Opinion from someone with eyeglasses.

Pros: Comfort level, easy set up, and sound quality.
Cons: Hard to reach volume buttons and two piece plug.

Summary: For those of us who wear eyeglasses (wonder if manufacturers take us into consideration when testing their products), a lot of this headsets are hard to wear, sometimes even uncomfortable. My wife (who doesn't wear eyeglasses) and I both purchased Motorola phones and the Motorola HS850 headset. While she was able to wear the headset with no problems/complaints, I could not, because of the issue of it being to loose on your ear and of course the eyeglasses did not help the cause.
This was all remedied by the Jabra BT250v. It has a better hold on your ear and my eyeglasses don't get in the way. I have a few pair of eyeglasses and some of them are bulkier than others. Even with my prescription sunglasses (which are bulky) the BT250v is comfortable on my ear. I also found (this being my first time dealing with any bluetooth technology) that the sound quality is excellent. I hear people clearly and from my questions, they hear me clearly as well. Distance away from the phone does not seem to be a problem. I haven't tested it at 30ft, but have at about 15 and it works fine. The set up was easy. However I did have an issue with the buttons being behind my ear, unlike the HS850 whose buttons are on the side. As for the vibration feature, I don't use it. the headset is on my ear when in use and not in my pocket. I turn it off and don't find a use for it, but some others may.
Overall a great first experience with a bluetooth headset. I recommend it to those who wear eyeglasses. Yes it looks a bit star trekish, but you will be happy with your purchase.5 out of 5 users found this user opinion helpful.

This is a good one

Summary: I had a BT200 which was good but broke and then I purchased the BT250V which is superior in functionality. Lost my BT250V and bought the BT500; big mistake. If you like sounding like you are talking into a glass and the same hearing people talk to you, then the BT500 is the headset for you. I purchased another BT250V to replace the returned BT500; without a doubt, this is the unit to buy if you want your headset to sound like a land line.

People must be insane giving this a bad rating,

Summary: Aside from the satisfactory battery life this is in my opinion the best BT headset I have ever owned or tried. I have tried all the Motorola's because some of my friends have Moto headsets. I have tried out some of the Plantronics and Ericsson's and even some other Jabra models and those others don't cut it. The Jabra Bt250v is far the best one I have tried and now own. I heard some negative things about the BT500 that recently came out. Whats nice about this model is the design. I like how it fits my ear and stays secure. I tried on the 500 model which is similar but thinner. In a lot of cases with electronic devices you would think thinner is better like the Razr was the best thing to happen for the phone world. But not in the case for the BT500. It didn't feel as secure as the BT250v. The controls are very easy to use. It's very comfortable on your ear. The sound is amazing, louder than using my handset or other BT headsets. Out of all the ones I tried pairing with my phone just to experiment trying the 250V was the easiest, even a five year old kid could do it. The gel piece is what makes the sound so great. Also other models on the market you have to disassemble bigger parts of the headset to switch the headset to fit each ear. with the 250V all you have to do is swivel the gel piece. Overall a fabolous headset.

Worth a Try
by macnz on April 3, 2006
Pros: easy to wear, erogomically discrete, does not fall out or heat up, clear audio pick-up, easy to hear, battery life good
Cons: toggle button for functions a bit hit and miss, ear gels not easily replaced
Summary: had several headsets and phones. this is one of the better ones. Great bargin as there are the BT500 and 800 now available.

My first one went kaput after 2 weeks. Can testify the battery can keep this unit vibrating for several hours! After trying out the 500 and 800, decided to give a second try and no problems. Sucker for the little blue led. Does not strain the ear or heat up with extended use. Pairing is straight forward. Comes with separate power charger which I prefer than charging via the laptop which seems to be the trend these days.1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

Doesn't work. Jabra won't take it back
by mtstillman on September 2, 2005
Pros: if working, then its fine
Cons: Doesn't last for $100; don't buy Jabra product

Summary: I bought a 2nd one because the 1st one didn't work (got it from Staples who wouldn't match the Verizon Wireless price ($20 less) because it wasn't even a sale price. 1st from Staples broke in 4 days; 2nd from Verizon broke in 20 days. Jabra wanted me to have to pay shipping to return it. Person on the phone was nice, but since they were making me pay shipping I just had the credit card cancel the purchase.
Quality, when working, was fair. Volume level was a little low but could hear in the car fine if the radio and A/c were off.
However, regardless, if Jabra won't stand behind their products, what good is a $100 earphone?2 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.

Timex has nothing on the BT250v
by ngoron on December 20, 2010
Pros: The shape of it fits comfortably and securely around the back of the ear. The sound quality is superb. The selection of jelbuds that fit into the ear have an almost noise reduction attribute.
Cons: The only downside is they didn't give it to me for free.
Summary: I love the design. It's out of the way and there is nothing poking out from the side of my head. It not only rings but it also vibrates. ...
Summary: I love the design. It's out of the way and there is nothing poking out from the side of my head. It not only rings but it also vibrates. It is the most reliable headset I have ever purchased. As far as durability goes, I lost my headset in the lawn in winter time. I found it in summer time while cutting the lawn. That means it had been rained on numerous times and been subjected to freezing winter nights. I thought no way this thing is gonna work. I plugged it in and the beautiful blue light came on.
Still, i'm thinking no way this thing is gonna work. After charging it I paired with my Palm 650 and presto it was all good. That was back in 2008. I originally purchased the headset in 2006 and it is still working today. Whoa!! -
Lots of static and can't use voice commands if there is ANY background noise.

Pros: Nice fit, not much else...

Summary: I am on my 4th BT250V. I returned the first one to the ebay seller and two more times directly to Jabra. Jabra tech support has been polite and responsive. But, they can't seem to fins me a BT250V that works.
I am using it with a Samsung Gleam. I get lots of static. If I walk around outside and keep my phone in my shirt pocket I can find spots where I get clean sound. But, all I have to do is walk a few feet or turnaround and I get static.
Also, I cannot use the voice command dialing if there is any wind or other background. I have to yell the commands to make a connection.
I have since purchased a Ssmsung WEP410. It works fine. The sound quality is only fair to good. But, no static!! -
Don't waste your money

Summary: Don't waste your money on this headset. Its not very comfortable to wear but that's not the worst problem. The ear bud won't stay in your ear. Its an interchangeable gel piece on the end of a spring arm. To hear properly you must push the ear bud into your ear but the spring just pulls it back out. Jabra provides different gel adaptors but they really don't solve the problem. You end up just pushing and pushing and then your ear gets irritated. I called Jabra and they said they had never heard of the problem. Then I watched the CNET review video and there the problem was!!! VERY IRRITATING AND A WASTE OF MONEY

Not a good choice....

Pros: Vibrates in case you have it off your head and the phone is on silent...

The first one DOA and Jabra replaced it with another one.
The second one lasted about four weeks and then died.
The third one was a BT500v that is awaiting replacement. At least that one lasted about five months.
Everyone complained about the sound quality and I had problems keeping it from losing connections with the Treo 700wx and then it would lock up and then lock up the phone.
Granted, the Treo could have been the problem, but without buying mass quantities of phones and contracts to evaluate these things with, I can only refer to my experience. -
Works same as the 500 for me
by doclees1 on February 3, 2008
Pros: Long charge life, good sound quality

Summary: I have this and the BT500. The thinner 500 fits nicer on the ear although the 250 isn't bad. The changeable ear piece produces too deep a tone in the longer one and too soft in the shorter one. Need one in the middle or of a different material. The 500 seems to react faster in call connection than the 250. The 250 answer button is on top and sometimes answering you can move the ear piece out of center. The 500 is on the bottom and isn't an issue for me. The 250 has a charging cradle and the 500 has a micro usb charging port. The 250 stopped charging after about 2 months of use. I got the 500 for about $20. Then I took apart the 250 charging cradle to find a solder point that crossed. Cleaned the solder and it charges fine now. Other than quality control with the extra parts on the 250, both seem to be good products.
