The bad: The BlueAnt Q2 has very tiny physical controls, and there are quite a number of commands to remember.

BlueTooth doesn't work so well
by RipTric on August 8, 2011
Pros: Great sound
Great Mic
Voice Recognition Works really well
Nice piece of hardware

Summary: I was looking for a headset that would a few simple things; pair up with my laptop and pair with my mobile device at the same time (Multipoint support). I currently own an Android 2.3 phone and it does not have issues pairing with other BT devices. I tried pairing with my Android device and everything went swell. Once I attempted to pair with my laptop, the laptop worked fine but the blue tooth connection to my phone failed. I tried this multiple times and each time I got the same result. No matter which device was paired first, the other device would fail. What made this more frustrating is that in order to re-Pair my device, I had to reset the phone! The head set would only accept two devices in the pair list and in order to reconfigure an existing device, you had to reset the phone. That was so freakin' irritating! I just don't understand how you can develop a multi-featured product which appears to have great software, yet you fall short on something as critical as the pairing function. Regrettably, I'll be returning this product back to Best Buy.

Sound Quality is great but...

Summary: I really wanted to love this headset. Really! It is light weight, fit my ear really well, the sound was excellent butI was using it with an iPhone. As another reviewer said, after digging arouind on their tech support area, I found something from the technical staff (or the marketing staff, I'm not sure which) that said that several iPhone users have had some problems. They think it's the multitasking implementation... really Blue Ant? Come on. Are you really saying that the headset cuts out because of the multitasking? That even sounds rediculous. It also alluded to the fact that all bluetooth devices have this same problem with the iPhone. Based on my personal experience, not true at all. I have had the iPhone 4 since it came out and have used Plantronics and Motorola headsets and haven't expeienced any of these problems so I have to say based on my experience, Blue Ant just doesn't know how to fix the issues with the iPhone. Amazing technology in their product and wonderful sound but if you can't master the basics of staying connected through a phone call, who cares.

Company without customer service or integrity
by kramer97 on June 27, 2011
Pros: The sound is good
Cons: The product is flimsy and the customer service non-existent. The stem that holds the earbud came off and I called the number given for customer service, they sent me a case number and address to send my bluetooth to. I did that on the 21st of May. It is
Summary: I wish someone would look into this company. I for one will stick to companies here in the USA and hope there is still such a thing as integrity.

DO NOT BUY ANY OTHER BLUETOOTH DEVICE!
by tm5797 on April 20, 2011

Summary: I'VE BEEN THROUGH 6 BLUETOOTH HEADSETS IN THE PAST WEEK, and tried mid to the best rated including the newest $130.00 dollar jawbone era that really hurt my ear and wasn't impressed with any of the features it bragged about, and the plantronics 975 was a total disappointment except the cool case holder, I'm very picky about my electronics and especially with my phone and accessories for them, so take my word i tried the best at least what was suppose to be the best and was totally impressed with this new blue ant Q2 from pairing to sound quality and all the features, connects to both my phones and recognizes them flawlessly, i could go on bragging about this headset but there's not enough room! LOL, bottom line is if your searching for a Bluetooth headset your search is over! very under rated Bluetooth this one should be top of everybody's list and rated number 1, though i paid a little more than the online stores it was still very worth every penny, best buy is at $99.00
just wanted to add the type of phone i use and take inconsideration the poor reviews submitted by others were with i phones, i am sure if there are issues it will be because of the type of device paired with not the blue ant, i have 2 android phones one with Verizon (incredible) one with t-mobile (my touch) both phones have no issues whatsoever with this device...AMAZING!

Summary: Had a V1 and upgraded to the Q2 but unlike the V1 this one pushes ALL audio to earpiece with no option to disable. Called BlueAnt and they confirmed. So if the Q2 is on but not in your ear then your phone or at least mine (iPhone 4) will be switched to silent!!! Result: missed calls missed alerts and no music! What were they thinking? That I'm going to wear this in my ear all day?! It's not that comfortable for that anyway. Returning.

music sounds awful, stupid registration process

Summary: This is the worst sounding A2DP headset I've ever encountered. It's like those idiots that keep screaming "crank up the bass" until everything's massively distorted and muddy. It sounds like you're underwater in a box, everything is boomy with no distinction whatsover. Luckily voice sounds OK.
The Android app tells you that there is firmware available, but when you go to their website and jump through their massively annoying and privacy destroying registration process, you find out that there isn't, and even if there was you'd need a 32 bit Windows computer to install it. Why do you need to register to download firmware? The only reason I can think of is so they can spam you. -
Jewel-like quality in almost every respect

Summary: It's been a while since I've used a blue tooth ear piece, but my recent work activity makes it impractical to hold a phone to my ear, so I went shopping for a new one after hearing how much they've improved. I bought the Blueant Q2 on the strength of its reviews and comparative pricing. I was very pleased with every element of it's design and function, although the packaging was unnecessarily complex. I found the right ear piece, installed it, adjusted the hook and it felt comfortable right away. Before long I forgot that I was wearing it, which seems to me to be the ultimate outcome for ergonomic design. The charging took a lot longer than I would have expected, but on the other side of that coin, the thing goes for days without needing to be plugged in, which gives me the option of planning the recharge, rather that having it imposed on me in the middle of the day. I read the instructions, as is my habit, but frankly I didn't really have to; it paired up with my iPhone without any trouble, loaded the contact list and prompted me with recorded voice at every stage of the process. I love the voice command, which is clear and consistent throughout, although inexplicably, the caller announcement is a harsh, feminine voice that has trouble with even common English names. I've had to pull out the iPhone from my top pocket on more than one occasion to see who was calling. On the other hand, numbers are completely intelligible. I've played music through it, but it's nothing to write home about--the Blueant is clearly optimized for the dynamic range of the human voice. Works great for podcasts though. It comes with a nice velvet bag with a draw string, as well as a charging adapter and a short USB cable. Some might wish for something longer, but the unit is so light weight that it's no problem if it has to dangle. In the end, I'm very pleased with it, and plant to buy another for my wife.

Recently purchased the BlueAnt Q2 with no regrets.
by CDUB1155 on February 8, 2011
Pros: Has great audio quality for mono, lots of functionality, seamless pairing with pretty good voice recognition. Love the contacts import feature upon pairing.
Cons: A little awkward getting it adjusted on ear, takes some adjusting, otherwise it's okay. A little pricey, but you pay for what you want or need. They print it to spend it. :) ;)
Summary: Just the ability to be able to listen to my music without having to have a full headset on is a plus, which is a big step up from my ...

Works well but looks cheap and poor battery life
by Yeow69 on February 7, 2011
Pros: Comfortable in the ear, noise reduction good
Cons: Pretty bad battery life - maybe 3 hours max (originally got nearly 4 hours but it seems to have run down or something). I'm told some other headsets get 5 hours. Also pretty plasticy and cheap feeling - I wish they could have made it look better
Summary: The Q2 works like they said it does and the wind noise rejection is very good but it is let down by the cheap finis. I think there are others ...
Summary: The Q2 works like they said it does and the wind noise rejection is very good but it is let down by the cheap finis. I think there are others that are more stylish with about the same perfomance and the new jawbone seems to be good. Can Blueant please do something about the terrible battery life ? Please ?
