Jawbone Catch Bluetooth Headset (White) price range: $64.99

The good: The Aliph Jawbone Icon comes in a variety of beautiful jewellike designs; it has a dedicated on/off switch; and it comes with several ear-fit options. It has many advanced features, including an iPhone battery meter, and is highly customizable with certain Audio and Dial "apps" via Jawbone's own MyTalk Web site. It has amazing sound quality and excellent canceling of wind noise.
The bad: The Aliph Jawbone Icon doesn't have a manual volume rocker and the ear fit could be a bit more comfortable.
The bottom line: Not only is the Aliph Jawbone Icon attractive and affordable with great call quality, but it is also highly customizable with advanced features that make it the most innovative Bluetooth headset we've seen to date.

My Favorite Bluetooth yet!
by Mr_Forensic on January 20, 2010
Pros: Great noise reduction. Small and easy to use. Custom fit for my ear. Significantly better than the first generation Jawbone I once owned. The best blue tooth ear piece I've owned. Including the Plantronics Pro.
Cons: The ability to customize is still in Beta.(Don't advertise it if it isn't ready.)
Summary: It's easy to use, it works great and the price is reasonable. So far I prefer it to my Plantronics Pro (which was very good). The size is nice ...
Summary: It's easy to use, it works great and the price is reasonable. So far I prefer it to my Plantronics Pro (which was very good). The size is nice and the fit is far more streamlined then the bulky Plantronics Pro. The noise reduction has been as good or better than the "Pro" as well. I haven't tested it in severe conditions yet, but I just received a call in a noisy room full of people and I could hear the caller just fine and the caller didn't hear the crowd of people or the "Muzak" playing in the room. So I think cnet's review is accurate and I would definitely recommend it.

Summary: I had a Prime which I liked a lot, but I lost it a few months back. So far I like the Icon even better, especially the on/off switch because before I never knew if my headset was on or off and sometimes I would run out of battery. Its also very comfortable, I have only had it for a few days and already on multiple occassions I have caught myself wearing it when I didnt know I was, cause its so comfy I forgot it was there! Overall, its my favorite bluetooth I have ever had, and the people I talk to on it never even ask if I am on a headset.
oh, and I also love to wear pearls, so I am very excited that this new product (the Catch version) resembles a pearl earring!4 out of 4 users found this user opinion helpful.

Good with a few tweaks
by TeaHee on August 5, 2010
Pros: Great sound quality and noise cancellation.
Far better design than previous models.
On/off switch.
Custom voices and applications.
Micro USB charging (I can charge my Icon and my phone with the same adapter - yay!)Cons: Fit - none of the standard attachments provide me with a secure fit.
Battery lifeSummary: With the correct fit, the noise cancelling is second to none. Getting a good fit can be a bit frustrating though. For me, none of the out of the box ...
Summary: With the correct fit, the noise cancelling is second to none. Getting a good fit can be a bit frustrating though. For me, none of the out of the box accessories worked well, and I tried them all. I concluded that I have odd ears, or at least ears that weren't designed for any of the attachments as I ended up either stuffing it into my ear canal and using the over ear hook (which didn't work as the hook now has a pivot so you can't lodge it into place as with the JB2) or using the ear bud with a little loop. Neither setup provided a secure fit and I was feeling a bit disheartened.
Luckily I had some Jabra gels lying about. I'd never managed to get them to work but gave them another try. Glad I did - the fit with these gels is amazing. Aliph should seriously consider packaging something like this as standard. Fits securely and comfortably.
Now the only problem I have is battery life. 4 hours is too short - I would like to see 8 hours as a minimum. That gives you a full day of talk (yes it happens) or the chance to make a few calls one day and to forget to charge it and not be in trouble the next.
Other features are great. Good to be able to hear an approximation of how much talk time remains. Good also to be able to load different apps and stream music, podcasts etc - but again if you are doing that a lot you'll quickly eat up your battery.3 out of 3 users found this user opinion helpful.

I have now owned a dozen bluetooth, this is the best
by ashparkcity1 on February 17, 2010
Pros: Love having an actual on/off switch, and I finally found a Jawbone (my third) that fits right.
Cons: Battery life seems better than my previous bt (Blue Ant Q1, my previous favorite) but still won't last a full day of heavy use.
Summary: I like the voice messaging and sound quality in and out. Best one yet!

Summary: Best headset to date. It can get a little uncomfortable after awhile but the easy on off feature makes that a non issue. Great sound, don't care about the volume controls, call waiting is one click and my phone finally understands my voice commands. Love, Love , Love it. I only wish it had a little longer battery life.

The best of the Aliphs.
by SSGPat on July 26, 2010
Pros: The charger is small which is nice for travel. You can upgrade your firmware on the beta site (which is beta like Google is). You can downgrade your firmware on the beta site. Fits in ear without outside support.
Cons: Doesn't seal the ear with the ear-piece and exterior noise can make it hard to hear. Wind still bothers the microphones, but not as much as past models.
Summary: I really think that this is the best Aliph. I have had the original and the prime prior. The simple on/off switch is a delight. With a firmware upgrade ...
Summary: I really think that this is the best Aliph. I have had the original and the prime prior. The simple on/off switch is a delight. With a firmware upgrade that I have used, I can change the volume and it pretty much stays at that level no matter who calls or how good the connection is.
Could get a little better in windy conditions.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

jawbones has to do a better job on sound and fit
by jtopdawg6 on January 19, 2010
Pros: noise cancellation is great
Cons: the sound in your ear is tiny in loud places. The fit in your ear is terrible.

Summary: I have been using the jawbone since day one because of the noise cancellation, which is mandatory for my line of work (construction). But beyond that its voice is tiny in your ear, what good if they hear you but you cant hear them. second and foremost is the fit. I would have to adjust it all day because the voice sensor would always fall from your jaw and always fall out of your ear hence there goes the sound. I now use the motorola endeavor and have to say it crushes the jawbone with the fit and sound. It fits deep in your ear and stays there all day with comfort. the stealth mode is awesome. i tried to use my jawbone the other and after 5 minutes i took it off and put my motorola endeavor back on. its just no comparision. Aliph do something about the sound and fit because motorola has a much better product on the market now.

Clear sound and easy to use
by Steven Pena on December 29, 2010
Pros: Simple to use and comfortable in ear. Button situated so that its use doesn't require pushing the earpiece further into your ear. Various notifications are spoken in your ear rather than using non-specific beeps.
Cons: Not loud enough in noisy environments.
Summary: One of the best of dozens of bluetooth headsets I've used over the hears.
