The good: The Klipsch Image S4i earphones offer exceptional sound quality for the money. They're also very comfortable and, the package includes a few handy extras such as a storage box and cleaning tool. Plus, there's a call answer button, mic, and iPod playback controls integrated into the cord.
The bad: The cable of the Image S4i earphones is pretty thin and tangle-prone, and the included eartips may not work for everyone.
The bottom line: The Klipsch Image S4i earphones offer up sound quality on par with and better than sets that cost many times as much, and they include compelling extras for iPhone and iPod users.

EPIC SOUND FOR THE PRICE, BUT FLIMSY WIRE
by BassMonster316 on September 19, 2011

Summary: the sound quality is just awesome for the price. controlled bass, and crisp midrange, but only has average treble.the only real complaint i have with these headphones are the wire. it is about a mm thick. it tangles like any $2 headphones. there isnt THAT MUCH sound from rubbing the wire. the wire does still have hope as the ends they enter places like the jack (place where most 'phones break) and the heaphones themselves. they include good stuff like 4 sets of eartips, a case, a clip and a carry case either the alloy (or stainless steel) or the material. i got the average material case and i think its great. it uses a metal clip thingy to close it, and a squeeze from either end opens it with one hand. the remote works great as well, but is a little long. the mic on it is great and still pics up youre voice.
i have small ears, and with the smallest eartips i get a GREAT seal, and i can hear almost nothing but the sound. it feels great in ear, and hey wont fall out, even when you actually want to take them out they fall out easily.
overall, i LOVE these headphones and hope to use them for a long time. -
Best in-ear sounding earphones that I have ever owned.

Pros: Bass, Treble and Mid-Range sounds are excellent; Volume/Playback/Mic control unit isvery responsive; Noise cancelling quality is unbelievable.
Cons: Earbud tips may take some time to make adjustments to get rid of the "air-pocket" feel to get the snug, secure noise cancelling fit. Tips may also feel slightly uncomfortable from time to time.

Summary: Simply said, the pros outweigh the cons by a wide margin with respect to my review. I have been using earbud headphones, from the cheap to the expensive since the late 1990's, and I knew that there had to be some buds out there that had the perfect balance in terms of waht I was looking for - straight ahead, but rich sound quality with a truly comfortable fit. Please, please CNET members, at least give these earbuds a try. There is a good chance that you will not be disappointed!

Summary: These things are simply awesome. Going to these from anything inferior with make you want to listen to every song in your collection again to hear everything you've been missing.
They fit my ears so comfortably that they seem to disappear and the seal blocks out an amazing amount of external sound.
The cord is thin and light so they don't tug on earbuds, but it comes at the cost of long term durability. I'm on my second pair now (to be fair my old ones only went out after one of my kids bit into them and exposed the wire...dang kids...can't have nice stuff :) ). They held up just fine though workouts and mowing and yard work, so don't think they are fragile.
I've tried many different styles of earbuds because I tend to be a little picky about sound quality. I've tried the Shure 110's, Beats Tours, stuff from skull candy, Sony, Sennheiser...and nothing has come close to providing the same quality of sound as the Klipsch s4i's. The irony is that these are much less expensive than the Shures and the Beats, and easily outperform them. Talk about a bargain!
If you like in ear headphones, get these. You won't be disappointed. -
Amazing Isolation

Pros: Sound Isolation, sound quality.

I have a pair of Diddy Beats (that are PHENOMENAL!) but the left earbud's sound started to fade, so I had
to sent them back and need something to hold me over while there gone. After much research (thank goodness for google) I found these. I was a little hesitant because of somewhat mixed reviews, but Apple has a program in their store where u can buy them, try them, and if you don't like them you can return them for full price, so i said, why not?
Review:
I was very happily surprised with these. The main the I was looking for was sound Isolation and they are PERFECT! I don't even have to turn it half way up, to block out all other noise. The only their, it's somewhat lacking is base. I listen to ALL different types of music, from ADELE to Fabolous, and the base is good but Diddy Beats are a lot better, but for $50 cheaper, it's a fair compromise.
All in All:
They are definitely worth the money, and are perfect for my original purpose! -
Ehhh, not worth it.
by loungepet on August 4, 2011
Pros: Great fit in my ear canal, very snug and secure. The volume control/remote for the ipod is cool.
Cons: cheap, thin wiring. when exercising, the acoustic sound of the cable bouncing off my chest was audible through the headphones. The microphone for phone calls was unimpressive. speaking was delayed to the users on the other end of the phone.
Summary: I have a pair of sony's that I paid $25 for 3 years ago. When I got the Klipsch pair home, I did a side-by-side comparison, and the sony'...
Summary: I have a pair of sony's that I paid $25 for 3 years ago. When I got the Klipsch pair home, I did a side-by-side comparison, and the sony's won. The bass on the Klipsch was just a tad weaker than the sony's, and the highs were a bit thin compared to the sony's. Other than that, they sounded pretty much the same. So, I returned them to the store and banked $90.

Summary: These headphones offer a great sound for a great price. I use to have the Bose IE headphones but they never quite fit well in my ear. These headphones fit perfectly in my ear and offer the same if not better sound, plus offer the iPhone/iPad controls.
The only negative comment I have is that I find the wire to be too thin. In fact I caught the wire on someone's bag the other day and it ripped the wire exposing the copper wire underneath. I went back to the Apple store and decided to "upgrade" to the Beats ControlTalk headphones instead. After fiddling around with various earpieces to try and find the right fit I found that the Beats weren't going to work. Even though the cord was much more durable, the lack of fit and the fact that the headphones were $70 more for the same sound led me to return the Beats and give the Klipsch another try. So far I've been very happy with the 2nd pair and more careful. They do make a "rugged" pair where the wire is more durable so that might be a better option for those who are a little tougher on their headphones.
Like I said in the title, great sound, great fit, great price! -
Best pair of headphones i had!
by gnomes100 on July 23, 2011
Pros: .Great quality
.Deep bass
.Stylish
.Good warrenty
.Nice mic. and audio buttonsCons: .The only thing i have to complain is the carrying case is a little sad, something of this quality should be stored in a better home then the tin case.

Summary: I speak as a user who has tried on all the Klipsch's competators such as beats and bose, and they dont compair to these headphones. Beats are a joke compaired to these and bose dont give you the same feeling as these sound-cancelation types. To be honost, my first time trying on these headphones got me a little irritated concerning the fitting. but after a couple days of solid use, i learned how to properly place them in my ear and just the sound cancelation alone sets these headphones above the rest. Bottom line, once you put these babies in right and close your eyes and tune up the volume, you will be lost in your own world were quality prevails over the real world around you.

Good sound quality I'm sure, but cheap build
by DaMan05 on July 15, 2011
Pros: I'm sure there's good sound quality. Honestly, I can't really say. I'm not an audiophile and don't listen to much music. I got these primarily for watching video on my MacBook and the occasional audio and phone call on my iPhone.
The sound isolation is deCons: Very cheap build quality. Quite disappointing actually. So disappointing that I'm contemplating returning them. The wire is very thin and tangle prone. The remote is not bad. The wire going into the earbud can be pulled in a out a little bit, making is se

Summary: There seems to be different versions of these buds. I think I remember reading that these buds had an L shaped 3.5mm connector but my pair is straight and long. The set is also supposed to come with an aluminium box, but I got a black pouch.
After using these for a while. I would now give them 2 out of 5 stars. They are extremely cheaply made. I feel embarrassed telling people how much I paid for them. I have to quickly explain that they have good sound quality. Even though I can't tell the difference from most buds.
Even though I got these off Amazon at a much cheaper price of $68, I still feel ripped off for some reason.
Updated on Sep 11, 2011
Klipsch really needs to pick up their game when it comes to build quality. My buds are still all bent from their original tight packaging. The cord is still twisted which keeps the remote always backwards on my chest.
Bottom line: if you feel embarrassed telling someone how much you paid for something, there's a problem. I really need to stop getting influenced by CNET reviews... -
Very good headphones. Tip fitting is CRUCIAL.
by JonHT96 on July 9, 2011
Pros: Great Sound
Great Bass
Comfy :DCons: At first I was pissed cause of no bass, then I got the biggest tip, AMAZING BASS.
Summary: They are what they they say they are. You get what you pay for.
