Cool device

Summary: I bought this on Amazon for a great price. It worked great straight out the box clear FM reception and the recording was clear. The voice recorder was ok, but I didn't buy it for making voice memos but it may come in handy one day. I live in the Chicago area so our FM stations have good frequencies here including College radio. The only draw back to this thing is the two cords hanging from the remote is so ugly to have dangling from your jacket. Plus the cord that connects to the ipod is cheap and will come apart. Some other people reported this on Amazon so I did what they did & just crazy glued it back. So far it still works great will recommend to and major urban area.

Summary: the griffin ifm is the worst fm reciver/recorder that i have ever used. The fm sounds ok but the recorder is where the ifm really sucks. I owned a dell before the ipod and had a fm reciver. the dell recording sound quality was excelent. this recorder sounded like a voice recorder but only fm. lots of crackling
