Motorola Elite Sliver Bluetooth Headset price range: $41.95 - $129.99

The good: The Motorola Elite Sliver has excellent audio quality, noise cancellation, and an ultracompact size. The battery charger case helps it stand out from the Bluetooth headset pack.
The bad: The Elite Sliver's ear placement is tricky for eyeglass wearers. NFC pairing is a no-go, and the tiny volume key is awkward to operate.
The bottom line: While its fit could be snugger and NFC pairing is a pipe dream for now, Motorola Elite Sliver's advanced features and battery pack travel case will please all but the pickiest Bluetooth users.

Not good with iPhone 4S. Volume is always Max
by avg_guy on May 28, 2012
Pros: Size, Fit, battery life
Case will extend battery life
Once connected in a call its awesome sounds as good as speaking directly on the iPhone 4SCons: Case - You cant charge the receiver with out it - non standard connector on the bluetooth device itself.
Volume control - non existent. Every time the unit is turned on the volume is set to Maximum
Interface to Siri - Volume is not controllable.Summary: I want this unit to work so bad. It fits my ear. I've tried Blue Ant and Jawbone. Neither work for me as they do not fit in my ...

Poorly made and NO WARRANTY SUPPORT.
by rlsperberg on April 25, 2012
Pros: When it works, its ok, except that pushing the answer button often pushes the device off the ear.
Cons: It is poorly made and falls apart at the seam where the rubber neck meets the plastic receiver. Mine only lasted two months. Motorola refuses to own up to their poor workmanship and instead deny warranty coverage because they say it's "broken."
Summary: Don't waste your money on a poorly made product.

Ludicrous.
by whotookmyusername on February 28, 2012
Pros: Tells you how much talk time you have when you turn it on.
Cons: Bulky fit, finicky buttons, lousy volume control.

Summary: This thing has a super-cool charging case, but that's the best part, unfortunately. It's bulky behind my ear, and I can't wear it at the same time as my sunglasses. The volume/mute "smart" button is tiny and doesn't offer enough control. Touching either of the buttons knocks the thing off my ear - it takes a whole-hand effort to hold it in place and push the button. Very hard to get sufficient volume to hear clearly in a slightly noisy environment (e.g. my Prius). I'm constantly inadvertently muting the thing when I'm trying to make it louder. People on the receiving end report voice distortion. It's a cool-looking device, but completely unusable for me. (And note: it's cool-looking in your hand; on your ear, it makes you look like Prince Charles.)

Awful.Dont waste your money.
by irish1973 on March 16, 2013

Cons: Pretty much all the features it advertised on the box do not work.

Summary: Terrible sound quality. I paired this with 2 phones seemed ok for about 2 days but now will not stay connected to either phone. Poor design, you knock it out of place trying to answer it. When its connected (which is rarely) the sound quality is very poor. The noise cancellation is non existent. This piece of useless junk is going back to the store. Back to jawbone for me.

High hopes dashed. Great concept - terrible execution.
by phowe43 on March 15, 2013
Pros: Fits nice. Not intrusive.
Cons: Callers report that they can't hear me; I sound like I'm in a fishbowl; Too much background noise or interference.
Summary: Great concept but needs a lot of work. My bad...I should have waited until it was tested more.

Great, except for On/Off switch
by scholzegs on December 22, 2012
Pros: Comfortable, small, nice volume and the charge last pretty long .
Cons: Needs to have a differently designed on/off switch. I've gone through 2 now that had the same on/off problem "mine stays on even in case" The switch fails in 3-4 weeks.
Summary: If I had to actually buy another one, it would not be this one. Very high priced. I thought I would splurge and get a high end blue tooth. Quality ...

Summary: I really love the idea and the design but the execution of the idea seems to be very poor. I have got to say that the audio driver is killer but what is it good for if the sliver is useless. I have used the Sliver for two months and now I cannot pair it with anything. When I turn the headset off I can still hear the voice prompts meaning that it remains on and even in the charger keeps telling me that it is ready to pair. Also, there is no option to control the level of the built in voice prompt, which makes it very annoying at times. Reset does not work, which asks for implementation of the hardware based reset, the little reset hole. The last thing that made my experience a little less pleasant is that the headset cannot be upgraded with firmware, which should be a must feature for a device like this. I chatted with the tech and nothing got resolved. I am returning the Sliver. Now even worse to the case, I wanted to leave a negative review on the Motorola website and Motorola does not let me post it. That says it all about the company.

Drops calls
Pros: Clear and compact size
Cons: Very diffficult to install in ear and worse if you wear eye glasses; only came with one ear bud. My came up missing and difficult to order.
Summary: Although I like the small size I will stick with Voyager pro.

Does not work with iPhone 4S. Volume is always at MAX.
by baculum1 on July 7, 2012
Pros: Fairly comfortable.
Cons: Not usable due to MAX volume always, even when the headset is set to lowest volume, and phone is set to lowest volume.
Only use this headset if 1) you want to become deaf, or 2) you already are deaf.Summary: Do not buy this if you have an iPhone. I suspect this issue is of little interest to Motorola since being bought by Google.

Pretty much the best bluetooth headset I have owned.
by BiggDeuce on June 4, 2012
Pros: Pairing with iphone easy, able to utilize voice recognition for dialing (other headsets were unable to get the name correctly). People on the other end of the line, can actually hear me during a conversation, and just general ease of use.
Cons: Hard to wear with sunglasses

Summary: I was looking to purchase a new headset to upgrade from my Jabra, I wanted to return to BlueAnt, but they haven't come out with any new devices in a while. So I was going to buy the new Plantronics device, but was stopped by a customer service person who explained to me that he just bought this headset and was very impressed with it. Usually I am not a motorola fan, but I decided to take the chance and I bought the headset and have not regretted it since.
