  Summary: The program promises a lot more thanit can deliver. The function is not intuitive at all. You spend half your time making walls straight. There is no basement function -- they tell you to make the basement the first floor and raise the level of the gorund outside but you can only do so with a serious of lumpy hills -- ridiculous. Even with a good processor and video card, the 3-D effects are very slow and cumbersome. This is not easy to use. The furniture workshop is OK if you have an interest or talent in pretty advanced CAD-like programs. The "plant growth" tool does not work at all and their selection of plants is dismal, and furniture and texture designs horrible. Overall, a very cumbersome program. Homedesigner is superior.

  Can't Print Designs and No Tech Support

  Summary: Several problems with the software: 1 - Cannot print designs. Win98 returns a Prtmgr error message. 2 - Tried sending emails to tech support - no reponse. Tried calling fee based tech support via 800# - computer answers the phone and immediately disconnects you. 3 - ghost walls appear in designs. 4 - cannot edit text once you add it to a design (you can change font size and type only.)
