  Excellent earbuds on a budget

  Summary: These are fantastic earbuds for the price. I recently had a pair of Altec Lansing Backbeat Pros (close to $70 originally) lose the thin dampening material over the sound holes which caused them to get abrasively treble-heavy and was looking for a cheap throwaway pair as a suitable replacement. I bought the Qlasps purely on a whim (and due them being on sale), and I'm glad I did.
  
  The idea of clipping earbuds onto your ear lobes sounds extremely uncomfortable, but its actually quite the opposite. The clips are made of soft rubber and have a lot of give, no pinching sensation at all. After a very brief period of time wearing them, you don't even notice it. It almost feels natural.
  
  I was most surprised by the sound quality. For what I'd consider a budget set of buds, they have incredible sound clarity and low end response, even encroaching on the territory of slightly more expensive entry-level buds. For the price, the performance is incredible.
  
  The only negatives I've found so far I consider to be fairly minor. First off, they look and feel very cheap, with super thin wiring and plasticky rubber coating. They just feel like short-term use throwaways, which for all intents and purposes is what I bought them for anyway, so it works out OK for me. Also, the neon green (the only other color available at the store was magenta, which I maintain is worse) is way too bright and tacky for my taste, but seeing as I only really wear them while working or walking the dog, I can deal with it.
  
  All in all, this is a great set of buds if you want a cheap backup pair, don't hold on to earbuds for more than a few months, or a nice stocking stuffer for the upcoming holidays.
