The good: The Motorola H790 is slim, easy to use, and has multipoint technology. We also like the power slider and the comfortable fit in the ear. It has good call quality as well.
The bad: The Motorola H790's call button is a little hard to press, and the buttons might be too skinny for some to easily press.
The bottom line: The Motorola H790 is an attractive and affordable headset with good sound quality.

So far, so good........

Pros: Great price, great sound quality & easy to use

Summary: I tried the Blue Ant V1, Plantronics Discovery 975, and a Samsung WEP350 (all three went back for various reasons) before I tried this one which is obviously priced in the middle of the pack here. I have zero complaints from people on the end of the line about sound quality while talking to them and I hear everyone crystal clear. I am in outside sales so I only wear it in the office and in the car. I take it off before entering a customer's office and the power switch is an actual sliding switch so I can easily tell if it's on or off which has been great. My only complaint is the fit. I don't have small ears but I guess they are smaller than average. I am using the smallest ear piece but it still leaves my ear a little tender at the end of the day. The good news is I have found that I can keep it in my ear without using the cheap & ackward plastic ear hook so I took it off altogether. Overall, it has great sound quality coming & going and is easy to use. Best of all the price is reasonable.

Power button is budged - it's sticky.

Cons: Power button is budged after a 3 month use.

Very lightweight, and thin
by Renegade.Rivers on August 2, 2011
Pros: Short charging time, easily connected with voice prompts, able to connect two phones, good talk times, and standby times. Attractive look, lightweight and thin. Good noise canceling even in windy conditions.
Cons: A bit pricey, but can be found at a reasonable price.
Summary: I am using this with a Motorola Milestone X on Alltel, and it works great. Very easy to connect.

Pitiful fit for such a promising device.
by Snake Plissken on June 20, 2011
Pros: Call quality is very good. Multipoint connection is very good. Buttons work well enough.
Cons: Out of the entire array of ear hole adapter pieces included with this device, I have yet to find one that holds the earpiece in a consistent position. Thanks to trial and error, I now have lost all but one adapter piece. Part of the problem is the one-s

Nice, but...
by techNOno on December 3, 2010
Pros: Size, styling, clarity, two phone pairing.
Cons: After only 4 months of use the call button is no longer functioning. I am not a constatnt user of the this earpiece and it seems to me that the button should still function after 4 months of light use.
Summary: It does not matter how clear the sound, how pretty the product, if it stops working after a short period of time it's not worth it.

Disappointing. Did not live up to expectations.
by urbanimage5 on October 5, 2010
Pros: Compact, easy to pair with phone.
Cons: Battery life has been poor. Earloop is sized for tiny ears - useless. With rubber ring, it sort of fits but falls out a lot.
Summary: A product that fits poorly and has mediocre battery life just doesn't work for me.

This is the best BT headset I 've ever use

Summary: Buy it. You won't be disappointed. I lost my Plantronics, and I'm glad I did. The Motorola is better in EVERY way, and I did not have a cheap Plantonics. Can I say that on the air? I have limited experience with bluetooth headsets, but I spent about $80 on the plantronics and $70 on the Motorola, and the Motorola is way better. Least of which is call quality. Not all staticy like aforementioned. Fits great, MUCH more comfortable. Superior setup, controls, software, fit, (fit is big), etc. And super thin. Great product! Works great with my Motorola Droid! Any Questions?
And no, I'm not a Motorola employee or contractor in any way.

Great call quality at a nice price

Summary: After a few months with my H790 I would recommend it to anyone in need of a new Bluetooth headset. The call quality is very good on both ends without relying on overly expensive technology found in other headsets. I have it paired with my Motorola Droid and have no problem hearing the person on the other end of the line. I haven't heard complaints from the other end of the line, either. With my last headset it was evident I was using a headset in my car, but the same hasn't been true of the H790.
*Update
The slim and light design is very easy to live with, but it took me a while to find an earpiece I liked. I've found that the volume and call buttons are easy to use, and I really like having a power switch, rather than using the call button to turn the headset on and off.
It was very easy to pair this headset with my Droid and my laptop, and I haven't had to reset the pairing since the initial pairing.
The H790 can be used on either ear but it was really set up for use on the right ear due to the placement of the power switch and volume buttons.
I can't say how well voice controls work through this headset but I'll post an update after I install Android 2.2 on my phone.
Overall the Motorola H790 is a solid headset with a simple design and great call quality, especially at a price of $50 or less.
Updated on Oct 15, 2010
Voice dialing through the H790 is easy to use and has been as accurate as using the voice dial on my phone without a headset.
I usually get several hours of talk time out of a charge but I really only use it while I'm driving, so battery life hasn't really been an issue for me. I plug it into my car to charge every few weeks and I'm set.
