Audio quality blew me away! Best I've heard.
by cdreemz17 on February 23, 2010
Pros: Superior music and call quality. Super lightweight. Simple controls. 3 chargers. Ultra comfortable. Did I mention that it plays music?!
Cons: Hard to get a proper and comfortable fit at first. Fine now. No other cons at all!

Summary: I also have the Motorokr S305. It is an awesome stereo headset. I still use it for the gym. Great sound and call quality. Very light for a set or over the ear-phones. Jabra runs circles around this headset in the sound department although the S305 is no slouch. They both have nice volume on them but the S305 sounds a little distorted in the highs, even with the volume low. The Jabra is perfect at all frequencies. I can even hear and feel the bass coming from only one earbud. Amazing.
I've owned the Plantronics Voyager 855. That headset can't compare to the Jabra Extreme in any category. Although the Jabra is mono, it sounds better than the stereo output of the Voyager 855. Call quality is in another league as well.
As far as I'm concerned, this is the best bluetooth headset out there. No skipping, no dipping in call quality. Dedicated on/off switch, volume and call controls. All the accessories you need - 2 ear hooks, 3 ear gels, 3 chargers, cool retail presentation box. The packaging was what had me going. I thought, "Man, if thing thing sounds half as good as this box looks, I'm in business." The Jabra Extreme sounds 20x better than it looked. You will not be disappointed. Buy it. Very Good Bluetooth Headset!! Great Value!!
by dmusicwrks on April 7, 2011
Pros: Great sound quality and features. I love the modern look and design. Dedicated on/off switch. Nice stand alone car charger that has no cords. Good battery life. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars by PC World in the Summer of 2010! Great value for the price!
Cons: The ear buds intially took some adjusting to get a comfortable fit. Buttons may be a little small (but I also have larger-than-average hands).

Summary: I use my Bluetooth's extensively for work and play. I normally buy the $60-$100 Bluetooth's with the protection plan with them so when there's a problem I can switch them out. So, over the years I've gone through many brands and types of Bluetooth's (Motorola's, Plantronics, Emerson, etc.,) and I've recently noticed that the only ones that have ever satisfied me were Jabra's! Although I've never tried the highly rated Jawbone or BlueAnt Bluetooth's. I had the option of buying the Jabra Extreme or the Jawbone Icon which was on sale @ a great price but I liked the design of the Jabra Extreme much better and I remembered my past satisfaction with the Jabra BT8040 so I obviously went with the Jabra Extreme and I am very satisfied.

Quality diminished after about six months
by IndyB on February 19, 2011
Pros: Small size. Great for listening to podcasts. Unpretentious design. A2DP and call volume is very good. Good fit.
Cons: Spotty connectivity even when close to phone. Sound quality worsened over time. My callers complained about difficulty hearing me.
Summary: Greatly enjoyed the product at first, but quality declined over time. Purchased BlueAnt T1 today. Paired it with same iPhone. Tested it with the same callers who remarked on great ...

Good Sound Quality. Painful Wear.

Summary: I have had others, and it took me a long time to find a bluetooth with good sound quality. This has it! It does not fit my ear very well. My ear is bruised after wearing this set for about 10 minutes. If people are stating it does not hurt their ear, chances are they have a large ear opening to better fit the ear bud. Mrs. Lee refers to the bud as being a "gel." I would say that is a stretch! It is hard uncomfortable rubber! I am going to have to refund mine due to the discomfort. I am going to look into the Blueant Q2.

Best I've used yet! Better than my Jawbone.
by Yojimbo115 on September 3, 2010
Pros: -Sound Quality (on both ends) is amazing.
-Lightweight, and easy to wear.
-A2DP (streaming music through a 1 ear earpiece) is great.Cons: Short charging port, but it's micro USB, who DOESN'T have one of these already?
Summary: To those that experience initial discomfort...any new headset will cause your ear to have to form new calluses to get used to the pressuere...give it a chance.

A2DP occasionally skips, but nowhere near as bad as my old Moto S9i. -
Kindof Overrated
by saxovic88 on July 15, 2010
Pros: Dedicated on/off switch. Ear bud design is very comfortable. Nice car charger has no cords.
Cons: Ear bud "hook" broke in only 6 days. Cord on wall charger is WAY too short.

Summary: I like having the dedicated on/off switch, other than that, it's just another bluetooth. I do like the design of the ear bud, it's very comfortable. I also like the car charger that came with it. No cords to get tangled in my glove box. Nice and compact for my truck.
For as much as I like the ear bud, I'm very dissapointed because I have only owned this unit for 6 days and the ear bud "hook" is already tearing. What a dissapointment! Also, I could only laugh when I saw how short the cord on the wall charger is. Only about 10 inches long! Come on Jabra, is that really useable? Fortunately I can use the wall charger from my old Jabra BT -
not worth .........................

Pros: definitely better sound quality , increased area of coverage
Cons: design is not at all impressive, Battery life is not that good as they claim, doesn't fit to my ear & i tried every attachment, automatic volume control is more of headache, it starts music player by default as soon as i connect it to my cell.
Summary: i was using Jabara 2070 since last 6 months, but my dad liked it so i gave it to him n bought jabara extreme, which cost twice as much as ...
Summary: i was using Jabara 2070 since last 6 months, but my dad liked it so i gave it to him n bought jabara extreme, which cost twice as much as 2070.
1.previously when ever i called my mom and my sis by 2070 they always complaint me "they cant hear me", they say " i am talking like a kidnapper". every time they can make out that i am using headset and i have to remove it, otherwise they disconnected the phone. but when i bought jabara extreme , trust me they couldn't judge that i am using a headset.
2. i was amazed one day when i was talking on extreme at home and forgot my cell on table.i moved to other room, and i was still talking, without disturbance.
my dislikes about it .....
3.when ever i connect it to my Nokia cell(7210) it automatically starts music player which is annoying as i have to wait for a sec after connecting it & switch off music player every time i connect. i though its some setting in cell phone of mine which is creating this prob. and i can't figure it out so i connected it to other Nokia cell(3110) n the story is same. i will call Jabara office soon for this.
4. i dont use jabara extreme for music streaming, still i have to charge it almost daily. the indicator warning is of no use as it drops very fast before i can put it on charge.
5.though sound quality has improved but its not like what jabara claims ... when i am driving neither me nor the guy at other end can hear anything.
6.Nicole Lee CNET editor has aptly said. it doesn't fit on my ear also. its painful sometime. its was not the same story with 2070.
7.automatic volume control is not good . it drops the sound anytime between conversation.initially i thought its network prob. but later i figured out its jabara extreme and i have to raise the vol. in between conversation if vol drops.
8. every friend of mine noticed new headset jabara extreme and most of them said previous one (2070) looked better then this one, n i feel the same.
considering it twice as costly as 2070, i think extreme is not worth value of money i paid. -
Very comfortable.
by cnetuser5760 on June 1, 2010
Pros: I found this to be more comfortable when using the ear hook. Sound quality is good, except when walking directly into the wind. All features of my Omnia II work well with this set.
Cons: I would like better wind canceling.
Summary: I've used a lot of different headsets and have found Jabra to almost be comfortable and consistent.
