The good: The Jabra BT125 is compact, lightweight, comfortable, and easy to use. The sound quality is great as well.
The bad: The volume rocker on the Jabra BT125 is skinny and flush to the surface. You also can't change the orientation of the rocker.
The bottom line: The Jabra BT125 is a simple compact headset that's easy to use and comfortable to wear and has terrific sound quality.
The Jabra BT125 is yet another compact and lightweight Bluetooth headset for Jabra's lineup, and it's targeted especially toward first-time headset users or those who just want one that's easy to use. It doesn't have the style of the Jabra JX10 nor the colors of the Jabra BT160, but we think its simplicity will appeal to most users who just want a solid yet affordable model. The Jabra BT125 is available now at $39.95.
As far its design, the Jabra BT125 appears rather bland. It has the typical teardrop shape of most headsets with a black front and a white back. Yet it's really compact and lightweight, measuring only 2 by 0.75 by 0.9 inches and weighing less than 0.5 ounce. On its front is a large tactile multifunction button that shows blue backlighting when activated. The volume rocker rests on its right spine, but you wouldn't even know it was there unless you read the manual or were especially eagle-eyed. It is very skinny and flat, and it blends into the headset since they're the same color. And even once we found it, its small size made it difficult to press, especially when we were wearing the headset.
On the back of the headset is an earpiece that rests just inside the ear without protruding too deeply in the canal. This resulted in a really comfortable yet secure fit. There's also an adjustable ear hook that you can switch to wear on either the right or the left ear. The hook itself is extremely flexible, and it's bendable for a more comfortable fit. We managed to wear our headset for a few hours without noticing any discomfort.
We tested the headset with the LG VX5300 and the T-Mobile Sidekick 3. It paired with both devices successfully, and we answered and ended calls without a hitch. Call quality was loud and clear, although it did suffer a little in noisier environments, with callers insisting that we speak up. The features on the headset are pretty basic: you can answer, end, make, and reject calls; dial by voice, redial the last number, and place a call on hold. It also supports Bluetooth 2.0.
The Jabra BT125 has a rated talk time of 8 hours and a rated standby time of 7 days.

Finally! A bluetooth that fits!

Summary: I have finally found a bluetooth headset that i can use. This is my third, and because of my ear I have problems with other headsets. They are usually too loose because the ear hook is skinny.
Not this one! I can bend it just right so that it actually stays still, right in place, exactly how i want it. If it starts to get a little irritating, its simple to readjust the location and/or the fit.
The sound is fine, no echo and no one knows I'm on a bluetooth when I'm talking on it.
The volume controls are not "ideal" but certainly manageable.
And its inexpensive. More comfort, easy to use, and not a pocket breaker.
Give it a try. Its cheap enough that if you don't like it, you won't be kicking yourself for buying it.5 out of 5 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: This is the best basic Bluetooth headset on the market. There are others with better features and more style, but for an on/in the ear model with a single multifunction button, this is as good as it gets.
The BT125 works has the same basic functionality as dozens of competing models. You get one multifunction button and a volume rocker. (I find the rocker usable by feel, but I will admit it is hard to tell whether you are going up or down in the first few clicks). It turns on or pairs by holding the button for a long time. It has a flexible ear hook and sits on, more than in, the opening of your ear canal. But it gets as much as you possibly can from this arrangement.
1) The "flexible ear hook" is truly flexible (beats Motorola) and yet is contoured perfectly for anatomical comfort (beats Cardo).
2) The speaker sits lightly and comfortably on the outside of the ear and is much more comfortable than the Cardo Scala 600 I had used previously. There is only a smooth surface, no scratches from the recharger port.
3) The multifunction button is recessed and yet easy to find. My Motorola H500 cannot be carried in a bag or pocket because the button sticks out!
4) The sound is good at BOTH ends of the conversation! (The only exception is that adjusting the volume during causes a lot of noise and distraction on your listener's end.) The noise cancellation works as well as any I've tried, and the directional microphone works a LOT better than any omni directional setup of my H500.
4) Volume range is great as is battery life and charging time. The speaker gets loud enough to be heard over heavy equipment, although it also distorts at that level. I can set it on about 1/3 loudness and it is perfectly usable under normal conditions with excellent tone quality.
5) This unit is designed to be functional, but I kind of like the style, especially the white underside that came with my unit (different than what you see in the pictures at this site). The black and white theme, size, and teardrop shape have sort of a Star Wars Ep. IV nastalgia, (or maybe it's the cyborg ear computer on the bald guy from Blade Runner (sorry I couldn't get a more specific with that reference)).
I wish Jabra used the same USB-type chargers that Motorola uses, but other than that, this unit causes me NO PAIN in my day to day life. And that is saying alot for a Bluetooth headset!2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Pros: sounds is clear and loud enough, comfortable and lightweight.
Cons: Volume adjusting for every call.

the Jabra BT125 has great sound quality. it is clearer and just as loud as my other headset which is the in-ear variety from samsung.
The Jabra's standby time is enormous at 170 hours and the talk time is twice what my samsung's is at 8 hours.
the range is what is most impressive about this headset. 33 feet is more than you will ever need but it actually does go out that far unlike most headsets. the static doesnt start until about 12 feet which is very nice.
it only weighs half an ounce and has an adjustable ear hook, which makes it very comfortable to wear for extended periods.
i dont like that i have to adjust the volume for every single call since it resets after you hang up. i would prefer to set it once and be done with it.
overall i am extremely satisfied with this headset. it has everything i needs and performs beautifully with only a minor inconvenience as a negative. At $30 this is a great value and a solid choice at any price range.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: My BT125 is paired with my Nokia 6133 much to my pleasure. This has been my first experiance with a bluetooth set and at $30 I figured it wasnt a terrible risk. I have found that the set is very easy to use regardless of the volume rocker (simple solution is to adjust the set position).
I have only had to pair the set twice with the phone in the three months I have owned it (I think I reset the phone somehow). Even then the task was a breeze.
Comfort has not been an issue even though I wear the set roughly 3 hours a day. Voice calling is great and performed with eeze. most of my daily needs can be performed with one touch of the set.
In short, try it you'll like it.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Great Value & Great Performance

Summary: After purchasing this little wonder at Staples for $29.99 (on sale), I have been nothing but pleased. The only complaint is that the blue light flashes whenever it's working (which means even on stand-by). I live in the country and don't imagine this will ever be a hassle for me, but others may find it a bit offensive. However, the sound quality is superb, the fit on my ear has been easy and comfortable, and the charging was fast at 3 hours maximum. Those I've spoken with have found it easy to understand me.
One slight problem was that when the phone was in my shirt pocket under a sweater, there was OCCASIONAL, unobtrusive static. When I moved it to my pants pocket, it went away entirely.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Summary: I picked this up on Ebay after reading the reviews here. I agree with the more positive reviews, it's a great little headset for the money. I have no trouble hearing the other party and they say I sound good. The range is decent and sound is clear. What more do you need from a headset?
On the downside and this is sooooo subjective: I'm 6'3" 210 pounds which means I'm a fairly good sized boy... with ears to match. I've never been called "DumboEars" but I'm sure my ears are larger than average. I am not able to attain a comfortable secure fit with this headset. Parts of the ear hook are not adjustable (bendable) and the overall length of the ear hook is too short to obtain a secure fit to my ear.
Now, if you are an averaged sized person with average (or smaller) sized ears, you will most likely love this headset.

Great Value Headset
by cnetislame on November 5, 2006
Pros: Price. Battery life. Very comfortable and adjustable. Call quality is great. Easy pairing.
Cons: Small volume button can be hard to use. I wish the volume was a little louder, but that could just be my ears. Volume resets after each call.

Summary: This is my first bluetooth headset and from reviews I have read on other headsets, I was hesitant about buying one for my LG CU500. I picked this one up based on CNet giving it a good review.
I am impressed with this headset. It paired up quickly and stays paired. The volume button is a little hard to use at first, but you will get the hang of it quickly. I don't like that the volume resets each time you hang up, annoying, but it resets to a reasonable volume.
Call quality is great. 10ft no static, 20 ft a little static, 30ft a little more than 20ft. Even at 30ft you can have a conversation without it being annoying. Battery life is great. I wish the volume went a little higher.
The ear piece is comfortable and very adjustable. My wife has small ears and usually can't use ear clip headsets/headphones, but this one works great for her.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.
