The good: The BlueAnt T1 is a durable and rugged headset with a great voice user interface. Its features include A2DP streaming, multipoint, and the announcement of incoming caller names. Also, its wind noise cancellation is fantastic.
The bad: The BlueAnt T1 is a bit bulkier than its predecessors were, and the caller name announcement could be perfected.
The bottom line: With its sturdy build, voice features, and excellent audio quality, the T1 is BlueAnt's best headset yet.

The best bluetooth I've used in NYC
by icon212 on October 13, 2010
Pros: great call quality on listeners side when outside in the city, nice look, nice voice prompts
Cons: volume on the call is low. when the call is done, the voice prompt is too loud. a little on the bulkier side

Summary: I can't complain that much. I live in NYC and I've used quite a few earpieces in my time. This is the only earpiece that the person on the other end of the call can hear me clearly while i'm walking outside in the loud streets of the city. I about gave up on bluethooth in NY because no one could ever hear what I was saying. Now with the T1 I can't believe they can hear me so well. Windy day, broadway, it doesn't matter anymore. I mean it's a revolution as far as i'm concerned. I wish the ear gels fit a little better, but when I put the ear hook on it fits better. there is a website that you can get custom ear gels for this thing. I might get it because the T1 suits m needs perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone who lives in a loud city and needs the person they're calling to hear them clearly.

great voice clarity and easy to use
by wase4711 on July 4, 2010
Pros: easy pairing, voice to text reading, announcing contacts names
Cons: a2DP sometimes doesnt hold on to music as well as my Jawbone

Summary: Great price, and great features on the T1; I have had a few Blueant headsets and they all were nice, but none was really spectacular..This one comes close though!
Great voice clarity on both ends, loud, and comfortable to wear..
Only issue I have had is that I seem to get occasional break ups when listening to music; I dont really see this with my Jawbone icon..Waiting to hear from tech support on this!
Got it for 1/2 of what my Jawbone cost me,and its at least equal to it, and if I can get the music issue fixed 100%, then its the new king of the hill for me!

Summary: Would have given it a 5 if I hadn't bought a new phone and had to attempt to pair it. Could not remove old phone settings so that I could reuse it with my new Samsung S3. Had to go into chat groups online to figure it out. Love it otherwise. Great product!

Works great when it works
by kwhatley on February 17, 2012
Pros: Rugged. Good wind noise reduction. Fits well in ear. Announces name of caller. Have to download list of phone contacts to it. Do other bluetooth's require this? If a new person is calling you it reads the phone number.
Cons: The voice that announces the caller is the absolute WORST thing I've ever heard. I thought is was gibberish the first two weeks I had it.
Periodically drops the connection to my phone too. VERY annoying.Summary: Still looking for that bluetooth that is as close to perfect as possible. This one ain't it.

The ...Summary: Superior Wind Performance
The Rugged BlueAnt T1 Bluetooth Headset is a durable, reliable Bluetooth device that has been designed to give high quality audio in the most challenging conditions.
The T1 is the first BlueAnt headset to feature Wind Armour Technology™
Developed over the course of years of research into wind noise performance, this solution combines patent-pending design features with BlueAnt's proprietary noise cancellation software to deliver clear audio in wind speeds up to 22 mph, the best wind noise reduction of any Bluetooth headset on the market.
Durable and Reliable
The T1 has also been designed to be highly durable. In addition to the sturdy earpiece, the T1 features removable and interchangeable patent-pending, soft-touch silicon covers that protect and cushion the headset from minor bumps and accidental impact and enable the T1 to withstand the onslaught of everyday dust and moisture.

Responding to the call is as easy as saying the words Answer or Ignore, leaving you hands free to focus on the task at hand.
The T1 also offers A2DP for streaming audio of podcasts and turn-by-turn directions from GPS applications on your mobile phone.
Free Android Application.

Over Priced Under Performing
by r0k on October 4, 2011
Pros: Light weight. Good sound quality. Announcements are clear and audible... if they work at all.
Cons: Poor setup. No voice announcement of low battery status, you have to speak and ask for it. Three finger salute to reset. Dropped pairing repeatedly. Poor battery life. Poor support. Not a good experience.

Summary: I returned this headset and picked up a Plantronics M50. So far the M50 is a much better headset. First of all pairing the T1 was clunky. I was pairing to a Motorola phone. Dealing with the user interface on a Motorola V860 on Verizon is painful enough without the vulcan nerve pinch required to get this headset into pairing mode.
Once I got it paired by entering 0000, it worked pretty well for about a week, then in the middle of a phone call it started playing a little chime in my ear. I shut down the headset so I could continue the call on the phone. It turns out the battery was dying. I only got about 90 minutes talk time out of this thing!
The worst incident happened after I had the T1 for 2 weeks. Suddenly while I was hosting a call with about 20 people it went silent. Nobody could hear me and I couldn't hear them. I could see in the webex console that they were talking but I couldn't hear or be heard. And after the call was over, the battery level read "medium". This is outrageously poor performance for a business tool.
I went to the BlueAnt web site and the main option for support was watching videos with sound. Not something I can do conveniently at the office.
I called Blue Ant support and they talked me through checking the battery status. I can't do it while on a call and I must hit the multifunction button and ask for battery status. By comparison, the model I have now (Plantronics M50) cost $30 less and announces battery status whenever I turn it on. No looking for a button so I can "ask" how much battery I have. While I was on the phone with support, the T1 headset lost pairing with my V860 in the middle of the call and it took quite some time to get the headset out of the loop so I could talk to the support guy and tell him I had enough was returning the thing to the store.
This product has promise but it's clear nobody thought through the features and theory of operation of this device. They were in a hurry to get it out the door and made some tragic blunders. Vulcan nerve pinch? The thing only has 3 buttons and I gotta press all three of 'em with precise timing and "get lucky" to get it to reset? 90 minute battery life when the box says 6 hours? Dropped audio?
No thanks. Returned to store. Don't waste your money on this headset. If you still want one, wait a few months. You'll be able to pick a Blue Ant T1 up at Bit Lots for $8. -
Sounds GREAT! But, BAD connection problems
by Hey Tony323 on September 19, 2011
Pros: East to install, Text to speech and caller name announce is a GREAT feature for when your driving and can't pick up your phone to see who is calling you. Sound quality is great, loud enough, clear sound when windy, callers never complained about noise in
Cons: Connections problems with the Android LG G2x. Always had to turn it off and turn it back on again to get a good connection. After awhile and the phone would ring, I WAS NOT ABLE TO ANSWER MY CALLS with this unit - very annoying. When using voice recog

Summary: I love the headset, loved the feel of it, very comfortable. Caller announce is a GREAT feature to have on a headset. But, I had a hard time using the caller announce feature since there was always a connection problem with the LG G2x Android and it when it was connected it didn't always get it right. So, I did end up returning it and got the Plantronics M1100 which stays connected with my LG all the time. We'll see how that goes...

Summary: I bought this headset because I listen to a lot of podcasts at work so I needed A2DP. Other than the fact that it streams audio, this headset has been the biggest waste of $80 ever & is constantly making me want to rip my hair out. The connection is terrible no matter what device I pair it with, audio cuts out & skips all the time, and phone calls are so muffled that people I talk to get mad at me for making them repeat themselves all the time. It's ridiculous, for a high-end headset like this I expected WAY more! Gonna sell this one & get a Jawbone, heck with this.
