The good: The Klipsch Image S4i earphones offer exceptional sound quality for the money. They're also very comfortable and, the package includes a few handy extras such as a storage box and cleaning tool. Plus, there's a call answer button, mic, and iPod playback controls integrated into the cord.
The bad: The cable of the Image S4i earphones is pretty thin and tangle-prone, and the included eartips may not work for everyone.
The bottom line: The Klipsch Image S4i earphones offer up sound quality on par with and better than sets that cost many times as much, and they include compelling extras for iPhone and iPod users.

Sound and clarity of the music is impeccable.

Summary: Other tips for more bass: One tip if you would like more bass than the stock earbuds provide, I recommend you use the equalizer on the stock music app and change it to rock; it kills the battery life, but it makes the bass so much better in my opinion.

Amazing sound, affordable price.
by RazrPSPnanodude on February 20, 2012
Pros: Comfortable fit with a variety of earpieces, simple controls, and amazing sound quality.
Cons: The wire has a tendency to twist, so the buttons are rarely facing the right direction.

Summary: All in all, I couldn't have asked for more from these earbuds. I've never used anything about stock-level earbuds before, but after using these, I'll never be able to go back. The sound quality of the S4i blows the iPhone's stock headphones out of the water, particularly in its fullness. Listening to these sounds much more like you're listening a good set of speakers than it does to any other headphones I've used. Great low, middle, and high range quality with little to no distortion at high volume. Absolutely fantastic product.

Do people give negative reviews just to be contrarian?!

Summary: I really have to thank my kitten for these! I was saving up for the Westone 3s, but Marmalade got hold of my Thinksound Rains and FUBARed them. My spare Sennheisers had conked off too, so I was left earphoneless. And I. Cannot. Be. Earphoneless! I walk home from work everyday - about a 30min walk - and I NEED my music.
I've had these for a few months now, and I stand by my review as far as the sound and fot go. BUT. And this is a HUGE butt. I have to dock a star for the quality. The left earphone has already shorted. I'd rather shell out a few more bucks than have a pair of phones that are duds after a few months.
I would've been quite happy ordering another pair of Thinksounds, but they weren't available in my country (India), and would take a couple of weeks to reach me. I couldn't wait that long. So I did some research on the ones that were available here, and settled on these.
I really, really, really don't understand the negative reviews. Especially the fit issue. Guess it's a matter of individual ear-canal size. But mine *are* odd sized. In most earphones, I find the S too small, but the M too large. In these, the M is absolutely perfect. I walk pretty briskly, and I don't feel much of a shift, and they stay put; don't fall out at all. For the first time ever, I find it very easy to get a perfect seal; I usually struggle for about 5 mins with any other earphone. The conical shape of the buds is genius, IMO.
As for the sound, I cannot believe what I'm hearing. I feel like I'm listening to songs I've listened to a gazillion times before for the very first time. I'm hearing instruments and subtleties and tones I never knew were there.
I also don't get people complaining about the lack of bass. They're either not getting the right seal, or like their bass more coloured. These boom without being muddy or overwhelming. I do find the highs just a tad sharp - but not unbearably so. And that was only immediately after the Thinksounds. After a couple of hours listening, it isn't really bothering me.
And ok, sure, the tin carrying case is ugly, and the build seems to be on the flimsy side, but I'd rather pay the entire $100 for the sound, than have fancy packaging and extras and $40 sound. Those points are just quibbles, IMO.
I'm not a pro or a major audiophile, but I think Marmalade saved me $300-$400, because - scoff if you must - but I don't feel the need for the Westone 3s now. These are a massive upgrade for me, and I don't see any others sounding all that much better to justify shelling out triple / quadruple the price.

I Love These Buds!
by cecejackson on January 9, 2012
Pros: Great sound quality and comfortable fit. I bought these from Amazon for $68, so price was VERY reasonable. My husband has the Bose and I don't think they're worth the extra $$$.
Cons: Rabbits think they are a tasty treat! The minute I started listening to music, our bunny jumped in my lap and began nibbling. Those teeth can go through the wire covering in a split second! Black electrical tape is a life saver.

Best sounding earbuds I have tested so far!!!
by kailuaruggs on January 8, 2012
Pros: Sound quality is great. Bass is good not huge but good enought. I listen to a mixture of rock and rap and it all sounds better than most I have tested. Great mic for incoming calls on the Iphone. Volume buttons work great.
Cons: A little on the expensive side. Very think cord.

Summary: I have only owned these for a few days but am very happy since I have several other earbuds to compare these with. These are sound by far the best. Much better sound isolation than either Dre's beats, or Luda's Soul's... If you are looking for great sounding earbuds that are compatible with the Iphone and can afford them buy these you will be happy...

Best value in earbuds!
by MikeyInTheD on November 27, 2011
Pros: Range of sound, secure fit, zero sound leakage, comfortable for hours, works seamlessly with iPhone 4s
Cons: Cheap, thin cord could wear over time and tangles easy.

Summary: These are the best earbuds on the market at any price! Was looking at other earbuds in the $100-200 range and so glad I went with these. I got them open-box on ebay for $55 shipped. Have powerful bass and great sound along the entire range. I listen to rap, country, metal, and talk radio using these and each genere sounds amazing! Anyone who rates these under 4.5 stars needs to listen to others in this pricerange to get an idea of the sound quality you usually get from a sub-$100 earbud. They could charge $200 for these and they would still be a decent value. If they added a thicker, more dense cord I would pay up to $250 for these things! They blow the iBeats, Diddybeats, Bose IE2, and Monster Turbine out of the water. If you care about sound quality for your dollar buy these. If the ONLY thing you care about is making a fashion statement with your headphones go with the overpriced, unimpressive sound quality from Beats by Dre/Monster products.
I used these my S4i's for about 10 months. They continued to sound amazing but my fears came true. The cord came unattached where it meets the 3.5mm jack. There was about a 1/2 inch of cord exposed and looked like it was starting to fray. I contacted Klipsch customer support but they won't even talk to you unless you produce a receipt from one of there very limited list of authorized retailers (Best Buy is the main one). A pair purchased on Amazon or eBay do not qualify for any customer service support. So I was out of luck and resold them on ebay to recoup some money to buy something else. I used about 10 hours a week and never used them outside, during workouts, or anything that would stress the jack/cord. I would avoid these since there are so many earbuds in the $100-150 pricerange that sounds just as good, don't feel cheap, and have great customer service.
I'm so glad I went with the S4i's to get the built-in 3-button mic and control. Works perfectly with my iPhone 4s to make/answer calls and control apps like tune-in radio app, YouTube app, iPod, and more!

Great sound & fit - hate the cable tangle
by mustyme on September 22, 2011
Pros: Sound, fit in ears

Summary: I love the shape of the ear pieces. These don't hurt after wearing them a while like my V-Modas, the original iPhone earbuds and others do. They look good and the buttons work great for me.
BUT every time I pull them out of my pocket there is a tangle and, unlike my earbuds in the past, the cord feels semi-tacky so pulling the tangle out takes 2-3x as long as other headphones. It helps if I remember to slide up the little rubber piece that holds the buds together, but its still frustrating.
Also, people have a hard time understanding me when using the built in mic on a phone call.
