The good: The LG HBS-700 headset has an unusual but very comfortable behind-the-neck design. It also has good audio quality, especially for music.
The bad: The LG HBS-700 can't support multiconnection and music streaming at the same time, and call quality suffered in noisier environments.
The bottom line: The LG HBS-700 is one of the most comfortable stereo Bluetooth headsets we've ever tried, plus it offers good audio quality at an affordable price.

I purchased this item because I wanted a more discrete Stereo Bluetooth headset. I am generally not fond of ear buds because of the pain and discomfort of wearing them, combined with the buds slipping out of my ears. This headset is not much different, but the advantages of this unit outweighs the shortcomings I have experienced with previous ear buds.
To start the buds are fairly comfortable compared to other ear-buds. There is some minor pain in wearing the ear-buds, but is bearable. The buds tend to slip out so I have to push them back in (minor inconvenience). What is redeeming is that the base response is exceptional for ear-buds. The base is best heard when the buds are fully inserted in the ear. Another nice advantage is that I can wear them discretely while driving. I can keep one bud in my ear for hands free use, either left, or right can be used independently.
The design of the headset is novel and well done overall. The buds have a magnetic base that the buds rest in. Nice idea, but the buds are not held in place very well. The buds slip out of their base easily.
The headset paired easily with my Samsung GS3. There is an optional Bluetooth reader App that can be read and downloaded using the bar code reader on your smartphone to scan the 2D barcode contained in the manual for the headset, or in the Android Market place (Google Play). I only tried this app on my old Samsung Vibrant, which did not work well. I hope to have a better experience on the GS3.
Charging time is short (around 2Hrs) and has a decent time of use on a full charge (10Hrs).
Despite the short comings I mentioned in my review, I highly recommend this headset. -

One significant flaw for otherwise fantastic product.
by brecklundin on August 9, 2012
Pros: Lightweight, comfy, seems durable, LOOOOOONG battery life, can be worn while sleeping, multi-point pairing
Cons: Issues pairing mic (whatever that means in BT lingo) for video/voice chat on Asus Transformer tablets (I have the TF300t) & others with different models have the same issue, still trying to resolve

Summary: Have to give this otherwise fantastic headset only 3-stars. Why? Because it apparently cannot pair with he entire family of Asus Transformer tablets produced to date. I have a TF300t, others with TF201 & TF101 devices report the same issue. We can pair just fine for audio as well as multi-point with a phone and tablet. But when you want to make use of video or any sort of voice chat the LG HBS-700's mic is not active only the on-board mic for the tablet. The tablet mic is, well to be kind, not excellent...ok it kinda sucks hard.
The ability to use a HEADSET (as in not simple headphones) was why i chose the HBS-700 set. And in every way save the mic issue it truly is exactly what I want in a headset...except for me it functions only as a pair of headphones...in other words I get only 50% of the functionality I promised.
I flat do not care who is to blame here. Don't care if it's LG or Asus but someone needs to either fix their end or those two multi-billion-dollar companies need to solve this widespread issue for us poor peons. ;) If fixed it's a 10+ headset...
One great positive I have to share is it is the perfect headset/headphones to wear for sleeping. I don't even notice them on if I fall asleep or need an audiobook on to block out background noise...so danged comfy to wear... -

Summary: I bought this headset to pair with my LG Connect. Friends told me that the call quality on the phone wasn't very good. Call quality is MUCH improved over the headset. Since I wear glasses, the over the ear style headset never worked well for me. I haven't yet used the headset to listen to music, but I expect to be slightly disappointed. Most music I've heard over bluetooth hasn't been very good. Still, I didn't get them for their audiophile quality. For what I need, this headset is fabulous, and if music sounds decent over the headset, that's a bonus.

Pros: Vibrating feature when phone rings. Water proof. Long batery life even while playing music. No looding ur bluetooth because it feel out of ur ear. All 1 piece. Teenagers love it.
Cons: It's soooo comfortable, u forget ur wearing it and when it vibrates to incomming calls....it scares u.

Best so far!
by CoZmicShReddeR on April 4, 2012
Pros: No bulky parts behind your ear or dangling from your ears.. They go deep inside your ears so you get 90% better noise cancellation and they won't fall out or pop out like the Motorola branded Stereo Bluetooth Ear bud style headsets...
Cons: Nothing yet...
Summary: All the other wireless headsets would pop out from my ears but these have no weight yanking on them or and crap that makes your ears stick out like Dumbo ...

Pros: Unbelievably light, maneuverability is so pro, magnetic earbuds are genius, comfortable.
Cons: Sound quality is meh, but this one con doesn't hold a candle to the pros!

Summary: Just...wow! I was so blown away by this headset. I bought it thinking it would be just another mundane piece of necessary mobile equipment that I'd use but not really love. I am so blown away, though. I am actually excited about it instead of bored with it like I thought I'd be! I can't wait to put it back on every time I take it off. The design is just so well-thought-out. I can't remember the last time I appreciated a product design as much as I appreciate this one. Man oh man am I ever pleased.

the worst headphones I have ever used
by autodoors on February 22, 2012
Pros: Comfortable, fast syncing, easy controls
Cons: with a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx - extremely poor audio, volume level too low to use when working out or just about anything. LG tech support did not have a clue. I paid Newegg a 15% restock and I had to pay return shipping for a defective product.
Summary: I tried regular cheapie earbuds and they were much better volume and average audio. I reverted to my Motorola S9 bluetooth headset and audio & volume were spectacular. The S9s ...

Excellent headset. Convenient, lightweight.
by xmdp on February 2, 2012
Pros: Great sound quality
Easy to use
Comfortable
Solves the 'flashing ear' lookCons: I don't like when it vibrates but I've always found that feature on any device to be annoying.
Summary: Easily the best bluetooth headset I've ever owned. I'd recommend this to my grandmother.
I'd give it 5 stars if not for the vibrating issue.Summary: Easily the best bluetooth headset I've ever owned. I'd recommend this to my grandmother.

Summary: I was wearing it with a bulky sweatshirt and my wife said the call quality on her end was good (I was in WalMart, day after Christmas - very noisy). The call quality for me was excellent with volume at @ 50%, again in WalMart. The bluetooth voice dialer works better than using it on my phone (HTC Incredible) even wearing the same bulky sweatshirt. The bluetooth connectivity works as advertised, reconnects after being turned off, if listening to music and a call comes in, it vibrates with a tone, touch the call button, talk and touch again to hang up - the music starts where it left off.
I'm not an audiophile but I think the audio is as good as any other earbud headset I've used.
