Plantronics Puts An End To My Frustration

Summary: After Direct TV destroyed my Motorola HS850 by crushing it with my dresser I finally had an excuse to upgrade my bluetooth headset. I was never truly satisfied with the HS850 so I was excited when I found the "upgraded" H700 Motorola that Costco was offering. After my second purchase and tech calls to Motorola I finally gave up. I just don't have the patients to answer yes to pair my new H700 every time it would decide to disconnect for no apparent reason. It would disconnect every 10 to 20 minutes. Radio shack low balled me into there local store where I found the Plantronic 330A. I charged the new unit with the included car charger for about 30 minutes and paired it with my Samsung T619 without having to code the 0000 that the H700 had me doing ever two minutes to two hours. I soon became very satisfied with the 330A and the simple yet very functional way it works. The fact that I was able to keep an extra 20.00 bucks in my pocket was also a plus. The volume is superb and much easier to use then the Motorola HS800 and H700. After speaking to two fellow users that own Motorola phones and the series of the same folding boom mic headsets I had problems with they simply stated they have learned to live with the disconnection of there Motorola headsets that would not stay linked with the H700. This user likes things to work the way they are suppose to and the Plantronic 330A seems to be doing the job with no problems.

Great headset and easy to use
by jrock83 on March 23, 2007

Summary: This is a very good bluetooth headset that comes at a decent price and is comfortable sitting on your ear. The loop adjusts and is very flexible. The first time I put it on, I didn't do it right and was thinking "wow this hurts". Idiot: I had it on the wrong way. The instructions don't draw very good diagrams but all you need to know is the image displayed here on cnet is how it sits on your ear. The instructions were a little counter-intuitive and showed the model/dummy pulling the loop to the side then flipping the unit into the ear but I've found it's just easier to pull the end of the loop behind my ear and the unit sits perfectly then. People say they can't tell any difference when I talk through this to when I talk through my cell phone and once I put it on correctly, I didn't even notice it was there. The volume goes VERY loud and it is easy to answer calls but just slightly pushing the call/answer button. Volume is easy to adjust by sliding the button up or down and overall, this is a very good bluetooth headset that you should highly consider.

Summary: I HAVE A SANYO M1 AND THIS BLUETOOTH WORKS PERFECTLY WITH IT. IT KEEPS IT'S RECEPTION EVERYWHERE.WHEN I FIRST STARTED TO USE IT, I COULD HEAR POPING SOUNDS. NOW, AFTER A COUPLE OF USES, THE POPS ARE GONE. THE BEST THING ABOUT THIS HEADSET--YOU DON'T HAVE TO YELL FOR THE OTHER PERSON TO HEAR YOU. I HAD A MOTOROLA H550 AND IT STUNK. BAD RECEPTION, HURT MY EARS, WOBBLED ON MY EAR, AND I HAD TO YELL FOR THE OTHER PERSON TO HEAR ME. THE 330A CAME WITH EVERYTHING- CAR CHARGER, HOME CHARGER, AND VEHICLE CLIP. THE PRICE WAS EXPENSIVE AT RADIO SHACK AND THEY DON'T PRICE MATCH- TRY TARGET.

Summary: This headset was easy to pair taking less than a minute. My conversations using the 330 have been very clear on both ends. Didn't take long to get use to attaching to ear and found it very comfortable. The range isn't quite what was stated by Plantronics. There could be many factors affecting this. I'm very happy with the Explorer and recommend purchasing it.

Summary: I have used many headsets and have settled on this on. People seem to hear me better and people sound excellent in my ear. It's an upgrade to the 320 which I still have and is still working after three year's. This one seems to have quicker software when connecting and prompting for voice commands, also reconnects on its own if you go outside or something. Very durable and comfortable.

Summary: I purchased this after returning the very dissapointing Motorola H350. After a couple days of use, I am very pleased. The sound qaulity is great in both directions (which is the main reason I returned the H350), and it is extremely light and comfortable. I had one instance of the signal dropping, but that may have just been an anamoly. Aside from that...it works like a charm.

Not the best one on the market
by jojogal on March 27, 2007

Summary: I have tried several headsets, and used this particular one for a few months. I noticed a LOT of crackling, (static) in my conversations, even with the phone in my hand or sitting on the table next to me. As soon as I walked away from the phone, it would get so staticy no one could understand me, and this product claims you can be 30 feet away. 10 feet away is too far. Some of the features it claims to have don't seem to work at all. I did not know how unsatisfactory this item was until I purchased a different brand, and the difference between the two is incredible. Never again will I used this headset.

Great bluetooth at a very reasonable price.

Summary: This is my first bluetooth set, and I'm very pleased with it. It has a very simple and elegant design. Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Good secure fit too. The pairing process was simple and fast. My only complaint, albeit a minor one, is that I wish the volume could go a little higher. But other than that, this is a great headset. Especially if you don't want to spend a lot for bluetooth. Also, people have told me that the sound quality is excellent. I really couldn't ask for much more than what this product offers.

Summary: I purchased an attractive pink one to go with my new Samsung Instinct and it's lovely. I've had no problems hearing calls and vice versa. I forgot I had it in my ear today until I put my sunglasses on and felt it there. Plantronics 330 is THAT comfortable. Easy to use ~ I learned it within minutes of opening the package. Great value for the $.
