The good: Compact system has integrated progressive-scan DVD player, AM/FM tuner, two satellite speakers, and subwoofer; delivers simulated surround-sound effects without rear speakers; easy to set up and use.
The bad: Expensive; no HDMI output; only one A/V input; proprietary cables limit speaker-placement options; lackluster sound with music.
The bottom line: The Bose 3-2-1 Series II DVD system does a surprisingly good surround-sound imitation with just two satellites, but it's overpriced.

Pros: Its a very dependable,no fuss system that sounds great with your ipod cd ans dvd ,ok its expensive,and there are a lot of bose knockers out there ! they have there reasons,but i digress ,as i have said,i have had my 321 since 2004 and its never let me dow

Pros: Everything it is so easy to set up and sounds spectular.
Cons: There is nothing that I do not like. My wife probably does not like the amount of time I spend listening to it. Even my wife admits the sound is remarkable.
Summary: Incredible system. If you shop you can locate a better price. Try COSCO, Sam's Club or BJ when they have a promotion sale.

Summary: Its a compact system ,only 2 speakers and a bass box that produce a big sound .Its not really what I would call surround sound but it is a big full sound. The volume and clarity surpass other in a box systems but it doesnt have the surround effect of other multispeaker systems.
I have another system in my house (seperate components) and the surround effect is much better .....however that system has several speakers ,wires and enough buttons ,dials and toggle switches and digital clocks flashing 12:00 to overwhelm a person. The room I use the bose in i keep sparse with electronics.....A 32" flat panel lcd tv and the bose system .
For a room you dont want dedicated as an electronic wonderland full of speakers wires and led displays the bose is perfect...its low profile . Listen to the music...watch the movie ....not look at all the electronic plumbing . Its an alternative. -

Great sound, compact and easy to set up

Pros: Great sound without having to run cables everywhere and constantly tweak things. Mine did have the disc reading error. Bose tech support sent me a DVD (free) which updated the firmware and the disc reading error went away. It has been flawless since.
Cons: HDMI would have been nice but made it work with the optical cable and RGB. Maybe not top of the line but not enslaved by bluray or any of that higher end nonsense anyway.
Summary: Great unit, exceeded my expectations. Did not buy mine new (long live Craigslist)so the high price issue wasn't there for me. Would buy it again and can highly ...
