  This product is well designed, but not flawless.

  Pros: Nice size, big enough to be easily seen, but small enough to be hidden as well. Has a great wireless range and can pick up signals through walls. It performs as advertized and seems very well built. AC power means it never needs batteries.

  Cons: Bluetooth audio quality just cannot match up to a wired connection. The device is limited by bluetooth itself. Music sounds muddy, low tones are weak while high tones sound digital and muted. $40 is just too expensive for casual use.

  Summary: The idea is great! And I wished that it was perfect. But if you're planning on using this device to wirelesly DJ a party with your phone (like I was) and you would like to impress your friends (maybe with a terrific audio system and awesome music taste/selection) you should probably find a different solution.
  
  I'm so disappointed. I've tried several different products like this; Belkin has a smaller one with the same features. They all cost around $40 and would have made a great feature in my audio system. But with every model, when you turn the volume up and listen carefully there is a definite quality issue. I had to return every one and have resorted to other methods of DJing parties.

  Great way to add Bluetooth streaming to a receiver

  Convenient

  Summary: REASON FOR PURCHASE
  
  I purchased this because I wanted to have a non-proprietary way to pass around the "DJ" responsibilities for a group beach house of about 15 people. Not everyone has iOS devices (although most do), so AirPlay and Apple TV was out. I had a 10ft 1/8" cable, but that meant someone was losing their phone or tablet while giving it up to play music.
  
  SETUP
  
  Enter the Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter. It was set up in about 2 minutes to the AUX RCA jack on our Panasonic receiver (5.1 hard-wired 600 watt system) via the included cable. Pairing is as easy as pressing the "Connect" button on the top of the unit and then selecting t from the Bluetooth menu of your device. We've connected to iPhone 3GS, 4, and 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3rd Gen, Samsung Galaxy 2, HTC EVO, and even a Toshiba laptop without issue.
  
  SOUNDS
  
  Once paired, you simply play from whatever app you'd like to. I've personally used Rhapsody, Pandora, and the iPod app on my iPhone4 and iPad 3rd Gen. Whatever comes out of the device comes out of the speakers via the wireless adapter. You also get volume control from your device, which was a nice surprise.
  
  While the sound quality isn't exactly the same as a wired connection, I haven't noticed that much of a difference. The sound is a little more compressed and flattened out, but only if you're REALLY paying attention to the nuances. I tweaked the EQ for the AUX input a little (backed off the lowest bass and the highest treble just a tad) but and it sounds just as good to me as a wired connection. The system I'm using this on is a $325-ish Panasonic HTIB, so we're not exactly running high-end gear here. Take that into account when I'm recounting audio quality, but realize that I'm also not a newbie and would have returned the thing if the sound was bad.
  
  RANGE
  
  The range is the only reason where I docked a star. Yes, you can get 30+ feet out of this unit, but I noticed the sound starts hitching and occasionally cutting out when you get past about 22-23 feet. That is certainly an acceptable range (and is better than I've witnessed with a similar Belkin adapter). Still, an added 10 feet of range would have gotten this device 5 starts.
  
  CONCLUSION
  
  If you want to add wireless streaming to a sound system or set of powered speakers easily and inexpensively, this is your device. It doesn't do much, but what it does do, it does well.

  Excellent, thinking about another for another receiver.

  Pros: Inexpensive, decent sound quality.
  
  Breathes new life into components I already own.

  Cons: None - don't understand the "bad" comment.
  
  Ideally would like to see bluetooth incorporated into audio receiver but haven't seen many (any) of these yet.
