The good: The Bose SIE2 and SIE2i earphones fit securely and comfortably, are sweat-resistant, and their "open" design has its appeal. They also offer pleasantly full bass and include a Reebok "fitness" armband for wearing your portable music device.
The bad: They're pricey. The included armband won't house the iPhone 5 or new iPod Touch, they let in sound, and no carrying case is included.
The bottom line: While they're no bargain, the Bose SEI2 and SEI2i have an appealing, sweat-resistant design, are very comfortable to wear, and offer decent sound.

Summary: The only reason that these didn't get a 5 star rating from me is because of the price. Abound $150 seems a little steep for the price of in ear headphones. Pricing aside these are amazing headphones for working out or lounging around. They are made specifically for active use rather than just lounging around. I don't tend to sweat a lot when i work out so the water resistant aspect wasnt a huge selling point for me plus the fact that they are water resistant and not water proof will keep me from wanting to risk using them in the rain. It would have been nice if they had an all black model because a lot of people like myself don't like flashy coloring but the green and gray are kinda cool when I got them. Plus I believe they try to make them in loud colors because they are meant for running outside.
Sound- The sound is amazing. I had gone a year using the basic apple headphones that come with the iPhone so going from those to a pair like this is like going from driving a Prius to an exotic sports car. The bass is deep and the highs and mids are clear. They aren't noise canceling because of the fact that they are meant for people that would run while using them and it wouldnt be very safe for the user to not hear their surroundings if they are running outside. I don't really have a problem with this though cuz they have enough isolation to where i really cant hear too much around me anyway.
Comfort- The custom fit moldings that go on the earbuds come in 3 sizes which is nice so that you can get the perfect fit. When they are in they are almost non existent. The moldings are soft enough rubber that they aren't uncomfortable against the ear. They hold very well. For me personally I have never had a problem with earbuds falling out but I have heard a lot of complaints in regards to other headphones that they come out easily. With these there is no fear of having them fall out. The rubber pieces keep the buds in the ear very well. They are also really easy to put in. The way they look you would think it would be difficult but it isn't. When it comes to using headphones comfort is right below sound in importance. These do not disappoint in this aspect as well.
Extras- Cord extension; An extra cord extension comes with the package. The headphones by themselves are short because they are meant to be plugged into your devise while it is on your arm. I tend to have my phone in my pocket while at the gym and the cord extension is the perfect length to do so without being too long.
Armband- Bose paired with Reebok to create an armband for the headphones. Colors match the color of the headphones. I don't use an armband a lot but this one is very comfortable on my arm when I do use it. FYI the armband is currently only compatible with ipod touch or iPhone 4 or 4s not 5. Bose has said they will offer an exchange when the new armbands are available.
Usage- When using these I love the fact that they have the mic and volume and music controls. The SIE2I is the model with volume controls and mic while the SIE2 does not have the controls or mic. It makes it a lot easier to use rather than having to take my phone out of my pocket to change volume/song or to answer a call. While doing vigorous activities in the gym i almost forgot i was wearing them and they didn't feel like they would come out at all.
I would definitely recommend these to someone looking for a great pair of headphones to work out with. They are also good for just lounging around as well because of how comfortable they are.
P.S. I suggest to check for best price for these headphones at: Headphonesbuying.wordpress.com/bose-sie2i/
I hope it helps.

They get you by, but u may want to hold out 4 better
by Kevin222222 on January 23, 2014
Pros: semi in ear allows some ambient sound in/out. they stay in your ear MOST of the time. Controller is a plus. they are somewhat comfortable. water resistant. acceptable sound.
Cons: the cord is either too short if you're not using the arm band, or its too bulky if your using the 'extension'. Mic can be bulky and bounce around. they are prone to falling out sometimes. Sound is kind of muted in mid range. lows are good.
Summary: if your buying these in a pinch, i say go for it, if your not attached to the money. but if you really want the most bang for your buck ...
Summary: if your buying these in a pinch, i say go for it, if your not attached to the money. but if you really want the most bang for your buck go with the Shure SE215, you will not be disappointed. They are better in EVERY respect, same price range.
Tired of destroying countless earbuds while lifting?

Pros: Quality sound, secure fit, exteremly durable
Cons: Remote quality is poor, microphone is tepid at best, outside sound overpowers speakers at times

Summary: After being a longtime fan of the original IEs, I purchased the SEIE2is hoping that it would be a more rugged improvement of the IE2. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed. While Bose did an excellent job on providing a durable set of earbuds with great sound, it is underscored by the amount of sound the earpiece lets in, and at times you literally have to crank the volume uncomfortably loud to compete with outside sounds or a car stereo. The cord sends mixed signals, with size and tangling issues being the key factor; clip in the extension for the cord and you have a fairly large rope to play with that can be cumbersome if you're lifting, leave the cord at home and you have a hilariously short cord that can't even reach the average man's pocket. Unfortunately, even with these flaws, there really isn't any earbud in the active style that is comparable in sound quality. Obviously, you must be willing to let Bose turn out your pockets to purchase, as $150 after taxes and shipping for non-sound isolating earbuds is fairly steep.
I wish they Worked like they say!!

Pros: Great Sound, Extremely comfortable fit
Cons: Microphone Breaks, Remote Breaks - Replaced 3 Times in 1 Month and It broke again today!! Wires twist too easily

Summary: I love these. I wanted these for ages, as I work out hard. Running, cycling and circuits. There is nothing comparable in the market that I can see. The headphones fit so well, you can still hear the traffic which is great and the sound is the usual Bose high quality - winner then? NO NO NO. Im so disappointed I have taken them back to be replaced 3 times and today they have broken again. Im fed up and I would have swapped for something else BUT there is nothing else with the same features. For £129 they should be perfect. The competition is way less money than that BUT they don't have the features. I Want these to work and Im calling Bose tomorrow to see if its an issue and what they can do. I would rate them 5 stars but I can't because the reliability is so poor. The microphone stops working and your caller can't hear you. The voice recognition obviously therefore doesnt work and then the volume goes up and up without touching them. SORT IT OUT BOSE
Horrible!!, the experience cannot be worst!

Pros: The earphones speakers, the only part of the device that did not get damaged.
Cons: The volume buttons and the mic.. they get damaged at the first week of usage, 2 times!!

Summary: I run almost the 7 days of the week for around 40 minutes on a treadmill at a very high speed, so i sweat and I needed a good pair of headphones, after seeing the SIE2`s promo video on youtube where Bose claims that those headphones are made for sport and are "sweat resistant" I decided to bought those things. In a month of usage the experience cannot be worst! they worked fine the first week, after that, the play and volume control became crazy!, it suddenly put all the volume up (to the maximum volume) or stopped the music for no reason, I went to the store where i bought those things and they gave me a new set (that was ok) the new set were working fine until today.... today the volume control gets mad again... is not working and the play button stay pressed, and yes! the microphone is not listening... I dont see any "sweat resistant" on this pair of headphones, so, DO NOT buy this things!
