The good: The Jabra Stone 2 has a stylish and unique design that encapsulates the headset inside a charger. The fit is effortless, comfortable, and discreet. Updated features include voice guidance alerts and voice controls.
The bad: The Jabra Stone 2's audio quality is average at best, with quite a bit of digital noise in outgoing calls. We're not fans of the touch-sensitive volume rocker, and the Stone 2 only fits in the right ear.
The bottom line: The Jabra Stone 2 is undoubtedly elegant with several advanced features to boot, but it does have a downside in performance.

Worst bluetooth headset that I have ever had.

Summary: Audio Quality is terrible. Not very clear and cracks up all the time. I have to keep saying what..what and volume is all the way up. Highest volume setting is too low. I had to pull the rubber ear piece out to get the device to fit in my ear and get a little better volume. Battery life is terrible as well. I couldn't believe this. I can only talk with the device for maybe 45 min before it dies even after it is fully charged. I just got the device and I am already looking for another one because this is useless. This will be my last Jabra purchase.

Summary: This product does not work well with the new iPhone 4S when using Siri. After verbal commands to Siri, the headset will respond with "call ended". When in fact, no call was placed. Brought this to the attention of Jabra customer service. Their response was "For further assistance you will need to contact app manufacturer or Apple directly". Jabra did not seem interested in fixing the problem, which should only require a simple software update. I would not recommend this product for use with the iPhone 4s.

You can't buy a replacement headset if you misplace it.

My wife bought me a Jabra Stone 2 as a Christmas present last year. In spite of the wrongful claims regarding the talk time and battery life, I enjoyed the product, mainly because of the take-a-long charger. However, a few months ago I lost the headset and contacted Jabra to know if I could purchase a replacement. Much to my astonishment, they informed me that I would have to buy the headset, with the take-a-long charger and the AC/DC charger, even though I informed them that I was prepared to pay for it, provided that the cost of the take-a-long charger and the AC/DC charger were deducted. I complained to no avail. So there you go, we're in the 21st century, with a substantial problem of electronics disposal, and Jabra believes that it makes sense not to sell a small replacement headset that can easily be misplaced. -
Great for the occasional user. Beautiful design!
by Jabra_fan on February 26, 2012
Pros: Sleek design (leather) makes it stand out. It connects to two devices and streams music. It fits my ear comfortably. The gel that it came with did not fit well but I was able to switch to a better one from the package. A+ for the charger/holder.
Cons: Noise cancellation did not work well during calls. That is the main complaint I get from people i am talking to. Battery life is only 90 min of use per charge (I tested it :) ).

Summary: I have had this product for three months. Everyone I talk to loves the design and I think the sound quality is great for a mono device. It works well for me. I mainly use it when I am in my car while driving. I do not talk for very long times. I think 30-40 min is usually the most. This item works well with my iPhone 4 too. (yes it works with Siri and she understands me most of the time.)
Some of the reviews mentioned a few things.
I love this headset but, There are better Bluetooth devices for people looking for a dedicated headset for all day use. This item could have been a huge hit if it had a longer battery life. I guess design trumped functionality.
Updated on Feb 26, 2012
The headset getting loose: My headset didn't get loose but it did not snugly (is that a real word?) fit into the cradle I just used a rubber band around the headset a few nights to get it snug again.
Battery notification: The iPhone also shows the battery life without the app. Voice notification of the battery life can get annoying.
The belt clip does suck. I don't use it.
Bluetooth pairing/software issues (sound levels): Try a software update from the website. -
You will not want it.

by gschrang on January 12, 2012
Pros: Not a single one.
Cons: Made for a child's ear. Sounds like taking to someone through a wall. The battery lasts 40 mins IF it charges at all. The speaker points the opposite direction from the ear canal. No functions work right.

Great for calls, but that's it.
by zlopez84 on August 15, 2011
Pros: The battery life is exactly as advertised 2 hours MAX! And a good 8 more on the charger.
The pairing is super quick
Design is the best, small and barely unnoticeable
Comes with a bunch of accessories
No annoying blue light on the outside line the other heCons: It is rather annoying having to charge the headset multiple times when you're listening to music all day.
The quality of calls wasn't bad but the music quality was awful, but I didn't expect it to be.

Summary: It's the best headset I've ever had mainly because I lost all those cheap samsung headsets. The stone design really is stylish and the touch volume is much better than pressing buttons. It's simple to use and quick to power on and pair before you put it your ear. And it works with android so it's a major plus.
I got plenty of typos there. Well for the cord being short, I was saying that luckily the outlet plug is big enough for the stone to sit on top of the plug, but still the cord on both chargers are way too short.
If you're going to use it for media streaming, it's really not ideal. Stick to calls for the most part.

Great design; light; poor fit

Despite problems, a solid win over the original Stone

Summary: Despite it's flaws, this is a solid upgrade from the original Stone. Forget the "claimed" battery life, you'll be lucky to get an hour before the warning comes on. That is the only thing that is truly bad on this headset. The good news is it charges quickly, and the cradle base holds more charges than the original. It has progressed to the point of being a good travel headset, as you can take a few days without charging and still get decent mileage.
The base also has a better battery level indicator, and I have had very few problems getting the headset to stick into the base and charge correctly (this was TERRIBLE on the original stone, having to reinsert the headset muliple times for the headset to stay off and charge properly). The better build quality results in a better fit for everything.
Mic quality won't match the best boom-mic headsets, but then again, you don't have to look like a tool while wearing it either. Audio quality on my side is good, and most the complaints I have had were related to bluetooth interference - re-pairing the headset, fortunately fast and easy on this headset, will resolve this.
The ear fit will come lose while wearing, this is only a problem if you bend over to where the headset can fall off the ear.
The belt clip is a plastic joke, and probably won't last 3 weeks, hopefully you won't lose the entire headset. Jabra will want to charge you $10 for a new clip and another $10 to ship. I ended up jerryrigging one from metal wire that works great.
I can't agree with other reviews on the volume controls; they are fast and reliable for me, every time. Some fat fingers might have trouble with fine-tuning.
It connects well with the iPhone; you can activate voice control from the headset to call or play music, and the Jabra app adds a battery level indicator to the iPhone;s
All in all, as much as I'd like to have better battery life, the convenience, comfort and style are hard to give up. When the phone rings, pop the headset out of the charger, and it will be connected before you even get it up to your ear. Volume is good in all but the noisiest environments, a solid improvement over the original. Don't expect too much out of it for music because of the battery, but the actual performance is totally decent for a mono headset. Since I usually listen while out and about, I will pop the headset into the charger while dealing with a cashier, driving in the car or during a commercial break on the radio, this will keep the headset topped off so I can use it through the entire day in most cases. -
Great fit, otherwise horrible
by terabitman on April 26, 2011
Pros: Fit is the best I've ever had from an earbud. It's discouraging how poor the functionality is.
Cons: Short battery life, never gets even the 2 hours talk time advertised.
Media playback is choppy, cuts out often.
Low battery notification is annoying.Summary: I'm actually quite upset that this headset isn't better. Especially with the $110+ price tag.

The fit is amazing, most headsets drive me nuts. But the operation makes me hate this headset.
My biggest gripe is the annoying "Low battery" notifications. Other headsets have a discrete beep notification, Stone 2 has an annoying voice every 5 minutes that interrupts both incoming audio and cuts off outgoing as well. This goes on for at around 20-30 minutes before the headset actually dies. Wish I could turn the notification off.
Battery life in general is poor. The box advertises 2 hours of talk time from a charge, which is already poor, but I've only ever gotten 1.5 hours out of it (best case), usually it's around 45 min to an hour. What makes this worse is that "standby" time isn't much better. Even when not in use the headset dies after 3-4 hours. I've noticed there's constantly static coming out of the earpiece also.
Voice commands are so-so. Sometimes I have to repeat myself several times to answer or ignore a call. Activating the voice command feature on the phone works fine with a BlackBerry, but I can't get it to work on Android 2.2
Even when paired with a phone that doesn't have A2DP I have the same experience.
I don't have an issue with the volume rocker like others. Maybe it's just a matter of touching it the right way.
Overall very disappointing from a headset that had so much hype
