I had a hardcore accident involving them, to put it straight: I had them in a backpack and then I slipped on the ice putting my over 100 kilos right on the pack, and boom- one of the headband height regulators got completely disintegrated. Bet you it wouldn't destroy some quality built mid-end portables, but well, the price tag justifies that my XD100 couldn't take the strain. Of course you cannot buy a headband for them, I'd have to replace the whole product which I honestly cannot be arsed to do, so I removed the regulator completely and glued them with poxipol, leaving half the possible adjustment. We'll see how long they live, the glue is drying just as I'm writing.
  
  As for comfort which is least important to me as long as there is any (I get used to stuff easily), they fit me just great. Lightweight, with very good quality ear pads that neither stress the ears nor cause them to sweat. The arch could be better to accompany, but it's decent anyways- never hurt my head or produced any discomfort despite being just plastics.
  
  All in all, to my ears and wallet, those deserve a solid 9+/10, taking into account they average at 3.5 stars here, I'll give them a full rating rather than 4-star. Of course- I'd recommend them.

The voice quality is amazing , very comfortable and excellent build. The best thing is when you listen songs at maximum volumes , you still would wanna keep listening as it doesnt hurt the ear and is very comfortable in that way too :)

  Summary: I wear these headphones at work for hours at a time and they are very comfortable. Even though I have higher quality Skull Candy headphones, I wear these 80-90% of the time because I get no ear discomfort.
  
  Ear cups completely cover my ears so there is no pressing on them. I also wear baseball caps a lot and the split headpiece is perfect as it doesn't press the beanie down into my head!
  
  Sound quality is good, not great. There is a LOT of sound leakage for those around you, plus you get a lot of external sound seeping in.
  
  The cable is ridiculously long. If you need to sit 10' away from your output (to watch TV I gues???) then it's great. But for me, sitting a desk, I've got about 8' of it bundled in a twist-tie.
  
  Overall, very good headphones for the price. Great VALUE, good QUALITY. Figure out what's more important to you.

  Pros: I use them for tracking in my recording studio. Good isolation (sound from phones doesn't bleed into mics). VERY GOOD EVEN SMOOTH EXTENDED SOUND. GREAT for classical music but also for rock. Light. Quiet mechanics. Reliable. Strong. Good looks

  Cons: for the price? NO CONS. Price doesn't matter? Then we can say that these aren't the strongest built phones around, missing a bit of magical sheen that my 7509s and akg 240s have. missing a bit of very extended low bass. can't push really loud.

  Summary: far better than my older also-inexpensive sony tracking headphones which cost more and had really noisy headbands (needed duck tape to be quiet). Keep in mind tracking headphones need to be: cheap (they get destroyed by crazy musicians sometimes), reliable, have good isolation so the headphone sound doesn't bleed into mics and so outside sound is muted enough to the person wearing them. They need to have long cables, be light, be comfy, and to, lastly, sound quite good, although tracking phones aren't often the audiophile sound quality of mixing or hifi home headphones to be honest.
  
  As tracking headphones, these are simply the best you can get for less than $20. for double that you can do better, but I bought 5 pairs for $100 including taxes. that is instant band recording bliss :-). I did buy a pair of moreme phones for the drummer to track with since they isolate better and get louder, but imho these sonys SOUND BETTER and are a better choice for singers, bass players, guitarists, keyboardists, backing vocalists, etc.
  
  The sound quality is astounding. These are VERY flat reproducers, not lacking in bass or treble or scooped in the mids, not honky or harsh or dark or muted or muddy. I listen to solo classical violin and am right there. I listen to full orchestral music and it brings me back to the koss pro phones of my youth (very expensive headphones those). I listen to classic rock and jump into the music. I could (but haven't) even mix an album with these, they're THAT accurate and smooth!
  
  They're not as energetic sounding, for lack of a more technical term, as my more expensive sony headphones (like $250), and not as magical and "taking you into an etherial world" as I like to call the experience of listening through my akg 240 headphones (also very expensive). But they are far better than the older inexpensive sony mdr lines, better than the superstore chines made $30 to $40 headphones (which aren't half bad either by the way), and I would highly recommend them for serious home listening.
  
  They're NOT appropriate for mobile listening though. not super efficient, big and bulky, and really long cord - these were made with home or studio work in mind. It's quite obvious.
  
  I'm very surprised sony hasn't marketed these as entry level studio tracking cans. Hmmm, maybe they actually have done that but with a rebadged model number. i'll have to check.
  
  Anyway, highly recommended - equal to phones costing $50 to $60 in most ways.

  good deal for sub 20 but volume could have been louder

  -long cable(con if you are using it on the go as it is tooo long)
  -decent sound
  -it doesnt heat up ears like some brands
  -light

  Cons: -i s practilcaly feeble when on the streets(or where noise level are high)
  -big
  -no volume control on the headphone
