Summary: I received the S9-HD headphone as a birthday present. I liked them very much. Unfortunately, they had a known problem where the right speaker will cut out for no reason. I replaced one pair, but the replacement did the same thing and I could not get another replacement. So I hesitated, but ultimately gave Motorola another chance and bought the S10-HD. I'm glad I did.
I do not use these with a cellphone, but only with my iMac and iPod Touch. The sound quality is very good. The base is strong and the highs are good, though sometimes there can be sound distortion. Fiddling with the equalizer settings usually takes care of this problem.
The range of the bluetooth is a VAST improvement over the S9-HD. The S9 required putting my Touch in an armband so that it would stay in range of the headset's signal. Even then, it was not perfect. I usually wore the armband on my left arm -- sometimes, when I turned my head to the left, so that the base of the S9 turned away from my Touch, the signal would drop off. The S10 does not have this problem. I don't need an armband at all. I can easily keep my Touch in my front pants pocket, where it normally sits, and the S10 virtually never loses the signal, walking, running, riding BART. It just works. Similarly, if I'm paired with my iMac, I can roam around a good deal of the house and never lose a signal, even through walls.
The S10-HD feels a bit more comfortable to wear than the S9-HD did, though it's still a bit tight. I think it's slowly breaking in as I wear it more. The only problem is that it's still a challenge wearing the headphones and my reading glasses at the same time. Sunglasses don't appear to be as bad a problem.
If this performance continues, I can highly recommend these headphones. They look good, feel OK, and sound very good. I'll wait a few months to see if the channel drop-out problem returns.2 out of 2 users found this user opinion helpful.

Awesome Bluetooth headset, great!
by tds47369 on May 31, 2011
Pros: It's wireless, sweatproof, and it fits perfectly on my head and in my ears. I found one of the four earbuds that fit just right. The headset was also very easy to set up for someone who might not be so familiar with Bluetooth products. I thought my mus
Cons: The only con I could find was the volume control. I wish I could have made the volume a little bit louder in the headset. While watching a movie on my flight, the noise from the jet engines was a little too loud. I couldn't hear the voices in the movie

by di5gu5tipated on June 18, 2012
Pros: sound quality can be modified with various ear buds provided, 7 hour continuous play(streamed music) battery life, durability
Cons: phone conversation quality is terribad, earbuds come off easilly but i just superglued my favorite one and stuck with it

Summary: I've owned this headset for the past year and a half. All of the negative reviews Ive read about this headset since then have pretty much been proven as false. The people dont take the time to sample off of what the headset has to offer. the ones that say the sound quality is horrible did not try the large round bulbous earbuds. they create a depth to the sound which creates bass and great highs, it also seals around the ear and blocks out the most distracting office commotion and keeps you focused while at the gym.
after about 6 months of heavy sweaty usage I did have to superglue the white pads back to the headset as the glue had started to melt and the pads came off. a year and a half later if i would have superglued the plastic around the back neck piece this headset would have remained operational, alas my acidic sweat got down into the power button and it no longer works. I am headed to newegg now to get a new replacement of this exact same model as this is the best headset ive used. -

Awesome bluetooth headset
by RIVAS001 on August 27, 2011
Pros: Great fit, especially for someone who is active, sounds is awesome, love the design (always have with this model) and it looks like they got a lot more right.
Cons: I really couldn't think of any, especially in comparison with some of the other stereo bluetooth headsets that I've had, although the bass could be a little...umm..."bassier".
Summary: If you have an active lifestyle, ride bikes, segways, or just want a really good headset, take this for a test drive. In comparison to other bluetooth headset (the other ...

Had to replace twice in 4 months!
by madenton on August 23, 2011
Pros: They were easy to connect.
Cons: I bought these in April and loved them until they stopped working in June. Motorola replaced them in June (it takes two days to get the Return Authorization email which you need before returning the broken ones, and then it takes a week to get the replace

Summary: I was hesitant to get these at first because of two of the reviews on this site. I went ahead and got them after two sets of Rocketfish headphones went bad. Best Buy then offered to let me upgrade to these (of course I had to pay the difference in $$).
I found the sound quality to be real good. I do wish some of the bass sounds went a little deeper but overall they have a very good sound quality. The volume could do with one or two notches louder but it is acceptable.
The weight of this is not an issue. I don't find them heavy as someone else mentioned. I did find that switching from the originally installed ear buds to another set that was included worked better for me.
The battery life is very very good. I have listened to music and made phone calls all day long and never had the headset die on me. It also charges to full pretty quickly.
I would definitely recommend this headset. I have been very happy with it. -
Neat Design but the HEAVY weight was painful on my ears
by chringram on May 5, 2011
Pros: It was an easy connect to my blackberry via the Bluetooth
Cons: HEAVY, couldn't find decent fit on ears, got slight headache wearing this damn thing... gonna return it for a pair of iPod headphones with a mike.
