Gets the job done well

Summary: Have had this phone for about 2 months now. Bought through Best Buy, and figured, return w/in 30 days if unsatisfied. Used it in many Bay Area and Norcal/SoCal locations, and people on the other line had a hard time realizing I was on a BT headset. Decided to keep this, as it works well w/my Nokia 6682 and wife's Nokia 6230.

Great features and ease of use aside, the feedback is horrible

Summary: First off, this headset is well designed and super-easy to use with my Razr V3. You can answer calls, do 3-way calling, adjust the orientation and function of the buttons, and more with a couple of button pushes. As far as features go, this thing is great, BUT on my unit there is a echo effect [no matter how you move the unit; close to cheek or away] that really drives people crazy! I only use it while im driving for safety now. Maybe I got a bad unit, but I hear this has been a problem on some other Motorola units. I’m going to buy a headset. It’s a shame I love the design, features, and price of this one.

Much more attractive than functional

Summary: I replaced my cell phone with a Razor and began the search for a new headset. I first got the Motorola 500 from the Verizon store - listeners could not hear or understand me. I read reviews and ordered an Anycom HS890 which went into sleep mode after 2 min and had trouble reconnecting. The sound quality on both sides was ok. My next purchase was the Motorola H3 - I had trouble hearing to the point I was holding it against my ear while talking and the sound to others was reported to me as "tinny" and "echoing". I now have the Plantronics 640 Discovery - so far I can hear callers and they can hear and understand me. It connects easily with the phone and stays connected.

Easy/simple to use, but low volume is a HUGE problem

Summary: I used the H3 for about a week and had to return it. It works great in a quiet office environment, but is almost unuseable in a car while traveling on a highway. I had it paired with my Motorola Q and turned the volume all the way up on both my headset and on the phone, but to no avail. I had to hold my finger against the headset and ask the caller to repeat themselves...not exactly the best thing to do while driving. It's a shame because I really liked the headset, but the lack of volume was a deal breaker.

Summary: This headset pairs flawlessly with my Razr (I have the t-mobile Razr V3). People have no trouble hearing me in all situations. I wish that the volume could go up higher so I could hear better when driving with the top down but people have no trouble hearing me. I recommend this if you have the Razr and want a lightweight, affordable BT headset that looks great and pairs well with the Razr.

My callers have complained about an echo and feedback on their end. I have tryed keeping the phone and unit on the same side of my body, but that hasn't stopped the echos. Also, I find the volume on this to be too low. And I agree w/cNets review that the volume buttons are too small.
For now I am using this only when I drive due to local laws.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Great little item

Voice-recognition dialing (I a Razr V3) is awesome! I could never get my old Nokia's voice-calling feature to work properly unless I was in a sound-proof booth.
People on the other end say that it sounds like I'm talking to them on speakerphone, but that is their only complaint. The 10 metre (33 ft) connection perameters worked fine, but I only use it in the car.
Coupled with the fact that a big box store matched & beat an online store for price ($59.99CAN down from $99.99CAN), I'm elated!1 out of 1 users found this user opinion helpful.

When used with the i605, it's an excellent headset, with simple controls that make it super-simple to receive & end calls, as well as to call back the last incoming caller.
CNET's complaint about volume controls is a non-issue. The controls work very well, and there are no problems that I experienced of any sort with this headset. It's a winner!
